    The first PTSO Meeting of the year will be held on Sept. 8th at 6:30 in Media Center. All are
    invited!

    Student Services

    Seniors:
    You may sign up for your senior appointments before school, during lunch, or after school
    in Student Services. Appointments begin September 10

    Attention all Juniors & Seniors:
    The AK Student Services Department is hosting its annual College Admissions Night
    Wednesday, September 17 at 6:00pm in the Auditorium. If you are attending then be sure
    to print out the handouts which are located on the AK website. See you Wednesday night.

    Attention all Juniors and Seniors:
    Over 20 top Colleges and Universities will be visiting Ardrey Kell starting the week of
    September 15

    . To register for an Information Session with Representatives from these
    universities you must go into your Naviance Account to sign up. Dont miss out on visits
    from Chapel Hill, Duke, Davidson and Clemson just to name a few!! The sessions seats are
    limited and are on a first-come-first served basis.

    Knights In Action Community Service Hours:
    Hours earned over the summer (June 10 August 24) that will COMPLETE the 2013-14
    school year must be submitted to the Community Service Drop Box in Student Services no
    later than Friday, September 12

    . Summer hours earned for THIS school year, 2014-15,
    may be turned in when the 25 hours for the year are completed. STUDENTS MUST TURN
    IN ALL 25 HOURS AT THE SAMETIME. Please keep the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years
    on separate forms. We can NOT split the hours. Remember, this is NOT a graduation
    requirement and students will self report these hours to colleges. The hours do NOT show
    up on transcripts. This is a club and is a reward system for hours earned. Details about the
    program can be found on the Ardrey Kell Website.

    Speech & Debate

    Regular Speech and Debate practices will begin this Tuesday (Sept. 9) after school in room
    A303 with Mr. Harrow. The mandatory parent's meeting for all families who wish to join the
    Speech and Debate team will be this Wednesday (Sept. 10) evening at 6:00 PM in the
    Auditorium at Ardrey Kell.

    Yearbook

    You can still purchase a Yearbook from last year for $50. Please see Lori Lang in the main
    office.

    Yearbooks and Senior Ad pages are now on sale. Visit the AK Yearbook webpage for more
    information.

    AK Sporting News

    Welcome to the first AK Sports Report of the 2014-2015 school year! Its been a great start
    to the school year and our AK coaches and student-athletes have been working hard to
    defend their title as 5-time consecutive NCHSAA Wells Fargo Conference Cup Champions!
    Off-season workouts and conditioning will also be starting for many Winter and Spring
    sports. REMINDER: no student-athlete will be permitted to participate without
    completion of the Pre-Participation athletic packet, including a current sports physical.

    Welcome to Ardrey Kell High School Athletic Booster Club's Annual BBQ Fundraiser! We
    will offer Shane's Rib Shack BBQ plates (pork and chicken), Bulk BBQ (ready for your
    freezer) or Buffet style packages (feeds 12 for your office or tailgate party). All orders can be
    picked up in the AK bus lot on October 24th from 11 AM - 1:30 PM and 4 - 7 PM. Free
    delivery on Buffet orders in the 28277 area.

    Treat your family, treat your employees and treat yourself to Shane's Rib Shack BBQ!

    Come for the BBQ and stay for the big game vs.Berry! Remember to bring cash for the Bake
    Sale tent!! DJ and drinks will also be available!
