THE FIRST A 10 WAS OFC GERMAN! The Henschel 129 was the first true CAS plane and initially the twin prop had 20 milly guns, then a 37 mm but later appeared in an AT role with a massive 75mm gun. Basically it was a steel bathtub with space for one in a cramped cockpit with poor visibility as the pix show. A hydraulic damper was installed to deal with the recoil. Close up of the ''Bordkanone'' BK 7,5 cannon. Even by late 1942 complaints started about the MK 103 against newer versions of the [[Soviet Union|Soviet]] [[T-34 tank]]s. One obvious solution would be to use the larger 37 mm gun, adapted from an anti-tank gun that had recently been abandoned by the army. These guns had already been converted into pod-mounted weapons for the Ju 87 and found to be a fearsome weapon. When mounted on the Hs 129 the empty area behind the cockpit could be used for ammunition storage, which would address the only problem with the Ju 87's mounting, limited ammunition.http://www.sepsy.de/lf-HenschelHs129B-3TankBuster.htm Despite being underpowered it was extremely effective. More frames may well have turned the tide in Russia. 3 Likes

I read about this aircraft for the very first time, thx for sharing. Lets not forget in late 1942 the German Luftwaffe was in a attrition fight with the RAF and USAF in the west - the Russians already partly maintained air superiority along the eastern front. You know how it played out: The 6th Army was defeated at Stalingrad in January 1943. The Wehrmacht understood that their offensive capabilities were limited from now. In order not to risk to overstretch the frontline the german generals wanted to regroup the eastern front and retreat some divisions to better defensible lines. But Hitler gave the order to hold each and every position at any cost. No Wonderweapon (even more Tiger IV) could have saved the Wehrmacht from defeat from this point. The Hs 129 B-3 carring the 75mm gun arrived by 1944 and were build in small numbers only (25). Only a political agreement with Russia or the West-Allies would have changed the situation for germany, but the Nazi ideology of "total victory" wouldnt have allowed that unless Hitler would have been removed and replaced with a more moderate leader. 2 Likes |

The armoured sledge! The US has nothing like this;and why should they with the enormous air capability of their various units. You just know its Russian and if you didn't know you should slap yourself! Basically a sled a rear ward facing aero engine. Unsurprisingly it was Igor Sikorski of chopper fame who developed the aerosani (aerosled) concept. It was and still is ideal for snow and icy flatlands. These requirements including the specific terrain were met in the vast, snow-covered flatlands of Finland and on the surface of the huge frozen lakes such as Ladoga, Llmen, Seligar and in coastal regions of the Baltic sea such as the Gulf of Finland. The Finns, who were experts in ski infantry tactics, adopted the use of aerosan, mostly using the ones they had seized from the Soviets.https://www.warhistoryonline.com/military-vehicle-news/aerosan-war-sleds-red_army.html With time they were almost as feared as the T34: Thus, a number of successful raids into the enemy’s rear succeeded in destroying his rear area installations and capturing ammunition and equipment. Each aerosan was capable of carrying up to 500 kg of fuel and ammunition. It could be mounted with a machine gun, a medium mortar or a small caliber anti-tank gun. Modern versions can do 180 km. Sleds were originally pulled by reindeer and caribou. http://s3.amazonaws.com/the-drive-staging/message-editor%2F1525903809137-caribou.jpg 2 Likes 1 Share

TayserMahri: Forgot to mention this!! The war was planned longgggg in advance-Stalin,the Brits,French and Poles all had scripted roles designed to exacerbate and provoke tensions with Germany. The 1937 NKVD interrogation of Comintern founder,Christian Rakovsky an anti Stalinist proves as much. In order to control Stalin, international finance was forced to build up Hitlerhttps://www.info-quest.org/documents/redconspiracy.html The actual trigger was the invasion of Poland. Do you know why? A comic opera clown,Polish Marshal Edward Smigly-Rydz screeched of how he'd invade Germany (see him trampling the German cross!) and murdered thousands of ethnic Germans in the Danzig corridor. He believed in Anglo Zionist and Jean-Fraude's promises ! Fyi,Polish forces had attacked border regions many times. 1 Share

In case you don't know, Turkey is developing not just one but two new attack helicopters. The new project is T629, a new 6T heli which will fulfill the gap between 5T ATAK 1 and future 10T ATAK 2. 2 Likes 1 Share

