The book analyzes the concept of women in Yoruba religion by examining the different roles and statuses of women as mothers, wives, and spiritual entities called Iyami. It uses Odu Ifa, the Yoruba sacred scriptures, as the basis and teaches about the powerful and mysterious roles of women in the Ifa-Orisha tradition, how women subjugation is alien to Yoruba beliefs, and the emphasis on harmony between all creatures. It also details the rites of passage and distinct roles of an Iyanifa and a Babalawo. The book aims to inspire readers with ancient wisdom from Odu Ifa and mend a broken world.
