Thunder Sign Forward Sean Gulka

ECHL Adirondack Thunder GLENS FALLS - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils and Utica Comets, have announced that the club has signed forward Sean Gulka to a standard player contract. Gulka, 24, has played in four games this season with the Southern Professional Hockey League's Pensacola Ice Flyers and has one goal and 22 penalty minutes. In 74 total games with the Ice Flyers, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward had 25 points (12g, 13a) and 214 penalty minutes. Checkers Recall Keith Kinkaid, Assign Cooper Black and Liam Arnsby to Savannah

AHL Charlotte Checkers The Checkers have made a swap of goaltenders, recalling Keith Kinkaid from Savannah and assigning Cooper Black to their ECHL affiliate. Kinkaid, 35, is 4-6-1 this season for Savannah with a 3.03 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage. The native New Yorker has logged nearly 450 pro games over his career - including 250 in the AHL, where he has a 116-98-34 record with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage. Head Coach Jeff Truitt Takes Leave of Absence for Medical Reasons

WHL Prince Albert Raiders The Prince Albert Raiders announce that head coach Jeff Truitt is taking a leave of absence due to medical reasons, and is expected to be gone for the next three to four weeks. Truitt underwent successful eye surgery just before Christmas. Assistant coach Ryan McDonald will take over as interim head coach while Truitt is away. Conor Yawney remains on the bench as an assistant coach. "Ryan and Conor have the full support of both myself and Jeff," general manager Curtis Hunt said.
