This poem uses mathematical terms like graphs, equations, and formulas as metaphors to pray for guidance in conserving biodiversity and being good stewards of the environment. It asks God to teach humans to meaningfully document species, trust God's plan for them to care for creation, and give equal rewards to complement God's perfect design. It prays for help following God's path, protecting endemic species in Mindoro Island, and hitting the target God wants while sometimes being irrational but aiming to be rational. The poem compares life's ups and downs to solving algebraic problems and views life as God's computation, with humans as a small part, praising God's almighty creation.

A PRAYER IN
MATHEMATICS
Lord teach us to make our
Biodiversity Conservation meaningfully, And graph them accordingly, Trusting us Your plan to be a good Steward, Complements Your perfect diagram Giving us an equal rewards.
Subtract the points You dont
want from us, And add the values You have set for us, Divide the values we possess accordingly, So we can multiply them systematically.
Draw the line we have to follow,
Protecting Endemic Species we have in Mindoro, Guiding us properly with Your arrow, Hitting the Bulls eye You want us to do. Because sometimes we tend to be irrational Yet all the while You want us to be rational.
When we learned that life is a
slope, With all the ascends and descents we must cope, Going through such a wonderful formula Loving everything we have in our area, Is just like solving problem in algebra Conserving all which is the best
Life is indeed Your
computation And we only a minuscule projection Give thanks and praise to Your almighty creation. Amen.
