Easy Beach Themed Snack Mix
This snack is perfect for beach trips, pool parties and everything in between. Gather up some fish-shaped snacks and combine them for this fun snack mix.
Summer is finally here and with it comes kids who never seem to stop snacking. I usually chalk my kids’ increased appetite up to days filled with swimming and playing outside, and I try to keep snacks on hand that are easy and won’t melt. (Though I suppose the Swedish Fish that I used for this snack mix could melt in extreme temps, so be mindful of that.) This “fish food” snack mix would work great for a pool party, beach trips with kids, or any random day of summer play.
Ingredients for Fish Food Snack Mix
Chex Mix
Goldfish snacks (I used cheddar and pretzel varieties.)
Swedish Fish
How to Make Fish Food Snack Mix
While we were at the beach, I simply dumped some of each snack into a gallon Ziploc bag. I gave the bag a little shake to mix it up and then poured the kids’ their snack mix. I found cute beach-themed snack cups and used those to serve our mix.
The snack mix was a total hit – the kids LOVED it!
You can swap out the ingredients as you choose, based on your family’s preferences and dietary restrictions. I avoided anything that contained chocolate to eliminate the quick-to-melt factor. The next time I make this snack I might switch it up a bit and use popcorn instead of the cereal.
