Margaret, or Marg as she is affectionately known to all, is a rugby Mom and wife, and with two strapping boys to take care of as well as Adrian, Margaret soon adopted the philosophy “if you can’t beat them, join them”!!

Long before the family emigrated from the Black Country in the West Midlands of England, Margaret worked in her volunteer role as Junior VP in a progressive rugby club where youngsters of all ages were encouraged to enjoy sport. During this time, thanks to her sterling efforts, Marg received an award for outstanding commitment to youth rugby from the English Rugby Football Union.

Since living in Alberta Margaret has continued in her volunteer role and has been involved in youth development as part of the Turner family's pivotal role with Cochrane based Bow Valley Grizzlies, where she is proud to report she was a founder member of this vibrant progressive rugby club.

When Margaret is not a busy volunteer, by day she is a full time Registered Nurse. In her spare, time (what spare time she asks) she is an avid spectator of watching Conor and Cameron play rugby. Marg is also secretly quite partial to dancing to Tina Turner or Erasure songs and if you ask nicely you may even get an accomplished display of traditional Irish dancing thanks to her celtic heritage!!
