M.
Usita, to our
Loving Father,
I stand before You
In the midst of confusion
And complexities of life.
My future sometimes seems distant
And unknown.
Give me, O Lord,
The vision to see the path
You set before me
Grant me the courage
To follow Your way,
That through the gifts
and talents You have
given me.
I may bring Your life
And Your love to others
I ask this through Jesus,
Your Son, Amen.
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy of life is to be kind, generous, helpful,
and honest. My personality is best suited for the profession of
counseling and teaching. I love to work with people and help others
grow and develop into the people they choose to be in their lives. I
believe people have the innate abilities to succeed if they can
remove the obstacles to their growth. Fear, anxiety, and depression
are crippling influences in the normal pattern of development for
people. Life is about growing, changing, and continually trying to find
out who one is in their lives. Life is mysterious, intriguing, scary, and
at times meaningless. These contradictory qualities of life make it
unsettling and ambiguous. Nevertheless, change and progress speed
forward. The rudder in my life while we are proceeding forward
seems to be the self-actualization of people and trying to help them
through the wisdom I have gained over my life. I see myself more as
a mentor to the young than anything else. I love to take the energy
of people around me and channel it to the next step in their
existence.
CAREER PLAN
After graduation in college I decided to take a Civil Service
Examination to start my career. While waiting to the results I will be looking
IMPORTANCE OF PRACTICUM
Practical application of what were taught in the school. For the students to gain
experience the true work environment
OBJECTIVES OF PRACTICUM
To have an actual experience on how to take responsibilities and how to deal
with colleagues and clients, and also to experience how it is working in a real
company or institution. To practically apply what I have learned from school. To
improve my personality and to develop skills in dealing with day to day
activities. To look for opportunities that will help me grow in my chosen field or
career.

BACKGROUND OF AGENCY
In the school year 1991-92, the College absorbed the Occidental Mindoro Community College,
Mamburao as a satellite campus offering baccalaureate and non-degree courses. It had likewise
acquired the 98.8725 hectare lot from the Organization for the International Scientific and
Cultural Advancement (OISCA) through the Provincial Board and Provincial Development
Council. The satellite campus became known as the OMSC-Mamburao Campus.
After the retirement of Dr. Rebong, the then Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the
Graduate School, Dr. Sofronio S. Sanqui, was appointed College President on December 19, 1994
and sworn into office on December 29, of the same year by DECS Secretary Ricardo T. Gloria.
Focusing on human resource development and students welfare, Dr. Sanquis management
priorities brought about significant shifts in the social, cultural, and economic structures of the
College.
OMSC has grown tremendously and has opened up four (4) service areas namely: the Damayan

OJT EXPERIENCES
As a graduating student, it is included in the curriculum to
have an On-the-Job Training. At first I am nervous because I
dont know on how to start mingling with the teachers and
staffs in the office which is in the library. But as time goes by I
knew that they are kind, understanding and professionals.
Inside the office I am doing what the staffs and teachers
do just like assisting the students, encoding personal
information of the students and checking the grades of the
students enrolled at the Occidental Mindoro State College.
The overall experience is really great. Ive learned a lot of
things from my boss that I know that I can use it in creating my
future.
APPENDIX E

Ms. Donna Jean Dela Cruz
