Washington state high school lacrosse players of the week: March 11 20


Kings Way, Gonzaga Prep, Lake Washington, Seattle Prep, Klahowya, Puyallup, Jackson student-athletes
honored
SEATTLE The Washington State Chapter of US Lacrosse has named Unions Isaiah Pratt (Junior, Kings
Way High School, Vancouver, Wash.), Gonzaga Prep junior Charlie Larson (Spokane), Lake Washington
senior CJ Schuster (Kirkland), Seattle Prep sophomore Sergei Jacobs (Seattle), Klahowya senior Joe Hawley
(Silverdale), Emerald Ridges Zane Brown (Junior, Puyallup High School, Puyallup) and Jackson sophomore
Jericho Timbol (Everett) as Washington state high school lacrosse players of the week for season-opening
weeks March 11 20, 2016.
Central-South Conference
Attackman Isaiah Pratt had five goals to lift Union to its first boys lacrosse win of the spring with a 10 9
overtime defeat of Sumner, Saturday, March 12, at Sumner High school. The Kings Way junior who plays
for the Titans squad, finished the night with five points including an assist to power the Titans in the win.
Eastern Conference
Attackman Charlie Larson scored four goals as Gonzaga Prep opened its Washington High School Boys
Lacrosse Association season with a 13 3 win over Mt. Spokane in Inland Empire lacrosse action, Friday,
March 11, at the Old Mead Middle School in Spokane. The junior attackman finished the night adding an
assist and four ground balls to lead all scorers in the Bullpups win.
KingCo Conference
Midfielder Lake Washington senior CJ Schuster scored the game-winner with 20 seconds to go to the
Kangs to a 5 4 win over Issaquah in boys high school lacrosse action, Tuesday, March 15 at Lake
Washington High School in Kirkland.
Metro Conference
Seattle Prep sophomore Sergei Jacobs opened the 2016 boys high school lacrosse season in Washington
state scoring 22 points (16 goals, 6 assists) in four games for the Panthers. The attackmans top
performances included a six-goal night as Seattle Prep forged a 15 14 overtime boys lacrosse road win

over Bothell, Tuesday, March 15, then against Bothell he recorded seven points (5 goals, 2 assists) to lead
all scorers in the Panthers 15 14 win over the Cougars.
Narrows/Olympic Conference
Klahowya senior Joe Hawley delivered 18 points (9 goals, 9 assists) in two games to open the 2016
Washington state boys lacrosse season. In the Eagles 17 -1 season-opening win over Olympia,
Wednesday, March 19, the attackman delivered eight of those points on five goals and three assists
before a 10-point day (4 goals, 6 assists) in his squads 18 - 8 defeat of Stadium on Saturday, March 19.
SPSL Conference
Puyallup junior Zane Brown converted a Jon Hunt pass into the go-ahead goal with just 2:52 to go as his
Emerald Ridge squad prevailed in a see-saw second half for an 11 10 boys high school lacrosse defeat of
Union, Friday, March 18. Earlier in the week he delivered a goal and two assists in Emerald Ridges
opening loss to Curtis for a total of four points (2 goals, 2 assists) for the week.
Wesco/NW Conference
Sophomore Jericho Timbol scored six goals as Jackson raced to a 21 3 boys high school lacrosse win
over Meadowdale to open its 2016 boys lacrosse season. Along with his eight points (6 goals, 2 assists),
the attackman recorded another five goals in the Timberwolves season-opening shutout of Lynden,
Wednesday, March 16 giving him 13 points in the first two games of the season.
