This code is designed to protect
•Persons
•Property and •
•Livestock, in locations intended for them,
•Against hazards arising from an electrical
installation used with
reasonable care having regards to the purpose for
which installation
is intended.

FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS
•Protect building occupants from the
fire and smoke during an outbreak.
•For example:
•Cables must be inflammable and self
extinguishing.
•Cables must emit low volume of smoke
when combusted.

How?
Use Flamastic

Flamastic
•Compound of waterbase thermoplastic
resins, flame retardant chemicals and
inorganic incombustible fibers.
•Coated on cables to prevent
propagation of fire.
•Sprayed or applied
•Permanent fire protection measure.

Where is it
used?
Use of Flamastic
•Cables underneath and in the
vicinity of control room.
•Pump rooms
•Generator Set room,
•UPS room, How to use?
•Places that require fire proofing.
How to use
•Clean cable surface area to remove dust, oil,
any other foreign matter
•Spray application onto cable. Like paint, 2
layers are required. May be brushed too.
•Upon completion, remove scaffolding and
painting equipments as they are fire hazards.
Common Practices
•Ensuring safety in the circuit;
check that fuses, insulators are in
working order.
•Each consumer unit should be
equipped a circuit breaker.
- Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker
- Miniature Circuit Breaker
