A La Carte Packages

The PPC/PPAC/MSPHT programs at KGI are designed to prepare students with a competitive edge for application and admission to advanced healthcare programs. In order to provide enhanced preparation for KGI students, there are several a la carte options that students can select for a discounted fee.

Medical Spanish Immersion

Many healthcare programs view international medical experience and the ability to speak a second language as an application enhancer. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, only 6% of physicians are Hispanic and only 2% of non-Hispanic physicians speak Spanish. In contrast Hispanic people make up 19% of the US population, 70% of whom speak Spanish. Therefore, an applicant may enhance their preparation with medical Spanish experience.

KGI students will have the opportunity to acquire international medical experience in Mexico with training in Spanish. CENEU, in Ensenada, Mexico, will host a two-week special session solely for KGI students two weeks ahead of the start of the fall semester.

This program, including travel, is available to KGI students for $2200.

MCAT Review Course

The MCAT is required for application to medical school. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) reports that 2023-2024 medical school applicants had an MCAT score of 506 (67th percentile), while matriculants had an average MCAT score of 511.7 (82nd – 84th percentile). KGI wants students to have a competitive edge in MCAT preparation and test results.

KGI students have access to the BREM method MCAT Prep Course for a discounted rate of $1500.

MA Training Program

Clinical hours are required for some healthcare programs and highly recommended for medical school applications. KGI offers an Advanced Training in Medical Assistance Skills Workshop. This two-day workshop teaches students basic MA skills, patient privacy and HIPAA, OSHA and blood-borne pathogens, clinical skills preparation, patient care, and more. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance eligibility for Medical Assistant positions.

This program is available to KGI students for $750 (a 50% discount!).

Prerequisite Completion

Many students have additional prerequisites to complete for applications to the healthcare program of their choosing. KGI offers three different prerequisite courses over the summer: anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. These courses typically cost $499 per credit. KGI students will be able to take these courses for $299 per credit.

MSPA Pathway Program

The MSPA Pathway Program is designed for pre-health students at KGI who wish to matriculate as candidates for the Master of Science in Physician Associate (MSPA) degree at Keck Graduate Institute.
