POWER SOURCES
Thank you for purchasing the Satellit 750. Its features and capabilities are
shown below:
Power the SATELLIT 750 by installing 4 D alkaline, lithium or Ni-MH batteries or by plugging in the included 6 VDC AC adapter. The AC adapter plugs
into the 6 Volt DC socket on the left side of the radio. A battery symbol
appears in the lower right of the LCD, indicating battery or AC adapter
power. If theres a power failure with the AC adapter attached and batteries
installed, the batteries will take over and supply power to the radio.

SETTING UP AM AND FM OUTSIDE OF

NORTH AMERICA
To use the SATELLIT 750 in North America (U.S. or Canada), no changes to
the initial factory settings are needed.
In North America, AM stations are spaced by 10 KHz. In Europe and other
areas, they are spaced by 9 KHz. In North America, the FM band begins at
88 MHz. In other parts of the world, it may begin at 76 MHz or 87 MHz.
Follow these steps to set this for your area:

To change these settings for your area turn the SATELLIT 750 off. Press
the ENTER button and notice that -- appears in the upper right corner
of the display. While -- appears, enter 09 or 10 with the numeric keypad
and press ENTER. Repeat this procedure and press 88, 87 or 76 and press
ENTER.
TURNING THE SATELLIT 750 ON AND OFF
SHORTWAVE LISTENING
Press the POWER button to turn it on and off.
To learn about shortwave we recommend the two publications below, published yearly and available from major booksellers. Additionally, the Internet
is a great resource for learning about shortwave.
VOLUME CONTROL
With the SATELLIT 750 on, turn the VOLUME knob, located in the lower left
front, clockwise to increase the volume, counterclockwise to decrease the
volume.
SELECTING FM, MW(AM), LW, SHORTWAVE

AND AIRCRAFT BAND
The Satellit 750 receives FM on 88-108 MHz, AM on 520-1710 KHz,
Longwave on 100-519 KHz, Shortwave on 1711-29999 KHz and Aircraft
on 118 -137 MHz.
Turn the Satellit 750 on. Select FM by pressing the FM button, MW(AM)
and Longwave by pressing the MW/LW button (press it twice if necessary),
Shortwave by pressing the SW button sequentially until you have selected
the desired band (the band number flashes in the upper right corner of the
display) and the Aircraft band by pressing the AIR button.
NOTE: Be sure to fully extend the telescopic antenna when listening to
SW, FM and AIR. The swivel AM antenna is located at the top of the radio;
swivel it for best AM reception.
The Satellit 750 receives shortwave on all meter bands and between the
meter bands. A band is a frequency range that contains shortwave stations.
All 14 of the international broadcast bands can be accessed. The bands are
numbered 120, 90, 75, 60, 49, 31, 25, 22, 19, 16, 15, 13 and 11 meters
and are commonly called Meter Bands. Bands with frequencies above
13000 KHz are best during the day; below 13000 KHz are best at night. To
access the beginning of a band, press SW over and over. As you press youll
see the band number on the upper right side of the display. Just go to the
beginning of a band and start tuning.

OPTIMIZING SHORTWAVE RECEPTION

Shortwave enables listening to broadcasts over vast distances including
other countries and continents. The following information will help you get
the best results.
During the day, use bands with frequencies above 13000 KHz.
At night, use bands with frequencies below 13000 KHz.
Around sunset and sunrise, use bands with the entire shortwave range.
Getting very close to a window improves shortwave reception.
SSB (SINGLE SIDE BAND) TUNING

SSB enables listening to shortwave two way communications using the
single sideband mode such as amateur radio, Morse code, weather-fax
transmissions and other signals often referred to as utility signals. The
Internet and your local library are great resources to learn more. Type amateur radio frequencies or sideband into an Internet search engine.

To use the SSB control, turn on the SATELLIT 750 and go into Shortwave.
Press the SSB button and notice that USB appears in the display, to the
right of SW. Press the SSB button again and notice that LSB appears to
the right of SW. USB is the abbreviation for Upper Sideband, LSB is the abbreviation for Lower Sideband. You will need to use one of these methods
to tune in signals. Also notice that on the lower right front of the radio is
a control knob labeled SSB BFO. BFO stands for Beat Frequency Oscillator.
This control knob is used to fine tune a sideband signal.

SQUELCH CONTROL
Using the squelch control eliminates background noise. This control is used
mainly in the aircraft band. This control is on the lower right front of the
radio. To engage it, turn it on by turning the knob clockwise. Turn it off by
clicking the knob fully counterclockwise.
ANTENNA ATTENUATOR (ANT.ATT) BUTTON
TUNING IN STATIONS
The ANT.ATT button, located on the upper right front of the radio, is used
to attenuate a signal. Tune into a station, then press the ANT.ATT button
and notice that the signal strength indicator, located on the left side of
the display, changes at three levels. The maximum level is the highest gain
and the lowest level is minimum gain. Use the lowest level if the signal is
extremely strong and local. Use the intermediate level for average signals
and use the highest level for weak signals. Experiment with this control to
see how it works best with the signals you listen to and use it to your liking.
Stations are tuned using Direct Frequency Entry, the Buttons and the
Tuning Knob, as described below.
RF GAIN CONTROL
DIRECT FREQUENCY ENTRY TUNING

Use this method when the desired frequency of a radio station is known.
Turn on the SATELLIT 750 and select the band of your choice. AM and SW
frequencies are entered in kilohertz (KHz), e.g. 810 KHz or 9475 KHz.; FM
frequencies are entered in megahertz (MHz), e.g. 102.9 MHz, ignoring the
decimal point. Use the numeric keypad to enter the frequency.
On the right front of the radio is the RF Gain control knob. You can leave it
fully counterclockwise in the AUTO position, where it will function automatically, or you can turn it clockwise and use it manually to control the RF
(radio frequency) gain. Using it manually may improve the radios rejection

TUNING
Turn on the Satellit 750 and select the band of your choice. Quick, short, sequential presses of the buttons enables tuning up or down frequency.
A longer press engages Auto Tuning. In Auto Tuning the radio scans from
one station to the next, stays on the new station for 5 seconds and then
moves on. To stop Auto Tuning, press either of the buttons.
Press the FM ST. button when in the FM band to take the radio in or out of
stereo reception mode. When its in stereo mode, STEREO appears under
the left side of the frequency in the display, next to FM. As long as you are
not using headphones or earphones, it can be left in mono mode.
BASS AND TREBLE KNOBS
TUNING KNOB
The tuning knob can also be used to tune stations. Select FAST or SLOW
tuning with the STEP button, under the tuning knob. FAST/SLOW tuning
is shown in the chart below for each band. If you want to LOCK the tuning
knob press the STEP button for about 3 seconds. Do a quick, short press to
unlock it.

