Armed and dangerous suspect caught in Palm Coast, shelter in place lifted
. ( This story has been updated with new information. ) The Flagler County Sheriff's Office apprehended an "armed and dangerous" suspect who bailed from his car on Interstate 95 earlier this morning. Palm Coast residents in the F-Section were asked to shelter in place as deputies searched for "a black male wearing a black hoodie and dark pants" who fled near mile marker 293, according to a post on the agency's Facebook page. "There is still a large law enforcement presence in the area," the sheriff's office said in the post. "More information will be released at a later time." This is a breaking story. In Rare Rebuke, Palm Coast Planning Board Denies Application for Self-Storage Business on Pine Lakes Parkway
Over the past few years it looked as if every application for a new self-storage facility sailed through planning boards at the county or in Palm Coast. The streak ended Wednesday when the Palm Coast Planning Board in a 4-2 vote denied an application for an 850-unit, 100,000 square foot self-storage facility on Pine Lakes Parkway, halfway between Belle Terre and Palm Coast Parkway. The facility would have 26 outdoor recreational vehicle and boat storage spaces.

Mysterious Block Of Ice Falls From The Sky And Crashes Through House
If you had mysterious chunks of ice smashing through homes in hot states on your 2025 bingo card, you can go ahead and check it off. While a family relaxed in their home on Seattle Trail, Palm Coast last month their house was obliterated by a huge chunk of ice. The frozen block smashed through their roof. Thankfully, nobody in the house was hurt. Being hit by the terminal velocity ice cube would be fatal.
