Dinesh Karthik Makes Big Prediction For Harry Brook, Says 'When He Finishes His Test Career...'
Since making his Test debut for the English team in September 2022 against South Africa, Brook has played 24 matches and, with the help of eight centuries, scored 2281 runs.
Former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has made a big prediction for England middle-order batter Harry Brook, who was on fire for the Poms in the five-day format of the game in 2024. Brook played a total of 12 Tests in 2024, and with the help of one triple century, three centuries, and three half-centuries, scored 1100 runs.
The 25-year-old right-handed batter scored two centuries in the first two Tests of the recently concluded series against New Zealand, and as a result of his twin centuries, he became the world No. 1 Test batter. He, however, failed to hold on to the numero uno position for long and was replaced by Joe Root within a week’s time.

Brook, who made his Test debut for the English team on September 8, 2022, at The Oval against South Africa, has 2281 runs to his name in 24 Tests played so far. Impressed by Brook’s super performances in the red-ball format of the game, Karthik, while speaking on the latest episode of Cricbuzz’s HeyCB with DK show, said that for him the 25-year-old right-handed batter is one of the most special players.
The former India wicketkeeper-batter praised Brook’s batting technique and predicted that by the end of his Test career, Brook will be rated as someone who has done phenomenally well.
“For me, he (Brook) is one of the most special players among the young generation. And for sure, when he finishes his Test career, he will be rated as someone who has done phenomenally well. He’s got a great free-flowing batting technique. And most importantly, he’s got a mind that keeps it very simple. And hence, he’s able to go out there and express himself without having any doubts."
Brook missed the five-match Test series against India and IPL 2024 due to personal reasons but was a key player for the Jos Buttler-led side in the T20 World Cup 2024. After making a comeback to competitive cricket in May, Brook played in the home series against the West Indies and Sri Lanka before flying to Pakistan to take part in a three-match Test series, which the English team lost with a scoreline of 1-2.
