What if instead of tying slipknot's they slipped it into each other. And what if they weren't called slipknot but they were called freakknot instead and instead of hitting a beer keg with drumstick they got naked and explored eachothers bodys

type of band you listen to when you're 12 and think they're the heaviest shit ever until you eventually find actual good heavy music

jokes aside i respect slipknot more than most nu metal acts and they did wonders to popularize heavy music, they're just not my cup of tea... rip joey jordison

alr that’s a more fair take but apart from self titled they weren’t nu metal. and mfkr is an amazing industrial/funk metal album

I agree with you on them having a definite industrial influence, but it just seems wrong seeing it being said.

Very shocked no one is talking about this. Wikipedia has already put in 2024 as the release date. My prediction is that it's being released on Christmas Day 2024. https://www.loudersound.com/news/slipknot-jim-root-threatens-look-outside-your-window-leak-2024

Vended (Corey and Clown's sons) sounds more like Slipknot than this band has in quite a while. It's like a mix between Iowa and Vol 3. Check it out, it's way better than Slipknot's newer stuff

I just checked them out. The similarities in Corey's son vocals is crazy. It almost sounded as if it could be Slipknot. They sound heavier too.

As the years progress, I find myself increasingly disenchanted with Slipknot. In its current incarnation, this peculiar troupe now boasts eight members, each of whom is concealed behind a most grotesque mask, their true faces shrouded in mystery. I am acquainted with bands of half their number, whose sound, I daresay, is far more substantial, and all of this accomplished without the need for such absurd costumes. I must concede that Corey Taylor's vocal talents possess a certain charm, a fact which cannot be denied. However, one cannot ignore the evident lack of true skill within this ensemble. At the end of the day, their racket strikes me as an aimless cacophony, intended solely for disillusioned youths who find death or black metal too harsh for their delicate sensibilities. And should anyone wish to label me a "hater" for my sentiments, I must inform them that I possess no less than two of Slipknot's works upon CD and have followed the band since their very first music video.

When I was a teenager I loved this band. I would see concerts like Live in London 2002 and I would think: Holy shit, I need to see these people playing live. But back in 2008-2009, the Slipknot I liked didn't exist anymore. Now in 2024, with 2 members dead, 2 others out of the band and an overgrown ego.... I will always have Live in London 2002.

although i kinda """grew out""" of this band, mate feed kill repeat is still a fun listen. the whole album has a very unique sound that blends groove metal, funk, and nu-metal into a very solid album. joeys drumming and pauls bass playing stands out in particular for me, even in the bands early stages you can tell that they were both very capable musicians.

Quando criança eu tinha até medo de ouvir Slipknot. Ouvindo agora, soam tão tolos e inofensivos. Legal de ouvir ainda, mas…
