The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
N O T I F I C A T I O N
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the
Constitution of India read with Rule 44 of the Fundamental Rules, the Governor of
Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Civil
Services (Travelling Allowances) Rules 1996 issued in G.O.Ms.No.226, Finance &
Planning (FW-TA) Department, dt.21.09.1996 and published in A.P. Gazette, Rules
supplement to Part-I, dt.10.10.1996 and as subsequently amended.
A M E N D M E N T
In the Rule 48 of the said rules, after sub-rule (4), the following shall be inserted,
namely:-
(4) (i) :- An All India Service Officer can avail himself of casual leave or casual
leave-cum-holidays, including optional holidays while on official tour outside the State
and within the India, and perform the return journey to Headquarters without resuming
duty at the outstation, on the lines of clarification issued by Department of Personnel and
Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, New Delhi, vide letter
No.11019/6/2001-AIS-III, dated 04.08.2003 and 5.12.2007 allowing the State
Government to sanction ex-India leave for private purposes in conjunction with official
duty, provided the total period does not exceed three weeks. This is subject to the
condition that the number of days spent on private work does not exceed 50% of the
number of days spent on official work. In the case of official visits of duration less than
8 days, the limit of 50% is relaxed and leave upto a maximum of 4 days are granted, after
duly following the procedure laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Travelling
Allowances) Rules, 1996.
