Cons (-) I wish the down comforter had been more substantial. Not surprising, but the food prices were over the top. The doors slam shut making it very loud when the "neighbors" come and go.

Pros (+) The location, fantastic. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast very tasty.
Cons (-) Mold in bathroom, dirty chandeliers in hallways. It could be lovely with a few cosmetic touches and upgrades. Outside staff more interested in talking to each other than greeting guests.

Cons (-) Accommodations were underwhelming for the high price. Also attempted to contact the Concierge 3 times to arrange a special birthday flower arrangement for my wife. They never called me back. THREE TIMES.
Pros (+) We had a room overlooking Public Garden and it was great. Nice view during the day and at night. Hotel is on Newbury Street and close to nice shopping, good restaurants, Beacon Hill - lots to do. Afternoon Tea is wonderful.
Cons (-) We had a suite and they charged us $25 for rollaway bed for our daughter - tacky.
Pros (+) The proximity to the park was ideal for my 12 year old golden retriever. She loved all the attention she received in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even during the holiday crush. Highly recommended.

Pros (+) A shower with black mold is gross, even if it is marble. The clock made funny noises about 2am. It wasn't the alarm, maybe a failing battery backup, Thought the maid fixed it, but nope. Only solution was to unplug it. Mentioned it when we checked out.