BW (BANDWIDTH) BUTTON
Use the BANDWIDTH button to choose wide or narrow selectivity, which
is shown in the lower right corner of the display as WIDE or NARROW.
This may help reduce interference on some frequencies. Using WIDE
usually results in better audio fidelity, while using narrow limits the audio
fidelity somewhat.
Use these knobs to control the Bass and Treble to your liking. Turning
clockwise increases bass or treble. Turning counterclockwise decreases
bass or treble.
STORING FREQUENCIES INTO MEMORY

There are two separate sets of 500 memories, allowing for great flexibility
of memory storage. Note the chart, below.
Memory PAGE 0, noted as P0, consists of 500 memories, 100 assigned for
FM, SW, SSB and Air Band; 50 memories each assigned for AM and LW.
Memory PAGE 1 10, noted as P1, P2, etc., consists of 50 memories per
page, 500 memories total.
To manually store a frequency into a memory, first choose the page, then
the memory location and then store the frequency. In the instructions
below note that MEMORY=PRESET. See the instructions below.
Turn on the radio and tune to a station that you want to store into
memory.
Shortly press the MEMORY button (the preset will flash in the right corner
of the LCD).

the page that you want to store into; press PAGE again to confirm.
Use

to select the memory location while it is flashing.
Press the MEMORY button to confirm it (or it will automatically confirm
after 3 seconds).
To automatically store a frequency into the next available memory on the
page that youve selected, press and release M. Note that PRESET flashes
with the next available memory number. Press M to automatically store it
into the next available memory or when it stops flashing its stored into the
memory number that was flashing.

To go from one memory to another give a quick, short press to either the
up or down tuning button (
), or use the tuning knob.
To auto-scan memory press one of the up or down tuning buttons for
about 2 seconds and notice that PRESET flashes. The radio scans from
one memory to another, staying on each memory for about 5 seconds. To
stop the scan give the up or down tuning button a quick, short press.
DELETE ONE MEMORY

Turn on the radio and press the VM/VF button, causing PAGE and PRESET
to appear in the displays upper right corner.
Use the numeric keypad, the tuning knob or the up/down tuning buttons
( ) to select the memory that you want to delete. To delete the
memory press the DELETE button for about 1 second, then release it and
press it again.

LISTENING TO WHATS STORED

Turn on the radio and go to the correct page by pressing PAGE and entering it with the numeric keypad.
Press and release the VM/VF button and notice that the PAGE and PRESET show in the displays upper right corner.

DELETE A MEMORY PAGE

Turn on the radio and select the page that you want to delete by pressing
PAGE, note that page flashes in the displays upper right. While its flashing use the numeric keypad, the tuning knob or the up or down tuning
buttons (
) to select the page that you wish to delete.
Press and release the VM/VF button so that PAGE and PRESET appear
in the displays upper right corner. If - - appears above PRESET in the
displays upper right corner, the page is already deleted and you dont
have to continue.
Press DELETE for about 3 seconds or until PAGE starts blinking and press
DELETE again.

ATS (AUTO TUNING STORAGE)

MEMORY STORAGE
ALARM SETTING
One can automatically store the strongest LW, AM or FM stations

into Page 0.
The SATELLIT 750 has two, independently programmable alarm timers to

turn it on and off at a specified time.
Turn on the radio and select the band that you want ATS to take place in,
either MW/LW or FM. Press the MW/LW or FM for 2 seconds. Notice that
page 0 (P0) appears in the displays upper right corner with the presets to
the right increasing as the band is scanned and frequencies are stored into
the memory.
To set an alarm:
1. Press the AL.1 or AL.2 button for a second or until you see the alarm hour
flashing in the upper right corner of the display. While its flashing adjust
the hour with the TUNING knob and press the AL.1 or AL.2 button. Notice
that the alarm minutes are flashing.
2. While its flashing adjust the alarm minutes with the TUNING knob and
press the AL.1 or AL.2 button. Notice the sleep timer flashing in the box
at the top of the display.
3. While its flashing adjust the time that the radio is to play with the TUNING knob and press the AL.1 or AL.2 button.
CLOCK (TIME) SETTING

The SATELLIT 750s clock is in 24-hour format and can be set with the
radio on or off. When the radio is turned off the clock shows in mid-display.
When the radio is turned on the clock shows in the upper right corner of the
display.
Note that after setting the hour or minutes you can simply let the flashing
number time-out, without pressing the AL.1 or AL.2 button.
To set the clock:

1. Press the TIME button for about a second or until you see the hour
flashing.
2. While its flashing turn the TUNING knob to set it to the correct hour,
then press TIME and note that the minutes are flashing.
3. While its flashing turn the TUNING knob to set it to the correct minutes,
then press TIME.
Once the alarm is on (by radio or buzzer), only the POWER, SLEEP, LIGHT/
SNOOZE and RESET can be operated. Press the POWER or SLEEP buttons
to turn off the alarm.
Note that after setting the hour or minutes you can simply let the flashing
number time-out, without pressing the TIME button.

LIGHT/SNOOZE BUTTON
USING THE LIGHT BUTTON
When the alarm is activated, press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button to temporarily deactivate the timer for 10 minutes. You can press the LIGHT/SNOOZE
button 3 times within the alarm period, after that you can turn off the
alarm by press it again.
A quick press of the LIGHT button gives about 5 seconds of illumination

to the SIGNAL strength indicator and the display. A long press lights these
for as long as the radio is turned on, so be careful if youre operating on
batteries, because it will make them drain faster. If youre AC adapter is
connected, the light can be left on continuously.
ALARM ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION
For the alarm to turn on the radio, it must be activated. To activate the
alarm the SATELLIT 750 can be turned on or off.
To activate the alarm, look at the top of the display, to the right of where it
reads TIMER A and TIMER B. Use quick, short presses of the AL.1 ON/OFF or
AL.2 ON/OFF buttons. When the speaker is there, it wakes you to the radio
playing; when the bell is there, it wakes you to an electronic beeper; when
nothing is there, the alarm is deactivated.
SLEEP TIMER
EARPHONE SOCKET
The earphone socket is on the lower left front of the radio and is labeled
EAR. Plug in earphones and headphones using a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) stereo
plug. Turn the volume down before plugging them in.
LINE-IN SOCKET
The LINE-IN socket is on the lower left front of the radio and allows you to
route the sound from another device to the Satellit 750. Use a cord with
a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) stereo plug. This socket uses an industry standard line
level input.
The sleep timer enables the SATELLIT 750 to play any length of time from
1 120 minutes and then turn off.
LINE OUT SOCKETS

To turn on the sleep timer, press the SLEEP button on the upper, right front
of the radio. Notice that the number of minutes to play appears in the
display. While they appear there, press the SLEEP button over and over and
it sequences through 1 to 120 minutes. Leave it on the minutes that you
want it to play.

On the back of the radio are the left and right line-out sockets, labeled LINE
OUT. These sockets use an industry standard line level output and can be
routed to any industry standard line level input.

