The best breakfast pastry made easy with Air Fryer Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, easy to make in the Ninja Foodi too!
One of my favorite ways to use the air fryer is just by cooking some of the prepared foods we purchase such as Cinnamon Rolls.
Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls can be made in less than 8 minutes in the Air Fryer!
What is the benefit of making these?
Of course, eating them is the benefit, but we’ve found that making them in the air fryer takes much less time. These are ready in just 8 minutes without doing any pre-heating.
It’s also a great option to teach the older kids to cook too, my daughter is pretty handy with cooking these as well. We still get them out when they are done, but she loves to put them in and get them ready to cook.
If you want to add a twist, you can top them with bacon too, sounds tasty, right?
How do you make Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls?
These can be made in your Air Fryer or Ninja Foodi using the air crisp function. With either appliance, all you need is the air fryer basket, no extras are needed.
We spray the basket with just a bit of coconut oil spray, then place the cinnamon rolls right in the basket. The basket is the perfect size to fit the entire batch of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls.
How long do you cook Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls in the Air Fryer?
Once they are in the basket, air fry them for 8 minutes at 360 degrees. This should be enough time to get them browned on top and the bottom done as well. If you want them a bit more crispy, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
We have found 8 minutes is the magic number for our preferred taste and texture.
I haven’t tried this particular method with other brands of cinnamon rolls, I’ve tried Aldi and a variety of others just in the oven but none of them seem to compare to Pillsbury.
If you do use a different brand, check-in on them after 6 minutes to adjust the time if needed.
These are perfect for baking cinnamon rolls in the air fryer. It’s that same great texture and taste in minutes.
Can you use Aluminum Foil or Parchment Paper in the Air Fryer?
Aluminum Foil is easy to use in the Air Fryer. If you plan to use foil for Cinnamon Rolls, I’d suggest using this parchment paper that is made for the air fryer.
This parchment paper fits right over the holes in the air fryer and will help keep the air circulating and you won’t have anything sticking to the bottom too.
What about biscuits in the air fryer?

Didn’t turn out well. Too doughy and burned , so I flipped them and cooked longer, and salvaged them. Ok but not great. Then I went to the Pillsbury website. They said put them cinnamon side down, at 320 for 6 minutes, then flip, remove parchment , cook 4-6 minutes more at 320. That will work better for next time.

Sorry, they did not turn out for you. We make these at least once a week without an issue, but many times it can be due to the heat in the air fryer you use…for some reason they don’t all heat the same.

Hi. I used my Cosori air fryer. Same ingredients and they were a little burnt. I’m not complaining because they’re just like ovens. Now, I have a ball park range to work from. 🙂 Thanks for posting, I appreciate it.

My NEW NInja Foodie has a BAKE feature. Is there a reason why we Air Crisp instead of Baking?
Mommy Hates Cooking says
You can try the bake function but it may take longer, air fryer cooks a bit faster.

I preheated my air fryer at 350 for two minutes. Cooked the rolls at 350 for about 5 minutes flipping half way through. Perfect!!

So bummed I have 6.5 qt Ninja Foodi. Did it like recipe. 8 mins then not done on bottom took em and flipped. Cooked 3 more mins perfect brown. Outer edge all that was done. Too doughy.

I hate to hear that, I use my Foodi to make these at least once a week, we like them soft on the inside but haven’t had them come out too doughy.

Mine came out doughy and burnt. I used an 8qt Foodi exactly per the instructions. I flipped them at 5 min because they were getting too dark on top. At 8 min, they were still raw dough in the middle. I added the additional 2 min and they ended up really crunchy on the outside and still a little doughy. I reduced the temp and did an another 2 min. The cinnamon rolls ended up cooked inside but crunchy. I ended up putting them in a tupperware with the icing on them and let them sit for a while until the condensation softened them up. Next time I will use the official Pillsbury instructions that another reader suggested. I only googled how to air fry them because the store put a sticker over the package instructions.

I just got a small ninja air fryer a couple months ago and am trying to learn how to use it. Got 5 cookbooks also to help me. There is just myself to cook for so it is hard to adjust recipes. I try to use ones for two and eat them for two nights. Do you publish a recipe a week or a day? Please subscribe me to the newsletter and new recipes. Thanks Gracie Just found this site today!

I have used this recipe a couple of times now in my Ninja Foodi. I did not pre-heat, used the air-crisp function at 360 degrees, and have found seven and half minutes seems to be the sweet spot for the rolls in my cooker. I have not had to flip the rolls during cooking. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
