Criteria A :
Inquiring and Analyzing

The student: i. Explains

and justifies the need for
a solution to a problem, ii.
Constructs
a
research
plan, which states and
prioritizes the primary
and secondary research
needed
to
develop
solutions to the problem
independently,
iii.
Analyses
a
group
of
similar
products
that
inspires a solution to the
problem.

that inspires a solution to
the problem

The student: i. Outlines

the need for a solution to a
problem, ii. States the
research

to
develop a solutions, with
some
guidance,
iii.
Outlines one existing
product that inspires a
solution to the problem

The student: i. States the

need for a solution to a
problem, ii. States some
of the main finding of
relevant research.

Student will be working individually, checking ideas about the existing product that they are able to create with minimal parents support. The idea is
to create product with recycled material, because this type of material is easier to work by themselves. They will continue working individually
drafting the Problem/Need, and searching the primary and secondary research needed to develop a SOLUTION.
Criteria B Developing
Ideas

The students: iii. Present

the chosen design and
outlines the reason for its
selection with reference to
the design specification iv.
Develop accurate planning
drawing/diagrams
and
outlines requirements for
the creation of the chosen
solution.

Outlines
changes made to the
chosen design and plan
when making the solution

The student: i. Outlines

each step in a plan that
contains some details,
resulting in peers having
difficulty following the
plan to create the solution
ii.
Demonstrates
satisfactory
technical

Demonstrates minimal
technical
skills
when
making the solution ii.
Creates
the
solution,
which functions poorly
and is presented in an
incomplete form

Students will continue working by team, showing enthusiasm, and participating actively. Always respecting the others ideas, and their time.
The idea is to create product with long life that are solving real-life problems. In this criterion is very important the collaboration among all
team members, and plan their time/resources. Promoting effective teamwork and purposeful/productive collaboration

Newly, students will be working individually reflecting about the quality of their product solution, determining whether the product reach the
objective (feedback of the target user through surveys) and evaluating their performance using the Design Cycle, providing feedback on the
learning process. Each student will prepare his or her own Design Cycle Report, applying the APA style.