EXTERNAL ANTENNA SOCKETS
RESET BUTTON
The external antenna sockets are used to connect the SATELLIT 750 to
advanced performance antennas.
The reset button is located to the left under the TUNING knob. When the
unit is dead or seems to stop functioning properly, press the Reset Button
to reboot the unit. Stored memories and the alarm clock settings will not
be eliminated. After its pressed the AM station spacing will have to be set
again for North America.
On the right side of the radio are the 50 Ohm BNC sockets for FM and
Shortwave. 50 or 75 Ohm coaxial cable can be used to feed the properly
designed antenna. To find antennas we recommend that you perform
a web search by typing FM antennas or shortwave antennas into an
Internet search engine.
There is also a black and red socket, labeled 500 Ohms, designed to work
with a high impedance Shortwave antenna, 300-600 Ohms, such as a
long wire antenna. Plug a long piece of wire, 10 to 35 meters or 30 to 100
feet, into the red socket and position it above ground, running in as much a
straight line as possible, not touching any other metal objects. If you do this
indoors, position the wire as close to windows as possible. Plug a 10 to 20
meter or 30 to 60 foot wire into the black socket and let it run on the floor
or ground. Or attach the black socket to a cold water pipe with as short a
piece of wire as possible.
On the rotateable AM antenna, at the top of the radio, is a socket for 50 or
75 Ohm plug-in AM antennas.

THE RADIO
Use the small, empty compartment next to the battery compartment as
you wish.
SYSTEM CODE SETTING

To enter different system codes turn off the radio and perform a quick,
short press of the ENTER button. _ _ appears on the upper right corner of
the display. Enter the system code as below, then push ENTER to confirm
the system code.
When using external sockets select EXTERNAL with the selector switch on
the right side of the radio. When using the internal antennas of the radio,
switch it to ANTENNA.
NOTE: always unplug all antennas that are mounted outside when a
lightning storm is predicted.

SOURCES DALIMENTATION
Alimentez le SATELLIT 750 en insrant 4 piles alcalines 4 D, lithium ou NiMH, ou en branchant le transformateur 6 Vcc/ca inclus. Le transformateur
CA (courant alternatif) se branche la prise 6 Volt CC situe sur le ct
gauche de la radio. Le symbole dune batterie apparat dans langle infrieur
droit de lcran cristaux liquides. En cas de coupure de courant avec le
transformateur CA et si des piles sont installes, celles-ci prennent le relai
et alimentent la radio.
PREVENTION CONTRE LES FUITES DE BATTERIE

Pour rduire le risque dune fuite dacide provenant des piles, utilisez
uniquement des piles alcalines lithium haute qualit ou des batteries rechargeables au nickel-mtal-hydrure. Ne mlangez jamais de piles usages
avec des nouvelles, ou diffrentes marques de piles. Les dommages causs
par des fuites dacide ne sont pas couverts par la garantie de ce produit.

Pour utiliser le SATELLIT 750 en Amrique du Nord (U.S.A ou Canada),
aucun changement des paramtres dusine par dfaut nest ncessaire.
En Amrique du Nord, les stations AM sont espaces de 10 KHz. En Europe
et dans dautres rgions, elles sont espaces de 9 KHz. En Amrique du
Nord, la bande FM commence 88 MHz. Dans dautres parties du monde,

elle peut commencer 76 MHz ou 87 MHz. Suivez ces tapes pour rgler
ceci pour votre rgion:

Pour changer ces paramtres pour votre rgion, teignez le SATELLIT 750.

le clavier numrique et appuyez sur ENTER. Rptez cette procdure et
appuyez sur 88, 87 ou 76 et appuyez sur ENTER.
REMARQUE : assurez-vous de sortir totalement lantenne tlscopique

lorsque vous coutez SW, FM ou AIR. Lantenne AM sur rotule se trouve sur
le dessus de la radio ; la rotule permet une meilleure rception AM.

Appuyez sur la touche POWER pour allumer ou teindre lunit..
CONTROLE DU VOLUME
Le Satellit 750 reoit les ondes courtes sur toutes les bandes mtriques
et entre les bandes mtriques. Une bande est une gamme de frquences
qui contient les stations en ondes courtes. On peut accder aux 14 bandes
dmissions internationales. Les bandes sont numrotes 120, 90, 75,
60, 49, 31, 25, 22, 19, 16, 15, 13 et 11 mtres et sont communment
appeles Bandes mtriques. Les bandes avec les frquences en dessus
de 13000 KHz sont mieux rceptionnes durant la journe; en dessous de
13000 KHz la nuit. Pour accder au dbut dune bande, appuyez sur SW
plusieurs fois. Tant que vous appuyez vous verrez le numro de bande sur
le ct droit suprieur de laffichage. Allez juste au dbut dune bande et
commencez syntoniser.
Le SATELLIT 750 allum, tournez le bouton VOLUME, situ sur lavant en

bas gauche, dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre pour augmenter le
volume, ou dans le sens inverse pour diminuer le volume.
ECOUTER LES ONDES COURTES

SELECTIONNER LA BANDE FM, MW(AM), LW,
OC OU AIRCRAFT
Le Satellit 750 reoit la FM entre 88 et 108 MHz, AM entre 520 et 1710
KHz, les grandes ondes entre 100 et 519 KHz, les Ondes courtes entre
1711 et 29999 kHz et Aircraft entre 118 et 137 MHz.
Allumez le Satellit 750. Slectionnez la bande FM en appuyant sur la
touche FM, MW(AM), grandes ondes en appuyant sur la touche MW/LW
(appuyez deux fois si ncessaire), ondes courtes en appuyant su la touche
SW squentiellement jusqu la bande dsire (le numro de bande clignote

OPTIMISER LA RECEPTION DES ONDES COURTES
BOUTON ATTENUATEUR DANTENNE (ANT.ATT)
Les ondes courtes permettent dcouter des programmes diffuss sur des
grandes distances, y compris dautres pays ou continents. Les informations
suivantes vont vous aider obtenir les meilleurs rsultats.
Le jour, utilisez les frquences suprieures 13 000 kHz.
La nuit, utilisez les frquences infrieures 13 000 kHz.
Au coucher et au lever du soleil, utilisez la largeur complte de la bande de
frquences en ondes courtes.
Se placer proximit dune fentre et tenir la radio, amliorent la rception des ondes courtes.
La touche ANT.ATT, situe dans langle avant droit suprieur de la radio,

est utilise pour attnuer un signal, puis appuyez sur la touche ANT.ATT et
remarquez que lindicateur de la force du signal, situ sur le ct gauche de
laffichage, change selon trois niveaux. Le niveau maximum correspond au
gain maximal et le niveau minimum est le gain minimal. Utilisez le niveau
minimum si le signal est particulirement fort et proche. Utilisez le niveau
intermdiaire pour les signaux moyens et utilisez le niveau le plus lev
pour les signaux les plus faibles. Faites des essais avec cette commande et
dcouvrez son fonctionnement optimal avec les signaux que vous coutez,
puis utilisez-la selon vos gots.
SYNTONISATION BLU (BANDE LATERALE UNIQUE)

La BLU (SSB) permet dcouter les communications en ondes courtes deux
voies en utilisant le mode bande latrale unique comme la radio amateur,
le code Morse, les transmissions fax-mto et les autres signaux souvent
rfrencs comme les signaux polyvalents . Internet et la bibliothque
locale sont des sources importantes dinformation pour en savoir plus.
Saisissez frquences radio amateurs ou bande latrale (sideband)
dans un moteur de recherche Internet.
Pour utiliser le contrle SSB, allumez le SATELLIT 750, allez dans Ondes
Courtes et remarquez lapparition dUSB lcran, droite de SW. Appuyez
sur la touche SSB nouveau et remarquez maintenant lapparition de LSB
droite de SW. USB est labrviation dUpper Sideband (bande latrale suprieure). Vous devez utiliser lune de ces mthodes pour rgler les signaux.
Notez en outre quun bouton de commande tiquet SSB BFO se trouve en
bas droite de la radio. BFO signifie Beat Frequency Oscillator (oscillateur
de battements). Ce bouton de commande est utilis pour rgler finement
un signal bande latrale.

