MARROW/BLOOD Marrow & Blood Drive We will be hosting a Blood and Bone Morrow Drive today. In
DRIVE support of Coach Justin Garza, Central High Schools head football coach and a close
personal friend of Mr. Moz. Coach Garza is battling his 3
rd
bout with Hodgkins Lymphoma
and his only chance of survival is to find a bone marrow match. He is also in need of blood
for his period blood transfusions. If youve seen the posters around our campus or followed
the news, you know that Coach Justin Garza has a wife and son and another child on the
way. Selma High School has teamed up with Bethematch.org and California Blood Center to
help find a match for Coach Garza. To give blood you need to be 16 years of age with
parent permission and you can sign up this week at lunch. To register to be a bone marrow
donor, you need to be within the ages of 18-44 years old. The only thing required for this is
to have the inside of your cheek swabbed. If you agree to do it, you must know that you
could be a match for anyone in the US and may be asked to donate your marrow to save a
life. We will also be doing Blood and Bone Marrow Drive that evening from 5:30-8:30 at the
football game in Staley Stadium. Invite your family and friends to help find a match for
Coach Garza. Lets do our part to help!
