Today I’m going to Eat 4 Michelin Star Dishes // Singapore Eats

Description
In 2016, Michelin released it’s first ever guide to amazing food in Singapore. The guide included the first ever hawker stalls to be awarded a Michelin Star. It also included the Bib Gourmand section, where they showcase the best budget meals. In Singapore, the dish had to be under 45 SGD, which means a ton of hawkers stalls made the list.
I decided to do a day of eating Michelin star meals - including breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. That’s 4 meals, 1 day, all Michelin awarded.
I started at Whampoa Food Centre (90 Whampoa Dr) where I ate Liang Zhao Ji Duck Rice (梁照记) and Balestier Road Hoover Rojak (豪华罗杂). It was my first time trying rojak and the flavours really blew me away. The duck rice was brain numbingly good, with soy sauce cooked rice and tender hunks of duck.
After that, I walked around lost for a while, got a bad blistering sun burn, and ended up at the Toa Payoh West Market and Food Court (127 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh). My hope was to try Chey Sua Carrot Cake (青山菜头粿), but I was too late. The place was closed. Luckily, the muffin man at Uggli Muffins cheered me up with a free chocolate muffin - not Michelin-starred, but still a very tasty snack.
After that, I took a bus to the Tiong Bahru Market (30 Seng Poh Road) and tried some hokkien mee at Hong Heng Fried Sotong Prawn Mee (鸿兴炒苏东虾麵). This was an incredible plate of noodles with shrimp and squid.
Finally, I met up with Sara and we headed to Liao Fan Hawker Chan (78 Smith Street) for probably the most famous soya sauce chicken in Singapore. The dish can also be found at the Chinatown Food Centre, where it originated, but we went to the more fast food like location down the street (mainly because the line at the hawker stand was insane). This was probably the most tender chicken breast I’ve ever had. It is definitely a must-eat in Singapore.
