    The Bauer Media Group- The BMG is classed
    as a media empire (Producing 300
    magazines in over 15 countries)
    It owns magazines like Kerrang, Zoo and
    Mojo.
    EMAP was the second largest magazine
    publisher in the UK. However in 2007 it was
    split up and sold off.
    The BMG picked up the remains of EMAP for
    1.14 Billion. This made the Bauer Media
    Group the largest publisher in Britain.

    I think that the Bauer Media Group would be
    suitable to distribute my magazine due to the
    fact that they distribute big and successful
    magazines such as Kerrang and Mojo. The
    BMG does not have a current EDM/House
    music magazine. Therefore there is a need for
    a music magazine like mine to fill the gap
    which can get to a wider audience. This would
    bring the BMG more money as more people
    would be buying my magazine. It would also
    allow my magazine to gain notoriety as it is
    being published by a trusted institution.

    Background of the BMG


    The Bauer Media Group is an institution in the
    Media world which publishes 600 physical
    magazines, 400 online products and 50 radio
    and TV Stations around the world.
    In 2013 it was estimated to have earned
    around 2 or 4 billion euros.
    Its headquarters is situated in the city of
    Hamburg in Germany.

    Opportunities
    The BMG would allow for my magazine to be
    produced widely. Due to the fact that they do
    not have a current EDM/House magazine. This
    would allow for my audience to be reached.
    Current popular BMG magazines such as
    Kerrang and Q all have their own individual
    websites. This would allow for my magazine to
    have its own website. It would then allow for
    magazine to be marketed worldwide due to
    the fact that many other countries would be
    able to access my magazines website.
