The auction will take place on March 8, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Washington, NC. The funds raised will help cover the costs for boys ages 11 to 18 to attend The Summit, where they can work on merit badges, rank advancements, leadership skills, and build lifelong friendships. Local businesses are encouraged to donate auction items or services, with all donations being tax deductible and recognized for their support of the Boy Scouts.

    Doing it for the Boys

    Dear Potential sponsor, We are pleased to inform you that plans are underway for the Go Big, Get Wild, Send BSA Troop 99 boys to The Summit 2013 live Auction. Our hopes are to help fund up to 8 boys in their dream to attend the event of their life time, The Summit Jamboree 2013, in Beckley WV. The auction is scheduled for March 8, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Washington, NC. This has the potential to be an evening of great entertainment, delicious food, and a lively auction. This auction will be attended by local supporters of the BSA program. BSA Troop 99 is sponsored by the First United Methodist Church, providing them with space for meetings, events, help with transportation needs, and adult leadership. The troop is over 40 boys strong. The Summit will be made available to scouts of all ranks and ages 11 to 18 through this event. The Summit will allow scouts from around the nation and world to spend time together working on; merit badges, rank advancements, leadership skills, helping with a day of service in the local communities of WV near the Summit, participating in events that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to explore, building friendships, and having experiences of a lifetime! Please consider a donation of an item or service from your business for our auction. Cash donations are also greatly appreciated. Your support will be recognized and appreciated by troop members and supporters. We are a non-profit organization, so all donations are tax deductible. We will gladly provide you with the necessary information for tax purposes. Please contact me to arrange pickup if necessary. Of course, all auction donations will be noted in our publicity before, during, and after the auction. Our publicity provides supporters that are not able to attend our auction the ability to recognize and support our contributors.
