Blind Flanges
USA Industries provides Blind Flanges for both purchase and rental meeting SA105 (Carbon Steel) specifications. Available in Line Sizes from 1/2 to 96 and Flange Ratings from 150# - 2500#. In both Raised Face or Ring Type Joint gasket surfaces, our blinds are provided for either Series A (MSS SP44) or Series B (API 605) Flanges, meeting ASME B16.47 & B16.48/ANSI B16.5 and B16.2 specifications. All other Blind Specifications A182, A350, B160, etc. can be provided upon request for purchase.

For line purging applications, past practice has been to use a slip blind and number of spacers sandwiched between the blind and the gapped flange. While this procedure can effectively be used to create a purging area, a number of problems exist which can lead to unsafe practices and/or damage to equipment. USA Industries new E-Z Purge blinds can help eliminate all of those problems. Our Purge Blinds are easily identifiable and can be made to any specifications requested. The current standard we use is a 1/2 thick 516 Gr70 slip blind with a 1/4 deep channel milled at either 3/4, 1, or 1 1/2 widths depending on the blind size. The ratio of gasket area versus purge area is approximately 50% to allow for proper sealing force distribution. Custom configurations available to suit your specific purge flow requirements. Available with Threaded or Socket-Weld connections and either Raised-Face (125 250 RMS) or Ring Type Joint Male or Female, Oval or Octagonal - gasket types. Any other material available upon request. Raised Face and Ring Type Joint dimensions and tolerances are manufactured meeting ASME/ANSI B16.5 and B16.20 specifications. For Ring Joints, Female oval ring grooves are standard, Male joints available. USA Industries provides one 1/2 or 3/4, threaded or socket-weld tap. Multiple taps can be provided, but must be oriented by customer. Thickness of ring may be affected if larger taps are requested. Bleeder cleaners (aka rod-out device, orifice tap cleaner or tap reamer) allow clogged bleed, drain, vent and instrument tap valves to be cleaned during normal operations SAFELY and EFFICIENTLY while completely containing the product. Properly using our tool eliminates the possibility of dangerous product releases which can result in your personnel and others being exposed to unsafe and hazardous conditions. Our Bleeder Cleaners are rated up to 700 F and 1,000 PSIG and are available in Four Model Types. Simple to use: Screw the end connector onto the item needing cleaning, Close the bleed valve, Open the process valve, Insert the shaft while rotating the handle.
