The course is intended to all power system engineers interested in the use of the harmonic analysis simulation tools in PowerFactory. The course will be dedicated to frequency domain analysis, such as harmonic load ows or frequency scans for identifying resonance conditions in power systems. Besides explanation of the power quality tools in PowerFactory and training their usage, the course provides theoretical background information about harmonics sources and network impedance resonances. After attending the course, participants will know how to set up network models for harmonics analysis correctly, and be able to conduct harmonics analysis by themselves. The participants should be familiar with the basic handling of DIgSILENT PowerFactory. Experience with PowerFactory s frequency domain simulation functions is not required. The number of participants is limited to 10. One workstation per participant will be available in the training room for the exercises.