COMMANDE DE GAIN RF (RADIO FREQUENCE)

Sur le ct droit de la radio, vous trouverez le bouton de gain RF. Vous pouvez le laisser au maximum dans le sens inverse des aiguilles dune montre
dans la position AUTO, o le fonctionnement sera automatique, ou vous
pouvez le tourner dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre pour contrler le
gain RF (radio frquence) manuellement. Lutilisation manuelle amliore la
filtration des interfrences des frquences adjacentes, particulirement en
Ondes Courtes. Ce commutateur ne fonctionne pas en FM.
COMMANDE DU SILENCIEUX
Lutilisation du silencieux permet dliminer le bruit de fond. Ce contrle
est principalement utilis en bande aircraft. Cette commande se trouve
dans langle avant infrieur droit de la radio. Pour lenclencher, activez-le
en tournant le bouton dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre. Eteignez-le
en tournant le bouton totalement dans le sens inverse des aiguilles dune
montre.

BOUTON DE SYNTONISATION continu
Les stations sont rgles laide de la saisie de la frquence directe, des

touches et du bouton Tuning, comme dcrit ci-dessous.
SAISIE DIRECTE DE LA FREQUENCE

Utilisez cette mthode si la frquence de la station de radio que vous
souhaitez est connue. Allumez le SATELLIT 750 et slectionnez la bande
de votre choix. Les frquences AM et SW sont saisies en kilohertz (kHz),
par exemple : 810 kHz ou 9475 kHz ; les frquences FM sont saisies en
mgahertz (MHz), par exemple : 102,9 MHz, en ignorant la virgule dcimale.
Utilisez le pav numrique pour saisir une frquence.

BOUTON LARGEUR DE BANDE (BW)

Utilisez la touche BANDWIDTH (largeur de bande) pour slectionner une
slectivit large ou troite, comme indiqu dans langle infrieur droit de
lcran sous la forme WIDE (large) ou NARROW (troit). Ceci peut contribuer
rduire les interfrences sur certaines frquences. Lutilisation de WIDE
amliore gnralement la fidlit audio, alors que lutilisation des limites
troites limite quelque peu la fidlit audio.
DE SYNTONISATION
Allumez le Satellit 750 et slectionnez la bande de votre choix. Des appuis

rapides, courts et squentiels sur les touches permettent daugmenter
ou de diminuer la frquence. Un appui long enclenche laccord automatique.
En mode accord automatique, la radio balaye dune station la suivante,
reste 5 secondes sur la nouvelle station, puis continue. Pour arrter laccord
automatique, appuyez sur lune des touches .
BOUTON DE SYNTONISATION
Le bouton daccord peut galement tre utilis pour accorder les stations.
Slectionnez la vitesse RAPIDE ou LENTE de laccord avec le bouton STEP,
sous le bouton daccord. Laccord RAPIDE/LENT est reprsent dans le
tableau ci-dessous pour chaque bande. Si vous souhaitez verrouiller le
bouton daccord, appuyez environ 3 secondes sur STEP. Appuyez une fois
rapidement, pour le verrouiller.

BOUTON FM ST. (FM STEREO)

Appuyez sur la touche FM ST. en mode FM pour accder ou sortir du mode
de rception stro. En mode stro, STEREO apparat sous le ct gauche
de la frquence sur lcran, ct de FM. Tant que vous nutilisez pas de
casque ni dcouteurs, vous pouvez rester en mode mono.
BOUTONS BASS ET TREBLE (GRAVES ET AIGUS)

Utilisez ces boutons pour contrler les basses et les aigus selon vos
prfrences. Tourner dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre augmente les
basses ou les aigus. Tourner dans le sens inverse des aiguilles dune montre
rduit les basses ou les aigus.

SAUVEGARDE DES FREQUENCES EN MEMOIRE

Il existe deux jeux spars de 500 mmoires, permettant une grande
flexibilit de la gestion de la mmoire. Prenez connaissance du tableau
ci-dessous.
PAGE Mmoire 0, not P0 , se compose de 500 mmoires, 100 sont
affectes aux bandes FM, SW, SSB et Air Band ; 50 sont affectes aux
bandes AM et LW.
PAGE Mmoire 1 10, notes P1 , P2 , etc., se composent de 50
mmoires par page, soient 500 mmoires au total.
Pour sauvegarder manuellement une frquence en mmoire, commencez
par choisir la page, puis lemplacement mmoire, puis enregistrez la
frquence. Dans les instructions qui suivent, remarquez que MEMORY =
PRESET (prslections). Suivez les instructions ci-dessous.
Allumez la radio et rglez une station de radio que vous souhaitez sauvegarder.
Appuyez rapidement sur la touche MEMORY (prselection clignote dans
langle droit de lcran cristaux liquides).
Appuyez rapidement sur la touche PAGE et utilisez les touches
/
pour slectionner la page de votre choix pour sauvegarder la station ;
appuyez nouveau sur PAGE pour confirmer.
Utilisez

apparaissent dans langle suprieur droit de lcran.
Pour passer dune mmoire lautre, appuyez rapidement soit sur les
touches daccord haut ou bas (

Pour balayer automatiquement les mmoires, appuyez sur lune ou lautre
des touches daccord haut/bas environ 2 secondes et remarquez que
PRESET clignote. La radio balaye les mmoires lune aprs lautre, restant
environ 5 secondes sur chaque mmoire. Pour interrompre le balayage,
appuyez rapidement sur lune des touches daccord haut ou bas.

supprimer. Pour supprimer la mmoire, appuyez environ 1 seconde sur la
touche DELETE, puis relchez-la, et appuyez nouveau.
Allumez la radio et slectionnez la bande avec laquelle vous souhaitez

appliquer la fonction ATS, soit MW/LW ou FM. Appuyez 2 secondes sur MW/
LW ou FM. Remarquez que page 0 (P0) apparat dans langle suprieur droit
avec les prslections sincrmentant au fur et mesure que la bande de
frquence est balaye et que les frquences sont sauvegardes dans la
mmoire.
EFFACEMENT DUNE PAGE MEMOIRE

