Die cast trucks

I used to have a couple of the TTs ( herbst and steinberger ) I sold them to buy RC trucks but if I see you guys carry them I’d be tempted to buy them again lol
Just found the Herbst truck and it’s on the way here .

I have both Ivan trucks with the old school paint and Tundra paint. It's next to impossible to find the old school version and when they do rarely come up, they go for a lot of money. I ended up paying about $250 for mine. I was able to score the Tundra colors V8 one for around $70 new in box. I'd recommend checking ebay daily. But the price over the past few years has gone way up to where even the less rare Tundra paint ones go for $200+. Supply and demand. If you get one, Ivan will sign it if you ask him and so will Cal Wells III if you know how to get ahold of him;)

Yeah I’ve pretty much given up on finding the old school Ivan . I paid almost $300.00 for the Tundra and I just paid $200.00 for the Herbst .

Where there is a will, there is a way. I got mine after losing all hope and searching for years to no avail. If you type in a generic "Ivan Stewart truck" into a google image search, this is actually how I found the one I bought.

I circled the actual picture in red. So it redirects to a deviant art page where there was this dude with a bunch of pictures of diecasts. So I made a deviant art profile and sent him a private message asking him if he still had it. It took him a few days to get back to me and he said maybe, it's been years since he's seen it and it might be in his attic in a tote. He also told me that he only ever took it out of the box to take that picture and then he put it in storage for years. Long story short he finds it, I offer him a price. He accepts (He lives in Canada). We swap emails back and forth for a couple weeks. And I blindly sent $250 USD to some dude in Canada who I had no idea who he was lol. Turns out, he is an honest man and actually sends me the truck. You'll find one. Never give up hope!

I just picked up a NIB 1/18 AutoArt Toyota Tundra Ivan Stewart Dealers Only Edition!

It should be here this weekend.

The dealer's only edition, like mine, will come in this box rather than the windowed AutoArt box.

These were sold at Toyota dealerships in 1998 for approximately $60 brand new. I was 16 in 1998 and wanted one so bad lol. But I couldn't afford $60 at that age because it might as well been $1000. So instead had to buy them 20 years later for several hundred lol. Congrats.

I think I may have said this years back in this actual thread but still true....I'm really surprised there isn't some enterprising company out there making something like these today. With 3 D printing, etc I would think a smart person could probably find a way to manufacture something pretty cool that could be cost effective. I would guess sponsor companies would find value in this sort of stuff too.

Think the biggest problem would be licensing but yes it would be awesome if there were as many offroad diecasts as there is nascar . As much as I love the Ivan truck and all its details I think the average fan would be happy with the Herbst style ones to keep the prices down to around $75-80 . I know the majority of the NASCAR diecasts are about that price .
