Original fruit
The flowers are followed by yellow, pear-shaped fruit with a smooth skin that reminds of the quince fruit. They appear in early summer and can be harvested at the end of October. They are appreciated for their tasty pulp and can be used to make fruit jellies or fruit purées.

An autumn foliage
The Chinese Quince is a small, ornamental fruit tree with toothed, shiny green leaves that turn orange in autumn. They generally fall in winter but may survive until spring when the tree is in a sheltered spot.

A word from the team
The Chinese Quince is remarkable; however, we don’t often see it in gardens. It is the ideal tree to plant alone, in a pot, or in a sunlit hedge.