Allumez la radio et slectionnez la page que vous souhaitez supprimer en
appuyant sur PAGE, remarquez que PAGE clignote dans langle suprieur
droit de lcran. Pendant que PAGE clignote, utilisez le pav numrique, le
bouton daccord ou les touches daccord haut/bas (
) pour slectionner
la page que vous souhaitez supprimer.
Appuyez et relchez la touche VM/VF pour faire apparatre PAGE et PRESET dans langle suprieur droit de lcran. Lapparition de - - au-dessus
de PRESET dans langle suprieur droit signifie que la page est dj
supprime, vous navez pas besoin de continuer.
Appuyez sur DELETE environ 3 secondes ou jusqu ce que PAGE commence clignoter et appuyez nouveau sur DELETE.
SAUVEGARDE DE MEMOIRE ATS (SAUVEGARDE

DE SYNTONISATION AUTOMATIQUE)
REGLAGE DE LHORLOGE
Lhorloge du SATELLIT 750 est au format 24 heures et peut tre rgle que
la radio soit allume ou teinte. Si la radio est teinte, lhorloge est affiche
au milieu de lcran. Si la radio est allume, lhorloge saffiche dans langle
suprieur droit de lcran.
Pour rgler lhorloge :
1. Appuyez sur la touche TIME environ une seconde ou jusqu ce que vous
voyiez les heures clignoter.
2. Pendant que les heures clignotent, tournez le bouton TUNING pour les
rgler lheure correcte, puis appuyez sur TIME et remarquez que les
minutes clignotent.
3. Pendant que les minutes clignotent, tournez le bouton TUNING pour les
rgler, puis appuyez sur TIME.
Remarquez quaprs avoir rgl les heures ou les minutes, vous pouvez
simplement laisser le nombre clignoter sans avoir appuyer sur la touche
TIME.
La radio peut sauvegarder automatiquement les frquences les plus fortes

des bandes AM, FM ou ondes courtes sur la page 0.

ALARME PAR BUZZER
Le SATELLIT 750 dispose de deux alarmes programmables indpendamment, qui sallument et steignent des heures programmes.
Appuyez sur la touche [AL.1 on/off] pour slectionner

Timer A . Lalarme est alors rgle en mode buzzer.
Pour rgler lalarme :

1. Appuyez une seconde sur la touche AL.1 ou AL.2 ou jusqu ce que
lheure de lalarme clignote dans langle suprieur droit de laffichage.
Pendant que lheure clignote, rglez lheure avec le bouton TUNING
et appuyez sur la touche AL.1 ou AL.2. Remarquez que les minutes de
lalarme clignotent.
2. Pendant que les minutes clignotent, rglez les minutes de lalarme avec le
bouton TUNING et appuyez sur la touche AL.1 ou AL.2. Remarquez que la
minuterie de mise en veille clignote dans le cadre en haut de lcran.
3. Pendant le clignotement, rglez avec le bouton TUNING le temps
pendant lequel la radio restera allume et appuyez sur le touche AL.1 ou
AL.2.
Remarque : Dans la section Timer A :
signifie que lalarme est rgle sur Radio.

signifie que lalarme est rgle sur Buzzer.
signifie que la minuterie est dsactive.
dans la section
TOUCHE LIGHT/SNOOZE
Lorsque lalarme est active, appuyez sur la touche LIGHT/SNOOZE pour
dsactiver temporairement la minuterie pour 10 minutes. Vous pouvez appuyer 3 fois sur la touche LIGHT/SNOOZE dans le dlai dfini pour lalarme,
ensuite vous pouvez arrter lalarme en appuyant nouveau sur cette
touche.
Notez quaprs avoir rgl les heures ou les minutes, vous pouvez simplement laisser le nombre clignoter sans avoir appuyer sur la touche AL.1 ou
AL.2.
Une fois que lalarme est active (par radio ou buzzer), seules les touches
POWER, SLEEP, LIGHT/SNOOZE et RESET peuvent tre actives. Appuyez
sur les touches POWER ou SLEEP pour dsactiver lalarme.
ACTIVATION/DESACTIVATION DE LALARME
Pour que lalarme vous permette dallumer la radio, elle doit tre active.
Lactivation de lalarme peut tre ralise avec le SATELLIT 750 allum ou
teint.
Pour activer lalarme, regardez le haut de lcran, sur la droite on peut voir
TIMER A et TIMER B. Appuyez rapidement sur les touches AL.1 ON/OFF ou
AL.2 ON/OFF. Si le haut-parleur est affich, vous serez rveill par le son de
la radio ; si la cloche est affiche, vous serez rveill par un son lectronique
; si rien nest affich, lalarme correspondante est dsactive.

MINUTERIE DE MISE EN VEILLE
PRISE LINE-IN (ENTREE DE LIGNE)
La minuterie de mise en veille permet au SATELLIT 750 de rester allumer

pendant une priode comprise entre 1 et 120 minutes avant de steindre.
La prise LINE-IN se trouve en bas gauche de la radio et permet au Satellit

750 daccepter le son dun autre appareil. Utilisez un cble muni dune prise
3,5 mm (1/8 pouces). Cette prise utilise une entre de niveau de ligne aux
normes de lindustrie.
Pour allumer la minuterie de mise en veille, appuyez sur la touche SLEEP en

haut droite de la radio. Remarquez que le nombre de minutes restantes
apparat lcran. Pendant que ces minutes sont affiches, appuyez sur la
touche SLEEP autant de fois que ncessaire pour faire drouler squentiellement de 1 120 minutes. Laissez laffichage sur la valeur que vous
souhaitez.
PRISES LINE OUT (SORTIE DE LIGNE)
UTILISATION DE LA TOUCHE LIGHT

Un appui rapide sur la touche LIGHT permet dilluminer environ 5 secondes
le tmoin de force du SIGNAL et lcran. Un appui long illumine ces fonctions aussi longtemps que la radio reste allume, faites alors attention si
vous fonctionnez sur les piles, qui pourraient spuiser plus rapidement.
Vous ne rencontrerez aucun problme laisser lclairage tout le temps
dcoute de la radio si le transformateur secteur est branch, lclairage
peut tre laiss en continu.
PRISE ECOUTEURS
La prise couteurs se trouve en bas gauche de la radio et est rfrence
EAR. Branchez les couteurs ou un casque en utilisant une prise stro 3,5
mm (1/8 pouces). Baissez le niveau du volume avant de les brancher.

