This Thursday, September 20 is our first Courtyard Event. It will be a great time for all of us in the Middle School to have some fun. You don't want to miss it. This weekend, September 14-16, our Varsity Cross Country/ Volleyball and Girls Soccer team will be in Taipei for the PreIASAS exchange. We wish all players/coaches the very best for this important weekend of matches in preparation for the IASAS Championships in October. The IASAS venues for the Season one championships on October 10-14 are Soccer at Bangkok, Volleyball & Cross Country at Kuala Lumpur. Schedules for the Soccer and Volleyball games are now available on the blog at the following link http://atac.ism-online.org/iasas/iasas-1st-seasonschedules/. New Tennis Facility: Many parents have expressed interest in the new roof top development being constructed at school. This new construction will be the home of ISM tennis with 8 new ITF artificial grass courts, new locker rooms, bleachers and the area will also serve as a multipurpose sports facility to improve our available teaching space for PE classes. The project is well underway with completion set for early October. There will be an opening ceremony on Thursday, October 4th, any interested parents are invited to watch a student exhibition game and if you are a tennis player, please bring your racquet and come dressed in your tennis attire as you will also be able to have a game on the new courts on this day. The opening function will begin at 4:45 P.M. with a ceremonial cutting of the ribbon by Mr. Toze, followed by two student exhibition games from 5:00 to 5:30 P.M. and then the courts will be open for parents to have a game until 7:00 P.M. on this day. Please contact the ATAC office to register if you would like to attend this event. 2nd Season ATAC sports: Tryouts and Practice Schedule for MS & HS sports (Basketball, Tennis, Varsity Swimming, Boys Rugby and Girls Touch) will be posted on September 18 on the blog and on notice boards around school. For interested Basketball players see the flyers in this bulletin for upcoming Basketball camps being held at school for ISM students. IMPORTANT: Parents, please note the venues for the 7 a side C, E, G and MS Girls festivals on September 15 and 22 have changed. Please check the venues and times below carefully. Permission slips will be issued to all players via the coaches at training prior to each festival. Please consult the ES and MS Rifa League links below to get the latest information. The RIFA League 7 a side festivals will be held on the dates/ venues below: Saturday, September 15 - Boys Festival #2 and Girls Festival #1 Midgets C teams (C1, C2, C3 and C4 Coach Eric/Chris/Kleng and Jays teams) at CSA Colegio San Augustin Dasmarinas Village kickoff at 8:00 A.M. Midgets E teams (E1 and E2 Coach Popoy and Coach Francis teams) at ISM HS Field kick off at 8:00 A.M. Midgets G teams (G1 and G2 Coach Mike and Coach Isas teams) at ISM HS Field kick-off at 1:00 P.M. Well done to all members of the ISM Cross Country team both MS & HS who raced at Brent last Saturday, results for last Saturdays meet and all the meets completed during the season can be found on the Cross Country results page. http://atac.ism-online.org/atac/1stseason/cross-country-race-results/ Well done to our Midgets A boys who defeated Marist 1-0 last Tuesday evening in a very entertaining game. Today, Friday, at school our Midgets A soccer team play again vs. Hedcen at 4:00 P.M. and the varsity boys play Hedcen at 5:00 P.M. whilst we wish the best to our Midgets B boys who travel away today to Ateneo for their Rifa League game. Remember to check the game schedule for the latest information, the game schedule does change often due to involvement with many local schools so please check the page regularly to find out the latest information of where and when the Bearcats teams are playing. You will need your PowerSchool username and password to access the game schedule. Our Sailfish team have their first official meet of the year this coming Saturday with over 100 swimmers racing at Brent. Best wishes and swim fast to all competitors. The All year round program for Sailfish, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Aikido, Table Tennis, Chess, Gymnastics and Wall Climbing is now in full swing. Students can join our all year round teams at any time, just go and talk with the coaches at the venues after school if you are interested. HS Student registration for ATAC activities: (new for school year 12-13) A Google doc registration is now available for all HS students who will take part in any ATAC seasonal sports teams, MUN and Cultural Convention programs. Please take the time to complete this online registration for activities that you plan on joining this school year. Please drop by to check out the range of Bearcat products. We have a great team of volunteers who run the den and are always looking for more people to help out. Middle School Academic Bowl Practice Sessions


Do you know lots of interesting facts and general knowledge? Are you fast on the buzzers? Do you like Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader? THEN COME TO Academic Bowl Practice Sessions!! Practice sessions will take place in room P046 (Mrs. Birchenalls classroom) every Tuesday starting 11th September 2.30 3:30 P.M. Successful students will represent ISM at the next Academic Bowl competition which is to be held at Faith Academy on the 6th November 2012.
