Focused skill : Reading Integrated : Writing 3.4 Read aloud expressively and fluetly correctly and observing correct stress and intonation and sentence rhythm. 3.4.3 Read aloud poems and stories clearly and expressively. Behavioural Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :
1) Read poem expressively and correctly with correct pronunciation and intonation under teachers guidance. 2) Express ideas about their favourite animals by creating animals poem. Vocabulary : shores, holes, hives, bees, sleeves Previous knowledge Moral values Thinking Skill : pupils have learned about animals in Year 3 before.

Set induction
Draw upon pupils previous knowledge. Examples : 1. What is the poem about? 2. Do you get the messages?
1) Teacher shows a video of poem recitation and ask the students questions about it.
Presentation
Attract pupils attention so they are able to anticipate the poem they are going to listen to.
1) Teacher shows a poem about animals and ask students to read silently. 2) Teacher recites the poems to the students and then the teacher explains to the class about the metaphors and new vocabularies.
Practice
Provide poems for the students to recite and express their understanding of the poems.
1) Teacher divides the class into 4 groups. 2) Teacher gave a stanza of poem to each group and let them discuss what they understand from the poem. 3) Teacher call each group and a representative will recite the poem and explain their stanzas meaning.

1) Teacher divides pupils into groups of four. 2) Teacher gives envelopes contain name of animal. 3) Teacher asks pupils to create poem according to the animal they get.

1) Teacher plays the In the Jungle Song and pupils will sing along.