A larrire de la radio, se trouvent les prises line-o gauche et droite,

rfrences LINE OUT. Ces prises utilisent une sortie de niveau de ligne
aux normes de lindustrie, et peuvent tre achemines vers toute entre de
niveau de ligne aux normes de lindustrie.
PRISES DES ANTENNES EXTERNES

Les prises des antennes externes sont utilises pour raccorder le SATELLIT
750 des antennes haute performance.
Sur le ct droit de la radio, se trouvent des prises BNC 50 ohms pour FM
et SW. Un cble coaxial peut tre utilis pour alimenter une antenne correctement conue. Nous vous recommandons de taper dans un moteur de
recherche Internet Antennes FM ou Antennes SW pour trouver des
antennes.
Il y a galement une prise noire et rouge, tiquete 500 ohms, conue pour
fonctionner avec une antenne SW grande impdance, 300 600 ohms,
comme une antenne long cble. Branchez un long cble, 10 35 mtres
ou 30 100 pieds, dans la prise rouge et positionnez- le au-dessus du sol,
parcourant autant de lignes droites que possible, et ne touchant aucun
autre objet mtallique. Si vous tes en intrieur, positionnez le cble aussi
proche que possible dune fentre. Branchez un cble de 10 20 mtres

COMPARTIMENT VIDE A LARRIERE DE LA RADIO
ou 30 60 pieds dans la prise noire et laissez-le parcourir le sol. Ou fixez

la prise noire une conduite deau froide avec un cble aussi court que
possible.
Utilisez le petit compartiment vide situ ct du compartiment piles

comme vous le souhaitez.
Sur lantenne AM rotative, sur le dessus de la radio se trouve une prise pour
les antennes AM 50 ou 75 ohms, brancher.
Si vous utilisez des prises externes, slectionnez EXTERNAL sur le
slecteur du ct droit de la radio. Si vous utilisez une antenne interne,
commutez-le sur ANTENNA.
REMARQUE : dbranchez toutes les antennes montes en extrieur
lorsquun orage est prvu.
REGLAGE DU CODE SYSTEME

Pour saisir des codes systmes diffrents, teignez la radio et appuyez
rapidement sur la touche ENTER. _ _ apparat dans langle suprieur
droit de lcran. Saisissez le code systme comme ci-dessous, puis appuyez
sur ENTER pour confirmer le code systme.

Muchas gracias por su adquisicin de la radio Satellit 750. Sus funciones y

caractersticas son las siguientes:

PREVENCIN DE FUGA DE BATERA

Para minimizar la posibilidad de una fuga de cido de la batera, deben
usarse exclusivamente bateras alcalinas de alta calidad, de litio o bateras
recargables de nquel-metal-hidruro. Nunca se deben mezclar bateras viejas
con nuevas o bien diferentes marcas o tipos de bateras. Un eventual dao
causado por una fuga de cido de batera no est cubierto por la garanta

CONFIGURACIN DE AM Y FM FUERA DE
NORTEAMRICA
Para usar el SATELLIT 750 en Norteamrica (EE.UU. o Canad), no se requiere ningn cambio de los ajustes iniciales por fbrica.
En Norteamrica, las estaciones AM estn separadas por10 KHz respectivamente. En Europa y otras regiones, estn separadas por 9 KHz. En Norteamrica, la banda FM comienza con 88 MHz. En otras partes del mundo,
puede empezar con 76 MHz 87 MHz. Siga estos pasos para realizar el
ajuste requerido para su rea.

El Satellit 750 recibe onda corta en todas las bandas de metro y entre todas
las bandas de metro. Una banda es un rango de frecuencia que contiene
emisoras de onda corta. Se puede acceder a todas las 14 bandas de emisin
internacionales. Las bandas estn numeradas en base a 120, 90, 75, 60,
49, 31, 25, 22, 19, 16, 15, 13 y 11 metros y son comnmente llamadas
Bandas de Metro. Las bandas con frecuencias por encima de los 13000
KHz son mejores durante el da; por debajo de los 13000 KHz resultan
mejores por la noche. Para tener acceso al principio de una banda, presione
SW varias veces. Al presionar el botn, usted ver el nmero de banda en

OPTIMIZACIN DE LA RECEPCIN DE ONDA

CORTA
La onda corta permite escuchar emisiones a travs de grandes distancias,
incluyendo otros pases y continentes. La siguiente informacin le ayudar
para obtener los mejores resultados.
Durante el da, deben usarse bandas con frecuencias superiores a 13000
KHz.
En las noches deben usarse bandas con frecuencias inferiores a 13000
KHz.
En las horas de crepsculo, deben usarse bandas con el completo rango
de onda corta.
Al acercarse a una ventana, se puede mejorar considerablemente la
calidad de la recepcin.
SINTONIZACIN DE SBB (BANDA LATERAL NICA)

La SSB permite la escucha en onda corta de comunicaciones en dos sentidos mediante el modo de banda lateral nica como es el caso de la radio
de aficin, el alfabeto Morse, las transmisiones de faxes meteorolgicos y
otras seales a menudo conocidas como a seales de utilidad. Internet y
su propia biblioteca local son grandes recursos para aprender ms. Teclee
radiofrecuencias de aficin o banda lateral en un motor de bsqueda de
Internet.
Para usar el control de SSB, encienda el SATELLIT 750 y entre en Onda
Corta. Presione el botn de SSB y observar que USB aparece en la pantalla,
a la derecha de SW. Presione el botn de SSB otra vez y observar que
LSB aparece a la derecha de SW. USB es la abreviatura de Upper Sideband
(Banda Lateral Superior); LSB es la abreviatura de Lower Sideband (Banda
Lateral Inferior). Usted tendr que usar uno de estos mtodos de sintonizar
con seales. Tambin observar que en el frente derecho inferior de la radio
aparece una ruedecilla de control etiquetada como SSB BFO. BFO significa
Beat Frequency Oscilator (Oscilador de Frecuencia Variable). Esta ruedecilla
de control se usa para una sintonizacin afinada de una seal lateral de
banda.

BOTN ATENUADOR DE ANTENA (ANT.ATT)

El botn de ANT.ATT, localizado en el frente derecho superior de la radio,
es usado para atenuar una seal. Sintonice una emisora, luego presione
el botn de ANT.ATT y observar que el indicador de fuerza de seal,
localizado en el lado izquierdo de la pantalla, cambia a tres niveles. El nivel
mximo es el de ganancia ms alta y el nivel ms bajo es el de ganancia
menor. Srvase del nivel ms bajo si la seal es muy fuerte y local. Srvase
del nivel intermedio para seales medias y use el nivel ms alto para seales
dbiles. Experimente con este control para ver cmo funciona mejor con las
seales que usted escucha y selo a su gusto.
CONTROL DE GANANCIA DE RF
En la parte derecha frontal de la radio se encuentra el botn de control de
aumento de radiofrecuencia. Es posible girarlo completamente en direccin
de las agujas del reloj en la posicin AUTO donde trabaja automticamente,
o bien es posible girarlo contra el sentido de las agujas del reloj para controlar el aumento de la radiofrecuencia). Mediante su uso manual se puede
mejorar el rechazo de la radio frente a las interferencias de frecuencias
adyacentes que pueden interferir, especialmente en onda corta. Esto
conmutador no trabaja en FM.
CONTROL DE SQUELCH
Con el control de reduccin de ruido se pueden eliminar los sonidos de
fondo. Este control se usa principalmente en la banda area. Este control se
encuentra en la derecha inferior de la parte frontal de la radio. Para habilitar
la funcin, debe girarse su botn en direccin de las agujas del reloj. Se
apaga mediante giro del botn contra el sentido de las agujas del reloj.