As seen earlier Stalin had planned to invade W Europe by 1941. In fact when Hitler invaded his forces were caught offside at border jumpoff sites. He had a whole host of offensive weapons systems like the TB-7,PE 8, a 4 engine bomber with a 5 ton capacity was actually the first heavy bomber. This provided a top speed of 275 miles per hour, a range of 2,300 miles and a service ceiling of 30,500 feet. Rate-of-climb was listed at 1,150 feet per minute. In terms of the period, the Pe-8 could be compared to the Avro Lancaster of Britain or the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress of the United States.https://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=1146 1 Like

The first operational air launched rockets, the Russian RS-82. First used against the Japs in Mongolia in A2A role. the earliest known use by the Soviet Air Force of aircraft-launched unguided anti-aircraft rockets in combat against heavier-than-air aircraft took place in August 1939, during the Battle of Khalkhin Gol. A group of Polikarpov I-16 fighters under command of Captain N. Zvonarev were using RS-82 rockets against Japanese aircraft, shooting down 16 fighters and 3 bombers in total.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS-82_(rocket_family) However they suffered serious accuracy issues even in later models. Like most unguided rockets, RS suffered from poor accuracy. Early testing demonstrated that, when fired from 500 m (1,640 ft), a mere 1.1% of 186 fired RS-82 hit a single tank and 3.7% hit a column of tanks. RS-132 accuracy was even worse, with no hits scored in 134 firings during one test. Combat accuracy was even worse, since the rockets were typically fired from even greater distances. To further complicate the matters, RS-82 required a direct hit to disable light German armor, with near-misses causing no damage. RS-132 could defeat medium German armor with a direct hit but caused almost no damage to light or medium armor with a near-miss. Best results were usually attained when firing in salvos against large ground targets. 1 Like

2000 mm of RHA at the front with a massive 152 mm cannon! Object 490 couldn't fire backward due to its massively sloped chassis and seems to have been a testbed for new tech when designed in the early 80s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9fY6ac_0yU This thing is productionised would have revolutionsed MBT design-it makes all later foreign designs,Leopards,Merk 3s and 4s,T 90 series even Armata severely under gunned/armoured. Truly, the Russians design decades ahead! In a world of strictly tank on tank engagement this thing would've been unbeatable far outreaching NATO 120 mm tank guns and blowing up enemy MBTs at twice the range-today's battlegrounds with massive IEDs,smart munitions and 4th world Jihadis equipped withn UAVs it'd need more support, though. Edit: The massive rounds guarantee 1 hit destruction of any MBT but ofc THERE is a trade off. It carries 32 rounds while the 125 mm 2A82-1M Armata carries 45 rounds. Also if the autoloader fails manually loading the 60kg shells with a 2 man crew will be a BYATCH.

Germany never wanted world war! They never operationalised a heavy bomber like the Anglo Zionists and their workhorse for transport, para drops, casevac and bombing was the trimotor Ju 52 with a payload of only 1.8 T. On realising the operational realities of the battlefield their enemies led them into they saw the need for a strategic bomber and the 6 engine Junkers 390 first flew in 1943. A true strategic platform it was in flight refuelling capable with a 10 T payload, the equivalent of the US B 29. This would've been the ideal delivery vehicle for a nuke: in fact its rumoured to have made a transAtlantic flight from France to New York as recon for just such a mission !? Aviation historian Dr. Kenneth P. Werrell states that the story of the flight originated in General Report on Aircraft Engines and Aircraft Equipment, two British intelligence reports from August 1944, which were based in part on the interrogation of prisoners. The reports claimed that the Ju 390 had taken photographs of the coast of Long Island but no photos or other evidence for the existence of such photos has ever been found.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_390#New_York_flight The Nazis did have an active successful nuke project and some say the US stole heir tech to use on Hiroshima and Nagasaki but that's another story. A vid on the Ju 290 NYC recce flight. [/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hWLp0g7jYk] Imo, it did HAPPEN but you be the judge.

2 yrs ago I had a post on the Syrian ambassador at the UN explaining the US was using genetically modified soldiers as mercs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiQSmecuvmY Civilians in the city claimed to have seen giant humans eating the dead but I can't trace the original post. Anyway,it seems China is at it also according to the US National Director of Intel, who obciously isn't an internet conspiracy nut. . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdrscZFbO3U Now even,Jean-Fraude is getting in on the action! A report published last Tuesday by the French Military Ethics Committee has indicated that the country has begun to develop technology for bionically enhanced soldiers. The report discussed conditions in which devices like implants can be used to improve soldier performance on the battlefield.

https://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/?p=223443 THIS.ISHYT.IS REAL! Edit: I'd bet good money the U.S. ALREADY has operational genetically enhanced active field units of super soldiers maybe since the early 90s. |
