Air Playground is a must-see at Scienceworks this summer! It closes on January 27, and Mamma says it’s been one of our favourite exhibitions. As the name suggests, Air Playground is an indoor playground packed with fun activities, all centred around the fascinating world of air.
If you are looking for fun, laughter and endless adventure for your minis, then Landing Playcentre is the place for you. Plus it’s so pretty on the eye, with a gorgeous blue, grey and white colour tone, which is a bit of a bonus for Mamma! Landing Playcentre in Ravenhall is a Mamma Must Do!
They certainly don’t recommend it as one of Geelong’s best play centres for nothing guys… get your little ones ready for a serious adventure when you pop into Kidz Crew!
Imaginator (formally Imaginaria) is an immersive play experience like no other and it has reopened with a BRAND NEW REFRESH. Imaginator has made itself well and truly at home at The District Docklands and Mamma says you are not going to want to miss this fantastic indoor adventure.

Dreamskape is now at The District Docklands and it is incredible. Dubbed a ‘multi sensory entertainment hub’.

Little Village Play in Sunbury is the ultimate kids' play and party centre, offering endless fun with epic slides, ropes, and climbing obstacles. For younger kids under 4, there's a gated area with a massive ball pit and inflatable objects. Located in the heart of Sunbury, Little Village Play is a must-visit for families looking for a fun-filled adventure!
If you know Banksy and his work, or even if you don’t, this exhibition is worth visiting. Mamma recognised iconic pieces and discovered the stories behind them, along with surprising works by Banksy. The Melbourne exhibition is well set up, with easy-to-read plaques. Take your time to ponder the deeper meanings behind the art.
With neon lights running down the main feature slide, your little one will think they are playing in a galactic space! Trampolines, ball pits, mini cars, and play equipment galore - this play centre is perfect for little ones of all ages ranging from babies to toddlers to school kiddies.
Mamma guarantees your minis will make their way straight to the indoor splash park the minute they arrive. Ok, let’s start from the beginning - this imposing old gaol, in the middle of Geelong first opened in 1853 and only closed its doors in 1991. Up until then it housed Victoria’s worst criminals and the shadiest of characters - including the likes of Chopper Read and bushranger Frank McCallum. There were 6 people executed here in the gallows that are literally in the centre of the jail.
Funtastic Playcentre in Caroline Springs offers endless fun for kids. Highlights include a giant ball pit with twisty slides, a rock climbing area, trampolines, a foam pit, a ninja warrior course, and various slides. There’s a toddler area, a café, and themed party rooms. Perfect for energetic kids!
It’s a blend of augmented reality and go karting so the track and games are projected on to the floor - as are the oil patches or glue - don’t get stuck! There are also bonuses to collect and flames to shoot!
Here at the Seaworks Maritime Museum, some of that history has been preserved so that our generation get to appreciate it. There are plenty of amazing artefacts, and ship models to see - but the most interesting thing are the tales that the men who run this museum tell.

Beyond Perception at Scienceworks is the new permanent exhibition and is now open - entry included with general admission. This exhibition is pitched at 11 year olds and over - it is worth checking out with younger kids though - It is FREE (with general admission) and quite an engaging experience.

Factor in some extra play time next time you book in a movie sesh! Intencity takes up half of the foyer at Village Cinemas Sunshine but is almost a destination on its own. There are lots of arcade games to choose from, without the frantic crowds that normally buzz around the bigger game places.
Mamma thinks this is more like a massive waterpark than just a swim centre, and the perfect place to dive in for some indoor aquatic FUN! With a 50 metre pool, learn to swim pool, warm water pool for exercise, toddlers pool, spa and sauna, two massive 12.5 metre high water slide, a water adventure park and a kids splash pad (phew!), you’re going to have a hard time getting the kids to leave!
The Hoyts at The District Docklands has only recently just opened and it is a little different from the usual kind of cinema. Firstly, every single seat in the entire 8 cinema complex is a powered recliner! Ahhhhh! So good! It really is a touch of luxury to get you fully in the mood to relax and enjoy yourself.
Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq is literally a one-stop spot for some fun at The District and it is officially opening on October 18!

Melton Wave Pool is THE only Leisure Centre in Melbourne’s West with a wave pool! This is a great facility and something a little different than the run of the mill pool action...the wave pool is great fun.
This is a great all year around kind of fun for the crew - once they get the hang of you'll find it hard to get them off the rink and the smile off their faces.
