Welcome to Pure Shot basketball! Cherokee county‘s elite basketball training facility. With almost 12,000 square feet of dedicated training space including a full court and shooting lanes, we offer a variety of memberships, personal, and group training options.
We are excited to serve our community through the development of well rounded athletes. We believe that the foundations of hard work, commitment, and integrity will equip our athletes for success in not only in basketball, but also in life.

Brett Hereth
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
Brett Hereth was born and raised in Cherokee county. After a successful high school basketball career he went on to play small college basketball at Bryan College. In 2009, Brett began coaching and has coached everything from middle school, JV, and varsity boys. He is currently in his ninth year as a varsity boys head coach where he has won 200+ games, 3 region championships, 3 final fours, 1 state championship, 1 NACA national championship.
Brett currently resides in Holly Springs with his wife and 3 daughters. He has a passion not only for the game of basketball but also for the development of hard work, commitment, and integrity in the next generation.
BEN MCCLESKEY
DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Ben McCleskey was Pure Shot's first employee, joining the team in March 2021, He serves as our Director of Player Development, organizing and overseeing all aspects of our training programs.
Ben is an East Cobb native with a wealth of basketball experience and knowledge. After going 64-7 during his high school career, he played Division 2 basketball at Shorter University. Following his playing career, he has worked for the Atlanta Hawks, run countless basketball camps and has served as a varsity boys assistant coach at The King's Academy in Woodstock since 2018.
Ben, his wife and their four children reside in Woodstock. Avery is the varsity girls lacrosse coach at The Walker School in Marietta.
ETHAN PALMER
PROGRAMS DIRECTOR
Ethan Palmer joined Pure Shot full time in May 2022 as our programs director. Ethan is a huge asset to Pure Shot, executing our camps & leagues in addition to running our marketing & social media.
He is a native of Kalispelle, Montana. Throughout his high school career, Ethan was able to help lead his team to a region championship, two state playoff appearances, and runner up at the NACA national tournament. In his senior season, Ethan was voted to the all-region team, all-state team and NACA All-American team. After high school, he went on to play 4 years of NCAA Division 2 basketball at Emmanuel College where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Ethan and his wife Sadie live in Woodstock. Sadie is an English teacher in Cherokee County. They had their first son in March 2024.
