Midnight Sons Unlimited was a nine-issue maxi-series published by Marvel Comics between 1993 and 1995. The story kicks off when Ghost Rider and Blaze find themselves in a small town, where there have been some unexplained child murders.
Eventually, the gang gets together to find there is a vicious and evil monster that preys upon the town's children. Everything is not as straightforward as it seems, and eventually, the full roster of the Midnight Sons, including Morbius, will need to get involved.

2The Origin Story
Story Found In: Amazing Spider-Man #101-102 & Marvel Team-Up #3-4
Morbius was first introduced in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #101 in a story called "A Monster Called Morbius!" The book begins with Peter Parker turning to Dr. Curt Connors for help in relieving him of his extra arms, which sends him to the Doc's summer cabin. Morbius enters the picture when Pete extracts some of his blood, believing it will cure him of his problem, and the Living Vampire is left for dead.
He reappeares months later in Marvel Team-Up, which detailed his origin a bit more, and it also includes the Fantastic Four, Professor X, and the X-Men.

3Rise Of The Midnight Sons
Story Found In: Morbius #1
Morbius spent most of the '80s as a misunderstood bad guy who was completely disgusted with his condition. He eventually returned from interdimensional exile to atone for his past conduct and moved into a supporting character role in Doctor Strange's books. When the '90s came around, it was time for his own book, which launched in a huge summer-long crossover event.
Morbius becomes a vampire vigilante, preying on muggers and the like, but when a bunch of demons try to take Manhattan, he finds that he can't handle it on his own. Enter the Midnight Sons! Morbius teams up with both Ghost Riders and Blade, under the watchful eye of Dr. Strange.

Back in the 1970s, Marvel launched several horror comics, with many presented in an enlarged black-and-white format. The stories within continued those from the main line of Marvel's books. For Morbius, his time was mostly spent during this era in the pages of Vampire Tales.
The stories told in these books detail a complex and lonely person, much like the Hulk, who is always on the move, preferring to be left alone more than anything. There is mystery and intrigue mixed with a great deal of action, and the overall fleshing out of the character, making the Vampire Tales compendiums a great read for fans of the character.

"Maximum Carnage" is, first and foremost, a Spider-Man title. That being said, Morbius did make his first appearance in the wall-crawler's books, and he's reappeared numerous times over the years.
He returned to the pages of Amazing Spider-Man, and all the other Spidey titles from the '90s, to join forces with his former adversary. The two fight side-by-side against the menace that is Carnage, and their battle forms a bond that will remain well into the future.

7The Return of the Living Eraser!
Story Found In: Marvel Two-In-One #15
Ben Grimm shows up just in time to save Alicia from Morbius after he attacks her in the apartment. The fight quickly spills out into the streets, but the two powerful beings are interrupted when the Living Eraser shows up in an attempt to take on the planet to curry favor with the people of Dimension Z.
Both the Thing and Morbius attack the villain, but wind up being transported to Dimension Z, where they learn of his villainous plot. They return to Earth and battle the bad guy, eventualy defeating him. After Morbius feeds off the disgusting deviant, he uses his teleportation technology to head to another dimension.

8Ultimate Morbius
Story Found In: Ultimate Spider-Man #95
Just like most of the main characters from Marvel's Earth-616 (Prime) universe, there's an Ultimate version of Morbius in Earth-1610. This version is very different from his Prime counterpart, as there's no ambiguity about his intentions.
Ultimate Morbius is not a bad guy, and he's someone Spidey should be happy to have on his side. Like Blade, he hunts bloodsuckers, as he has a very close tie to the supernatural vampires of the Ultimate Universe. That's a big difference from the other Morbius featured throughout this list.

Story Found In: Amazing Spider-Man #688- 691
Peter Parker's job at Horizon Labs gets a bit uncomfortable when he realizes his next-door neighbor is none other than Dr. Morbius himself. Not only that, but the good doctor is busy working on a cure for his condition, as well as the condition of Dr. Connors, otherwise known as the Lizard.
This four-part story shows what happens when a living vampire tries to play god in the lab, as the unforeseen side effects of his treatment drops the Lizard psyche inside of Connors's human body. In an act of vengeance, the Lizard forces Connors's bloodlust to publicly out him in a way he can't turn back from, and Spider-Man is left to pick up the pieces.

The Marvel Zombies books are a fun, imaginative way of seeing what the Marvel Universe would look like if a zombie virus were to take hold of all the people with superpowers. As you can imagine, it isn't pretty, and the infected almost immediately scour the globe, consuming every human they can find.
Prior to the third series, the Zombie Morbius, which is kind of a cross between a vampire and a zombie, scouts into the Prime Universe to take his non-zombie counterpart hostage. He then takes over, pretending not to be an undead monster, but eventually, the living Morbius frees himself, and reforms the Midnight Sons to tackle the threat.

Story Found In: Dark Reign: The List - Punisher, Punisher #11-16, Franken-Castle #17-21, and Dark Wolverine #88-89
Frank Castle has been through a lot over the years; he's had his family killed, he's fought against thugs, mobsters, and supervillains, and he's even been killed a few times. That's perfectly normal for a comic book character, but when he's killed by Daken during the "Dark Reign" crossover event, he gets decapitated and dismembered.
That's not the end for the Punisher, though, thanks to Morbius! The good Dr. uses a supernatural Bloodstone artifact to return Frank to life, albeit with a little stitching reminiscent of fiction's first zombie. Morbius and the gang rally behind the newly dubbed Franken-Castle as his support crew in the Legion of Monsters as he fights the good fight from beyond the grave.
