Surrounded by members of his family, and with many more supporters looking on, Ringgold senior Aidan Hickman recently signed on to play college baseball at Piedmont (Ga.) University.
When Aidan Hickman was a freshman, Ringgold head baseball coach Drew Walker suspected he might have a pretty good player on his hands. But like any young player, Walker wasn't exactly sure what would happen when Hickman's number was finally called.
Part way through that rookie year, however, the call came out sooner than Walker had anticipated as Mason Parker, one of Ringgold's top players that season, was injured and the Tigers needed someone to try and fill in Parker's cleats.
