1. Introduction
Pondicherry University invites applications for admission to PG/PG Diploma/Ph.D Courses for the academic year 2013-14 from the eligible candidates by giving due publicity in news papers as well on the official website. Pondicherry University offers the facility of online registration for the PG/PG Diploma/Ph.D courses in the following simple steps: 1. Registration 2. Application Entry 3. Generation of Challan & Payment 4. Upload of Photo, Signature and Challan copies 5. Updation of Payment Details and 6. Application Generation
Above screen shows the Registration page. You can register here to apply online for PG/PG Diploma/Ph.D Courses. You should use your Name and Date of Birth as given in the HSC/Degree certificate. A valid Email Address is mandatory for the submission of online application. This Email address should be kept active till the declaration of results. We will send important information with regard to application and examination on this registered

Login:
Above screen shows the Login page of your PU online application. Here you can login with your User Name and password to get the access to the PU online application. After entering the valid User Name and Password, click Submit. This will lead you to the My Application page. Here the Register and Forgot Password links will lead you to the Registration page (if you havent registered yet) and Forgot Password page respectively.
Above screen shows the My Application page of PG/PG Diploma Courses. Here you can Update/Edit your online application details. You can use Preview to verify your entered details. During first time login, you are allowed to update only the Personal Details and others will be disabled. Once you have updated the personal details, youre allowed to update other details such as Image Upload, Payment Details and Generate Challan. You can check the entered details by using the Preview at any time. Edit option to each page will be enabled only after the completion of each page. Here Print Application option will be enabled only if you agree & submit after checking all the details in the preview page. After the submission, Print Application will be enabled and you will not be able to edit the details or Generate Challan. Refer the Preview page below.

Generate Challan: You can generate Challan by clicking Generate Challan link. Your Challan will be generated in a PDF file format. Challan has three copies such as Applicant Copy, University Copy and Bank Copy. Check the Details/Particulars printed on the generate Challan. Payment will be calculated based on the Category (SC/ST/PH) given in the Personal Details page. A scanned copy of the paid Challan which has Bank seal and signature of the Bankers must be uploaded for verification of your payment. You must upload the scanned copy by selecting the Upload Images options. You can also generate your Challan in the My Application page.
Above screen shows the Upload Images page of online registration process to PG/PG Diploma/Ph.D courses. Here you should upload your scanned Passport size photograph, Signature and the Challan (except PH). The maximum allowed image size is 250KB. All the three images are mandatory. Valid image formats are JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG. You cannot add other formats. Challan image should be very clear and the details printed on the Challan should be readable for the payment confirmation. After selecting the valid image format, click upload button and the uploaded image will be displayed in the thumbnail box. On successful completion of image upload you will receive an email.(Check SPAM folder of your email account if you have not received it in INBOX).
Payment Details:
Above screen shows the payment details page of online registration process to PG/PG Diploma/Ph.D courses. Here you should fill the exact details in the fields which are given in the Challan for payment confirmation. All the fields marked with an * asterix are mandatory and have to be filled. Click Reset button to refresh form. Journal Number, Payment Date, Bank Name and Branch will be given in the Challan by the bankers at the time of payment. After filling all the valid details, click Save and it will take you to the My Application page. Clicking clear button will refresh the form to re-enter the details. You will be asked to wait for 24 hours after completing your payment Details for the payment verification. You can edit the entered details by clicking Edit button in the My Application page.
Print Application: Select this option to take the printout of your application. This option will be enabled only after clicking 'I agree' option in the 'Preview'. You must ensure before clicking 'I agree' that all the information displayed in the Preview are correct, since the information cannot be edited thereafter. The applicant need not send the hard copy of application or challan to the University. The application and challan may be retained with the applicant as the proof and submit it whenever required. The hall-ticket must be downloaded by the applicant from the University website which will be available about 20 days before the commencement of the Entrance Examination. Hall-ticket will not be sent by post.

All the other details like Image Upload, Payment Details and Preview are same as above mentioned for the PG/PG Diploma Courses. Refer above screen shots for the same. Change Password:
Above screen shows the Change Password Screen. You can change your password any time. All the fields are mandatory. Here the old password should be your existing password. Your existing password and new password should not be same. Click Submit button to change your password after entering the valid password and you will be notified through email about the password change. (Check SPAM folder of your email account if you have not received it in INBOX).
Above screen shows the Forgot Password Page. After entering your Email Address which is given during registration, click submit and a newly generated password will be sent to your Email Address. (Check SPAM folder of your email account if you have not received it in INBOX). You can change the new system generated password through Change Password option, at your convenience
