It1201 SS

This document outlines the aims and objectives of the course IT1201 Signals and Systems. The course aims to understand continuous and discrete time signals as well as analyzing continuous and discrete systems. The objectives are to understand representation and classification of signals, basics of signal analysis using transforms, and analyzing linear time invariant systems using Fourier transforms, Laplace transforms, and state equations. The course also covers analysis of discrete time signals using discrete Fourier transforms and Z-transforms, as well as frequency response analysis of linear time invariant discrete time systems using FFT and Z-transforms. The course is divided into 5 units covering various topics related to signals and systems.