su eleccin. AM as como las frecuencias de SW vienen en Kilohercios (KHz),
p.ej 810 KHz o 9475 KHz.; las frecuencias de FM vienen en megahercios
(MHz), p.ej 102,9 MHz, sin hacer caso de la coma decimal. Srvase del teclado
numrico para introducir la frecuencia.
SINTONIZACIN CON BOTONES

Encienda el Satellit 750 y seleccione la frecuencia deseada. Una serie
de toques rpidos, cortos, secuenciales de los botones de permite
la sintonizacin de frecuencias hacia arriba o hacia abajo. Un toque ms
prolongado activa la Sintonizacin Automtica. En el modo de Sintonizacin Automtica, la radio efecta bsquedas de una emisora a la
siguiente, permanece en una nueva emisora durante 5 segundos y luego

Srvase del botn de BANDWITH (ANCHO DE BANDA) para optar por una
selectividad amplia o estrecha, la cual se muestra en la esquina inferior
derecha de la pantalla como WIDE (AMPLIA) O NARROW (ESTRECHA). Este
puede ayudar a reducir la interferencia en algunas frecuencias. La utilizacin
WIDE, por lo general, resulta en una mejor fidelidad de audio, mientras que al
usar NARROW, se limita un tanto la fidelidad del audio.
BOTN DE FM ST. (FM STEREO)

Pulse el botn de FM ST. cuando se encuentre en frecuencia FM para hacer
que la radio entre o salga del modo de recepcin estreo. Cuando se encuentra en modo estreo, la palabra STEREO aparece bajo la parte izquierda
de la frecuencia en la pantalla, al lado de FM. Mientras usted no use cascos
o auriculares, puede dejar su radio en modo de mono.
RUEDECILLA SINTONIZADORA
La ruedecilla sintonizadora tambin puede ser usada para sintonizar emisoras. Seleccione sintonizacin en modo FAST (RPIDO) o SLOW (LENTO) con
el botn de STEP, situado bajo de la ruedecilla sintonizadora. La sintonizacin FAST/SLOW se muestra en el cuadro de abajo para cada frecuencia.
Si usted quiere bloquear (LOCK) la ruedecilla sintonizadora, presione el

RUEDECILLAS DE GRAVES Y AGUDOS

Srvase de estas ruedecillas para controlar los graves y los agudos a su
gusto. Un giro en el sentido de las agujas del reloj aumenta los graves o
los agudos. Un giro al contrario disminuye los graves o los agudos.
ALMACENAJE DE FRECUENCIAS EN MEMORIA

Existen dos conjuntos separados de 500 memorias, permitiendo gran
flexibilidad en el almacenaje de memorias. Obsrvese el cuadro ms
abajo.
La memoria PAGE 0, registrada bajo P0, consiste en 500 memorias,
100 de ellas adjudicadas a MW FM, SW, SSB y Frecuencia Area; 50
memorias adjudicadas para FM AM y 50 para LW.
La memoria PAGE 1 10, registrada bajo P1, P2, etc., consiste en 50
memorias por pgina, 500 memorias en total.
Para almacenar manualmente una frecuencia en una memoria,
primero elija la pgina, despus la posicin de memoria y luego
almacene la frecuencia. En las instrucciones de abajo, obsrvese que
MEMORY=PRESET. Consulte las instrucciones de abajo.
Encienda la radio y sintonice la emisora que usted quiera almacenar
en la memoria.
Presione brevemente el botn de MEMORY (la predeterminada parpadear en la esquina derecha de la pantalla LCD).

ELIMINAR UNA PGINA DE MEMORIA
Encienda la radio y vaya a la pgina correcta presionando PAGE y entrando

en la misma mediante el teclado numrico.
Presione y suelte el botn de VM/VF y observar que la PAGE Y PRESET
aparecen en la esquina superior derecha de la pantalla.
Para ir de una memoria a otra, oprima un toque rpido y corto, bien sobre
el botn sintonizador de arriba o sobre el de abajo (
), o srvase de la
ruedecilla sintonizadora.
Para una bsqueda automtica de memoria, presione uno de los botones
sintonizadores de arriba o de abajo durante aproximadamente 2 segundos
y observar que PRESET parpadea. La radio busca de una memoria a otra,
permaneciendo en cada memoria durante aproximadamente 5 segundos.
Para parar la bsqueda, oprima un toque rpido y corto, bien sobre el
botn sintonizador de arriba o sobre el de abajo.
Encienda la radio y seleccione la pgina que usted quiera borrar presionando PAGE; observar que la pgina parpadea en la parte superior
derecha de la pantalla. Mientras parpadee, srvase del teclado numrico, la
ruedecilla sintonizadora, o de los botones sintonizadores de arriba o abajo

) para seleccionar la pgina que usted desee borrar.
Presione y suelte el botn de VM/VF de modo que la PAGE Y PRESET

Presione DELETE durante aproximadamente 3 segundos, o hasta que

Encienda la radio y presione el botn de VM/VF, causando que PAGE y

AJUSTE DE ALARMA continuado
El reloj de SATELLIT 750 trabaja en formato de 24 horas y puede ser ajustado con la radio apagada o activada. Cuando la radio est desactivada, el reloj
se indica en la parte central de la pantalla. Cuando la radio est activada, el
reloj se encuentra en la esquina derecha superior de la pantalla.
2. Mientras parpadea, ajuste los minutos de la alarma con la ruedecilla

deje de parpadear, sin necesidad de presionar el botn de Al-1 o Al-2.
Una vez que la alarma (de radio o de timbre) se active, slo quedarn
operativos POWER, SLEEP, LIGHT/SNOOZE y RESET. Presione los botones
de POWER o SLEEP para apagar la alarma.
Observe que despus del ajuste de la hora o de los minutos, es posible dejar
parpadeando el nmero hasta que termine de parpadear, sin pulsar el botn
TIME.
ALARMA DE TIMBRE
AJUSTE DE ALARMA
El SATELLIT 750 tiene dos temporizadores de la alarma programables
de forma independiente para encender y apagar el aparato a una hora
especificada.
Para ajustar una alarma:
1. Presione el botn de Al-1 o Al-2 durante un segundo o hasta que usted
vea la hora de alarma parpadear en la esquina superior derecha de la
pantalla. Mientras parpadea, ajuste la hora con la ruedecilla sintonizadora
y presione el botn de Al-1 o Al-2. Observar que los minutos de la
alarma parpadean.

