- UFC. Colby Covington accuses Jon Jones of trying to grope him when they were roommates: "He has weird tendencies"
- UFC. Joaquin Buckley Net Worth: How much money has he made from his UFC career?
This weekend, the UFC will hold its last event of the year, with a stellar UFC Fight Night 63, which will be the return of Colby Covington to the octagon, to face Joaquin Buckley, as well as a card that includes several Latin American fighters.
Covington returns after a long absence. His last appearance is a painful loss to Leon Edwards at UFC 296, which dates back to 2023, in a world championship fight. Buckley, on the other hand, has a record of 20-6, although with a five-fight winning streak in a period of less than two years.
'Chaos' Covington is a 36-year-old veteran and knows that he has little time left to regain his place in the UFC welterweight rankings, where he is currently ranked number six. He was also champion at 170 pounds, while his opponent is currently ranked number nine, so the fight will not have any title at stake
Covington, in a brighter stage of his career, accumulated seven consecutive victories, where he even won the interim title of the division, until he fell to the then champion Kamaru Usman. His current mark is 17-4 with eight finishes, four by knockout and four by submission, in a career of just over 10 years and just 16 fights in the UFC, where he has only won two performance bonuses, both for Fight of the Night and thanks to his spectacular fights against Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal
He previously earned recognition as an NCAA Division I All-American and two-time Pac-10 champion as a collegiate wrestler.
'New Mansa' Buckley is 30 years old and has knockout victories over Andre Fialho, Vicente Luque and in his most recent fight against Stephen Thompson, as part of his best winning streak in the UFC.
