Suzuki Baleno Problem

I have a 2003 Suzuki Baleno 1.3 L , JXR , Factory fitted efi CNG.

i bought it in 2nd hand , but i have seen that it have many problems , like every baleno have , i have heard about .

1) RPM dropping in lower speed n gears , on Cng only

2) Car makes back fire , but as i have changed its coils , this problem is covered more than 90%

3) After coils , remaking throtle butterfly , n tune ups at suzuki 3S workshops and even at Enercon Diagnostics , the problem of dropping RPM and ignition going off still not seems to be solved by any of the experienced mechanic.

4) No one , i think is able to tune it even with the software , that software is just a show up i think , as they do not have any thing to actualy inject in the car sensors through that so called computer machine......

Can any one plz suggest a better solution........???

hi .. what spark plugs are u using ? switch to 4 tip plugs ( back in pakistan we have a 2005 jxr and had faced the same problems untill we switched to bosch 4 tip plugs)

as for the backfiring issue... check the air cleaner cover (the plastic housing containing the air cleaner). The car backfires if the cover is not fitted properly and its common that the clips holding the cover get loose.

I've faced similar problems and these remedies worked wonders for me.

Thank You Man ! for replyin so early ...... well i am using single tip spark plugs as Suzuki 3S workshops recommend that .......and the air filter problem has been solved already, Back Fire is not a major issue these days.......so Plz tell me the exact specifications of the plugs u are using???? i wana try them , if they work for me too........

umm had the same problem fortunatly didnt had to get the coils replaced, well for the back firing issue jst be care full not to get water in ur Engine Bay specialy on the CNG kit And the Spark plug Wires And Coils.

1 pin plugs are Okay but ull have to change them Every 15 to 20 thousand kilometer, once u get BOSCH 4pins jst put them and forget abt it.

SUZUKI ORIGNAL NGK COST IS 980

LOCAL MARKET PRICE IS 475

BOSCH 4 PINS COST 900-1200 DEPENDS WHERE ARE U BUYING FROM

thank you Chnyoti ! for yr reply .....well i know all these cares.....i do all these.......but dropping of RPM and ignition going off is the problem which always keep going.....ok......let me change the plugs.....i have single pin SGP plugs right now......

Plz write me the Bosch Specifications for 4 pin plugs , i mean any specific number......i can buy from pindi or islamabad.....plz tell me from where can i get the best in rates n quality.........???

If your car is good on petrole then why spending at plugs?
I am using stock ngk plugs and i am 101% satisfied.
If your car drops RPM at cng then check if the airfilter pipe is properly blocked with some tape or else?
Secondly a short Pipe appears from throttle body and hangs out superfluously of about 2 inch in length just beside the pipe which also appears from TB and goes to tapet cover.

I have found that pipe as another major factor in unstability of the RPM.
In mine case mechanic just closed that pipe with a cork at its end and blocked the air coming out from TB through this pipe when once i complained the unstable RPM.
Dont forget to change air filter after a single blast because after a blast the air filter is of no more use.

Dear, I'd advise you to get that pipe the mechanic blocked off with a cork looked at by someone else as well. As far as I understand, the pipe which goes from the Throttle Body in the direction of the driver/dashboard goes directly into the braking mechanism and serves to create a vacuum in the big black thing, which is a crucial part of the braking system (I forget what it's called: power brake or brake assist or something along the lines).

If that pipe stays disconnected then you might notice a considerably heavier brake pedal and this can spell disaster in case you need to apply brakes in an emergency situation. I have seen a somewhat similar braking system in 2002 model Civic Exi and several Japanese cars; basically it's a precursor of the ABS braking systems modern cars have these days.

but ...after cleaning the throtle body...changing plugs..and changing plugs wires....its behaving really well ..masHAllah!

i have a maruti baleno 2003 model and having a similar problem of instability in the rpm .
Also, my cars mileage has tremendously decreased and i am not able to figure out y is that so??
I got the car serviced ,with new plugs put and still there is no difference.
Apart from this engine turns off when the car is running longer with a/c on.
Will getting the coils changed help me out or is it the cam sensor which is resulting into
this..This is the aftermath of getting the engine overhauled.

So plz can anyone give me some knowledge about dis.

check the crank angle sensor for correct clearance and impedance and its wiring should be correct too, also check the star wheel that triggers the sensor.

I am not talking about the pipe related with brake system rather i am talking about the smaller pipe among two shown in the figure below.

I also have issue in my baleno. There is no backfire but there is missing at low RPM. If I open the hood I can hear small spark sound inside the plug coils. What should I do? Change plug or coils?

looks like some of your plug is leaking the current.

i m having suzuki baleno 2004 in pakistan
the problem i m facing is in the gear box
it has started creating a humming

n when i m driving it in 2 or 1 gear it gives bit jerks as soon as i push the clutch the problem gets fixed

can any1 sugest me any solution

Dear Sarfaraz,

I have also experienced the same problem and thrown money alot, but got the solution, which is please don't ever repair the throtle, instead you buy a throtle from (Sultan ka Khoo, Rawal Road or Mithoo ka Ahata, Sadar) You will dafinitely resolve this problem,

i have a problem with my baleno 2004jxr that from 2 or 3 days its missing on first gear and sometime went off but on 2nd and 3rd gear its ok no missing problem.. koi mjy btaiy k kia problm ho skti hy jb sy winters strt hway han problem ho ri hy otherwise summer me aisa koi masla ni ta....any one please let me know ye problem kis wja sy ho ra hy ?

I have 2005 JXR.i bought it 9 months back.in start i faced missing problem but after changing colis(taiwan made) and plug wires issue resolved.But coils failed after 6 month.I am using 1 kabuli and 1 taiwan made coil ow.Car pick is very low.On first attempt no pick and on 2nd attempt when RPM reach to 4-5 car run.My airfilter box is not in good condition.Now on petrol car is fine but after applying brake when i give accelator car start trembling(few minor jataks) and then run smooth.I have changed one injector also.Kindly recomend me some good mechanic in RWP/ISB as here in abbotabad/mansehra all mechanics are juggar.they use silicon on coils and after few days issue reoccurs.
Also i need to know the market price of airfilter box and kabuli coils.Should i replace both or only one (taiwan made) as currently i am using 1 kabuli and one old coil.

Your swift response would be highly appreciated.
