Had to have hands on CPR training for my job. Was dreading it, but the instructor was knowledgeable and nice he wasn’t boring and we had an interactive learning experience. Wasn’t bad at all.

    Excellent instructor
This is my second time taking the Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course. Of the two instructors I've had, this instructor, Melanie, was by far the best. She was engaging and interactive. She kept us entertaining and encouraged participation. She was open to question and answered them very well. I love that she provided her own experiences as well. Additionally, she provided a pretty good explanation of why certain steps are taken based on physiological principles. I have my PhD physiology ... read more and neuroscience, and the way she explained why processes are implemented in a certain way really helped us remember the content.

    Great hybrid course
I need CPR and First Aid skills for my job as a infant care worker, as well as a troop leader of a girls’ scouting organization. The training I received was thorough, introducing many types of injuries and scenarios. The online portion was pretty easy to use, and was not overly simplistic. There was good feedback. The in-person part of the course was valuable, with a knowledgeable instructor. It was neat to hear that the instructor had saved someone’s life using his skills.

    First Aid/AED/CPR course
My husband and I recently attended the above course given by the Red Cross in St Petersburg, FL. Our instructor was terrific, articulate and extremely knowledgeable. He shared the information quickly in a manner that made time fly. Our day began at 9:00 am and ended at 3:00 p.m. including a lunch break. We had our certificates of completion before we even made it home! We also live on a power catamaran and cruise full time. Having the appropriate first aid tools are vital. We knew most ... read more of the information, but learned better techniques on how to apply our knowledge.

Great Class but Slightly Strange Format
The class was great and they fit a lot of information into a short amount of time. I felt a lot more confident in my knowledge and abilities after the class. My only issue with the class is that I took the Adult First Aid/CPR/AED class but the in-person skills class also included the children's section so I had to sit through some information that I wasn't getting certified for. It wasn't a big deal but it seems like they should have put that information at the end so those who didn't need that ... read more information could leave early.

    Above and beyond
The instructor (I can't believe I forgot his name!!!) but he was knowledgeable on the subjects and went above and beyond to make sure we all understood what we were doing and that we left feeling comfortable being certified. You could tell he was passionate about what he did and he did a great job!

    Actual Practice
I am grateful for my instructors knowledge and being able to practice on a dummy where I was able to see the red line and the brain light indicating whether I was doing the compressions correctly or not. This gave me actual knowledge of just how hard I have to push to get the blood to the brain. This experience was so much better then when I took the class 2 years ago. Everyone should take a class from this instructor, he will prepare you for the actual thing! Great job!!!

This training was great & I left it much more confident than I was expecting to leave! I would absolutely recommend this training to anyone who would like a baseline knowledge in CPR and first aid for adults. Jessica was a wonderful instructor. She was clear, kind, and very funny.

Feedback on Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Class
Dear American Red Cross Training Services Team, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the recent Adult First Aid/CPR/AED-r.21 class. The content was incredibly valuable, and I appreciate the effort put into delivering it. That said, I believe that Chapters 5-7 were covered a bit hastily. Given the depth of the material, I feel the class would benefit from being extended to 6 hours instead of the current 3.5 hours. Thank you for welcoming my ... read more feedback, and for all the important work the Red Cross does! Best regards, Erika Hanke

    Great content, long day
This was a great session and I learned a lot about all of the concepts. Our scheduled time was 9-12:30 and we went to almost 1:30, with very few people asking questions or delaying us. I’m fine with the session taking longer, but going so far over time without knowing that ahead of time really caused challenges to my overall schedule for the day. I’d recommend just saying that it will take from 9-2 and then letting participants out “early,” when the content is finalized.
