Mario Brothers Rap
The "Mario Brothers Rap," originally "The Mario Rap" or simply Mario Rap (with the first part also being known as the Plumber Rap and the second part also being known as the Super Mario Bros. Super Show Animated Opening), is the theme song to The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! The rap samples the Ground Theme from Super Mario Bros., and it is divided up into two parts. It was composed by Shuki Levy[1] and Haim Saban.[2]
The song was covered by Ali Dee for The Super Mario Bros. Movie under the current name, in which the first half of its first part is used as a commercial jingle for Mario and Luigi's plumbing business, Super Mario Bros. Plumbing; additionally, lyrics from the song are featured on two of the movie's posters. The commercial shows the Mario Bros. driving their van and fixing a woman's flooding sink. While only the first part of the song is used in the film itself, the full song is included on the movie's official soundtrack.
Lyrics[edit]
English[edit]
The Mario Rap Part 1 (show intro)[edit]
We're the Mario Brothers, and plumbing's our game
We're not like the others who get all the fame
If your sink is in trouble, you can call us on the double
We're faster than the others, you'll be hooked on the brothers, uh!
H-hooked on the brothers
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!)
Yo, you're in for a treat, so hang on to your seat
Get ready for adventure and remarkable feats
You'll meet Koopa, the Troopas, the Princess, and the others
Hangin' with the plumbers, you'll be hooked on the brothers!
To the bridge!
Uh, uh!
I said-a h-h-h-h-hooked on the brothers!
The brothers!
The brothers!
The Mario Rap Part 2 (animated episodes intro)[edit]
Here we go! Yo!
It's the Mario Brothers, and plumbing's the game
Found a secret warp zone while working on a drain
Lend the Princess a hand in the mushroom land
Join the action with the plumbers, you'll be hooked on the brothers!
Now...
Evil Koopa and his Troopas are up to misbehavin'
They kidnapped the Princess; Mushroom Land needs savin'
Abusin' and confusin' everybody he discovers
They can't help but be hooked on the brothers, uh!

Notes[edit]
note - The phrase te riști, while colloquial, is grammatically incorrect: The verb risca ("to risk," conjugated here at second person) is not reflexive, therefore it cannot be joined with the reflexive pronoun te.
