The Community Christmas Store Newsletter

The CCS is proud to announce that 2016 was another successful year serving others.
The total families served is 510.

A big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers!

The CCS Committee Chairs met on February 13th to recap last year and lay out the plans
for 2017. There are several fundraising events already on the calendar. If you would
like to help with any of these events, please contact the Event Coordinator:

Several of our volunteers have served in more than one capacity. They need some
helping hands! If you are interested in learning more about the following positions,

Please join us at the South County Library on Monday, March 13th to find
out more about the success of the CCS in 2016, plans for 2017 and how you
can be an even bigger part of the story. Bring a friend!

The Community Christmas Store was founded in 1993 in the City of Salem, serving ____
families. We now serve an average of ____ families from the City of Salem, Roanoke
County, the Town of Vinton and Craig County. The continued success of the store relies
on the commitment of its volunteers. Please consider serving in other capacities.

NAP Credits from the Commonwealth of Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) are available
through the Community Christmas Store. NAP credits are used by businesses and individuals to assist
non-profit organizations providing assistance to impoverished people in the Commonwealth.
