SUMMARY

I have a strong work ethic and have developed a sense of accountability for
completing and overseeing design and media projects. I have worked both
independently and as a part of a team on a variety of design projects. I have
spent the last 3 years developing design skills with a range of applications, from
event promotion and product marketing, to clothing pattern creation and editing. I
have a strong understanding of design elements and ability to implement my
knowledge about marketing and media in order to create effective design. I have
a passion for hands on projects and thrive in a dynamic environment. I excel at
task management both independently and while working as a member of a team.

Astral Chrysalis Designs
Santa Cruz, Ca- February-August 2014
Laser Technician/Vending Representative

Laser engraving and cutting of leather for creation of hats, holsters, and additional
accessories. Worked from a library of the designers original vector artwork to
refresh the design on each item in Adobe Illustrator and facilitate the laser cutting/
engraving on an Epilog Helix Laser. I worked with the head designers to edit
pattern files and create new sizes as was necessary. I did maintenance on the
laser and developed a strong understand of different cutting techniques. I
navigated and organized the library of design files. I worked independently to stay
on top of production will communicating with the designers to stay informed about
production needs. I represented the company at festivals and conventions, both
with head designers and independently where I was responsible for building and
managing a booth, making and reporting sales, and driving a trailer to and from
the events.


Sustainability Office- University of California, Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz, Ca- January-June 2014
Graphic Design Intern- Education and Outreach Team

Worked with Staff Supervisor and Student Intern Team to promote sustainability
at UCSC by sharing the campus' sustainability stories; engaging students, staff
and faculty in campus sustainability efforts; and providing campus-wide advocacy
for sustainability. Worked as the Team graphic designer for promotion of events
and sustainability programs and filled in as office graphic designer when needed.
Worked with the team to update an ongoing calendar of sustainability events and
worked independently with the GIS Lab Intern to design Living Lab Map of
Campus.



The Food Bin

Worked in the produce department and as a cashier. Prepped and stocked
produce, assisted customers in their shopping experience, and maintained the
cleanliness of the produce room. I was trained to close down the produce room.

I planned events, managed our finances, and I did most of the graphic design
work for our flyers and website. In addition to directing a component of the 2013
Brain, Mind, and Consciousness Conference by coordinating visiting
organizations, speakers, and art installations, I content managed the creation of
the conference website alongside a web designer who created the site from
scratch.

Santa Cruz Pirate Radio
The Brain, Mind, and Consciousness Show 2013

I hosted a weekly Pirate Radio Show. I helped organize the guests we will host on
the show and create music playlists.

Young Judaea Year Course In Israel
September 2011-June 2012

As a participant in Year Course I was assigned to several community service
positions over a nine month period. I assisted in the maintenance and rebuilding
of ancient ruins at Tel Arad national park in the southern desert and worked at an
urban community garden outside of Tel Aviv.
