How to Batch Plot Multiple Drawings at Once in Advance Steel FAQ
Question:
Is it possible to batch plot multiple drawings at once in Advance Steel?
Answer:
All drawings and details generated in Advance Steel are managed by the Document Manager and this tool can also be used to Batch Plot Multiple Drawings at the same time. Using this method, these drawings can be plotted to all connected plotters as well as plotted to a Portable Document Format (*.pdf) file.
Once Drawings have been created from the Advance Steel model open the Document Manager as seen below.
Next, expand the Details category and the Up to Date category. All the required details for plotting now need to be selected. Generic Windows commands, similar to CRTL and SHIFT, can be used to select multiple details for plotting. If all the Details in the Up to Date category require plotting, Users can simply click on the Up to Date category as seen below.
Once the relevant details have been selected, click on the Add to Batch Plot button as seen below.
All the selected details will be copied to a new Batch Plot category in the Document Manager. Select the Batch Plot category and click on the Choose a Plotter command in the Properties tab as seen below.
Preferred Plotter Devices and Plotting Preferences can now be selected from the Plotter Devices. In this example, all Details will be plotted to Single-Sheet Portable Document Format (*.pdf). Click OK once complete as seen below.
Next, in the Document Manager, click OK as seen below.
To ensure Details will not be plotted in error, the User will be prompted to accept all changes. Ensure that Plot the Documents is checked and click OK as seen below.
All selected Details will now be plotted to the Model folder as seen below.
