Chizawa Q
Born in Yokohama, Japan, electronic producer and DJ Chizawa Q has stayed firmly rooted to his homeland, and especially the bay area, currently residing opposite Tokyo Bay where he recorded his debut full length album Xenoverse. With his sound entrenched in the Detroit school of techno, it’s easy to hear the influences of such legends as Underground Resistance, Kenny Larkin, Carl Craig and the European jazz techno exponents such as Dave Angel, Vince Watson and Steve Rachmand in his music. On Xenoverse, Chizawa Q gets to spread his wings across the electronic music palette, pulling in contributions and collaborations from the likes of Masaki Sakamoto, Kowalewski and Dan Samsa, as well as a remix from Makoto Shimizu, the acclaimed drum'n'bass producer from Tokyo.
