In my survey, only two males were asked to complete it. This factor will have a large impact on my
magazine when being constructed and taking the data into consideration. However, being a woman
myself I will naturally use initiative in my design and construction from a female viewpoint, so
naturally the research is in my favour.

From this set of data I was able to see that buying physical magazines on a regular basis is not very
popular among young people. It was also shown that it is, however, getting more popular to read
magazine articles online, which is a factor I will definitely take into consideration when making my
magazine.

When collecting this data, it was easy to that Indie and Pop were the most commonly favoured
genre. This being said, although I analysed more rock orientated magazines, I may steer more
towards the Independent scene as it is very popular among my target audience.

In this I can see that, as the surveyed group were students between 17 and 18, naturally they were
less willing to spend over 3.50 for a magazine, but would be comfortable with paying more than 1.
With this in mind, when constructing my magazine I will make sure interactive features are money
friendly and possibly recommending places to my readers that wont break the bank.

When asked about what magazines appearance or content appealed to them the most, Q was the
most popular choice from the selection. As a result, I will make sure to evaluate Q magazines layout
and the type of features it uses.

Black and white was surprisingly popular among both males and females in this question. With
monochrome being a very unisex colour, it would be a good choice for my magazine so it would
appeal to more people.

This is a good way to highlight the age range of my target audience. As the people I surveyed are in
college education, the prospect of free gifts competitions and posters is clearly not what appeals to
them. What I will make sure to include is in-depth well written, strongly musically driven content.

This data came out as a completely level playing field when asked if they preferred serif or sans-serif.
This has made it slightly more difficult for me to choose one for my magazine, so will see what looks
and fits with mine when in contruction.

In this question I also included a box to write down yours interests or hobbies, so I could not only see
what my audiences were interested in, but also was able to see whether they would want it to be
included in my contents page.

From this I can see that it is obvious that YouTube is the most popular website to look up music , but
Spotify is another contender so I may feature them both in my magazine as social media links and
interactive sights.
