Advantages/facilitators?
Allows for creativity.
Requires critical thinking.
Encourages students to work together
(Communication, teamwork, leadership &
compromise).
Independent learning.
More ownership of the learning that has been
developed.
Allows for diversity.
Engaging for students (higher level of
motivation).
Disadvantages/inhibitors?
Task beyond the student (Could effect
motivation).
Group dynamics (Some students will take
control, while others will not).
With greater independence it may lead to
behaviour issues.
What facilitated your learning as a student
in this student centred practical activity?
Through the learning of student centred
pedagogies and teacher directed pedagogies I
learnt that Problem Solving is the most
independent of the learning pedagogies. I
learnt through the balance, travel and flight
activities, where we were to teach the visual of
a balance to our partner.
