Testing Step Tech 1 - Display Hint Setpoint Possible Error Codes

This document provides instructions for testing the low limit CO potentiometer (LL-CO POTI) on certain engine models. It describes how to check the potentiometer voltage, possible error codes, and how adjusting the potentiometer affects injection time and CO levels. The potentiometer should be set to 2.5 volts for the default injection time, and any voltage outside the 0.5-4.5 volt range could trigger an error code.

Possible Error Codes

LL-CO POTI * Ignition ON Engine idles (Only active when closed Idle contact) Engines C20NE, C20NEF, C30LE: 20 NE, 20 SE, 20 SEH / R: 2,44 to 2,56 volts 1,5 to 3,5 volts

Note: The LL CO POT has an allowable adjustment range from 0.5 to 4.5 V. The value is outside of the adjustment, an error code is set. By LL CO POTI directly, the injection time (t) over the entire load range are influenced. The center position (2.5 Volt is not equivalent to altering the injection time) is the default setting. When deviations only regulated O2 systems integrator to observe with. Potentiometer clockwise twist (increase voltage) means injection time extend (CO content increases) twist to the left means the injection time shortening (CO fraction falls). Example: Adjustment to 1 V: Injection time is shortened by 0.25 ms. Adjustment at 4.0 V: Injection time is increased by 0.25 ms. This results in a total adjustment max. 0.5 ms. IMPORTANT! In unregulated systems must be a CO exhaust Megertverwendet. Maximum CO content: 1% 2.5 volts Here the exhaust value is decisive for the displacement of CO LL POTI. * In the C 30 NE does not exist. Reference <0.1 volts
