A WORLD LANGUAGE
There are more than 300 million native speakers of Spanish throughout the world being the forth most spoken language and the second most important one in international communication Spanish is spoken in 23 countries Spanish is becoming an increasingly global language and by 2010, 420 million (7% of the world population) will be speaking Spanish which will make it the worlds largest first language after Mandarin Chinese. Knowledge of Spanish opens up a new and extraordinary promising dimension for those individuals, firms or enterprises who want to try new countries and ventures

Spanish is spoken by over 9% of the US population especially in California, Florida, large areas of the Southwest and New York and other large cities.

There are over 20,000 Spanish periodical publications, 927 dailies, 350 TV channels and 5,812 radio stations.

Each of the 23 Spanish speaking countries has valuable contributions to make in the fields of commerce, industry and culture. To ensure success in the Spanish speaking market firms will need to promote their products in Spanish.