ACTIVACIN/DESACTIVACIN DE ALARMA

la alarma, el SATELLIT 750 puede estar encendido o apagado.
Para activar la alarma, mire en lo alto de la pantalla, a la derecha de la cual se
lee TIMER A y TIMER B. Oprima toques rpidos y cortos sobre los botones
de AL.1 ON/OFF o AL.2 ON/OFF. Cuando entra en escena el altavoz, ste
le despierta reproduciendo radio; cuando es el turno de la campana, sta le
despierta con un timbre electrnico; cuando no hay nada, la alarma queda
desactivada.
TEMPORIZADOR DE SUEO
El temporizador permite que la radio SATELLIT 750 pueda trabajar durante
un perodo de 1 a 120 minutos, para apagarse luego automticamente.
Para encender el temporizador de sueo, presione el botn de SLEEP en el

frente superior derecho de la radio. Observar que el nmero de minutos a
reproducir se muestra en pantalla. Mientras se muestren, presione el botn
de SLEEP varias veces, y se encargar de avanzar en secuencia de 1 a 120

usa una entrada de nivel de lnea de acuerdo a los estndares de la industria.

ENCHUFES DE ANTENA EXTERNA continuado
En la parte posterior de la radio se encuentran enchufes de salida izquierda

y derecha, rotuladas con LINE OUT. Estos enchufes corresponden al nivel
de lnea de salida estndar industrial y se pueden direccionar a cualquier
entrada de lnea estndar industrial.
Sobre la antena giratoria de AM, a lo alto de la radio, se encuentra un

enchufe de antenas de AM de 50 o 75 ohmios. Al usar enchufes externos,
seleccione EXTERNAL mediante el interruptor selector del lado derecho de
la radio. Al usar antenas de radio internas, cmbielo a la ANTENNA.
ENCHUFES DE ANTENA EXTERNA
AVISO: desenchufe siempre todas las antenas que estn montadas en el

exterior cuando se avecine una tormenta elctrica.
Los enchufes de antena externa son usados para conectar el SATELLIT 750
con antenas de desarrollo avanzado.
En el lado derecho de la radio, se encuentran los enchufes de BNC de 50
ohmios para FM y Onda Corta. Se puede usar un cable coaxial de 50 75
ohmios para alimentar a la antena correctamente diseada. Para encontrar
antenas, recomendamos que usted realice una bsqueda en internet
tecleando antenas FM o antenas de onda corta en un motor de bsqueda
de internet.
Existe tambin un enchufe negro y rojo, capacitado para 500 ohmios,
diseado para funcionar con una antena de Onda Corta de alta impedancia,
de 300 a 600 ohmios, como una antena de alambre larga. Enchufe un
pedazo largo de alambre, de 10 a 35 metros o de 30 a 100 pies de largo,
en el enchufe rojo y colquelo sobre el suelo, extendido en una lnea tan
recta como sea posible, sin tocar ningn otro objeto metlico. Si usted hace
esto en interior, coloque el alambre tan cerca de una ventana como sea
posible. Enchufe un alambre de 10 a 20 metros o de 30 a 60 pies en el
enchufe negro y djelo extendido sobre el suelo o la tierra. O bien conecte
el enchufe negro a una caera fra con un pedazo de alambre tan corto

BOTN RESET
El botn de reset est localizado a la izquierda bajo la ruedecilla sintonizadora. Cuando la unidad est estropeada o de sntomas de dejar de funcionar
correctamente, presione el Botn de Reset para reanudar la unidad. Las
memorias almacenadas y los ajustes de la alarma no sern eliminados.
Despus de presionarlo, el espaciado de emisoras en AM tendr que ser
configurado otra vez para Norteamrica

Vielen Dank fr den Kauf eines unserer Produkte. Das Satellit 750 bietet
Ihnen folgende technische Daten:
Das SATELLIT 750 kann mit 4 Alkali-Batterien, Lithium- oder NiMH-Akkus

vom Typ D bzw. mit dem beigefgten Netzteil am Stromnetz betrieben

EINSTELLEN VON UKW- UND MW-SENDERN

AUSSERHALB VON NORDAMERIKA
Die Grundeinstellungen des SATELLIT 750 ab Werk sind fr Nordamerika
(USA oder Kanada) bestimmt. In diesen Lndern sind keine nderungen zu
den Grundeinstellungen erforderlich.
MW-Sender in Nordamerika sind in Frequenzen mit einem Abstand von
10 kHz unterteilt. In Europa und anderen Lndern liegt dieser Abstand bei
9 kHz. In Nordamerika beginnt der UKW-Bereich bei 88 MHz. In anderen
Lndern beginnt der UKW-Bereich beispielsweise bei 87 MHz oder 76
MHz. Zum Anpassen der Grundeinstellungen zur Verwendung auerhalb
Nordamerikas folgende Schritte ausfhren:
Das Gert ausschalten. Die ENTER-Taste drcken. Rechts oben in der
Ecke des Displays wird -- angezeigt. Solang -- angezeigt wird, ber die
Zifferntasten den entsprechenden Frequenzabstand 09 oder 10 eingeben.
ENTER drcken. Die Sequenz erneut durchfhren und fr den Beginn des
UKW-Bereichs 88, 87 oder 76 eingeben. ENTER drcken.
EIN- UND AUSSCHALTEN DES RADIOS

Zum Ein- und Ausschalten die POWER-Taste drcken.
LAUTSTRKEREGELUNG
AUSWAHL ZWISCHEN UKW, MW, KW UND FLUGFUNK

Das Gert verfgt ber folgende Empfangsbereiche: UKW (88-108 MHz),
MW (520-1.710 kHz), LW (100-519 kHz), KW (1.711-29.999 kHz) und
Flugfunk (118-137 MHz).
Radio einschalten. Fr den Empfang von UKW die FM-Taste drcken, fr
MW und LW die Taste MW/LW (ggf. zweimal) drcken, fr KW die Taste SW
mehrfach drcken, bis das gewnschte Band eingestellt ist (Ziffer blinkt
oben rechts in der Anzeige) und fr Flugfunk die Taste AIR drcken.
Hinweis: Fr den Empfang von KW, UKW und Flugfunk die Teleskopantenne vollstndig herausziehen. Die oben auf dem Gert angebrachte
schwenkbare MW-Antenne fr optimalen MW-Empfang ausrichten.

TIPPS FR DEN KURZWELLENEMPFANG
ANTENNENSIGNAL-DMPFUNG (TASTE ANT.ATT)
ber Kurzwelle lassen sich Programme von Sendern aus fremden Lndern
und Kontinenten empfangen. Allgemeine Tipps:
Tagsber lassen sich Frequenzen ber 13.000 kHz besser empfangen.
Nachts lassen sich Frequenzen unten 13.000 kHz besser empfangen.
In der Dmmerung vor und nach Sonnenauf- bzw. -untergang ist der
Empfang in allen KW-Bereichen besonders gut.
Der Empfang kann in der Nhe eines Fensters wesentlich strker sein.
Die Taste ANT.ATT an der Vorderseite des Gerts oben rechts dient zur
Signaldmpfung. Stellen Sie einen Sender ein und drcken dann die ANT.
ATT-Taste. Die Anzeige der Signalstrke links in der Anzeige wechselt
zwischen drei Stufen. Die hchste Stufe steht fr die grte Verstrkung,
die niedrigste entsprechend fr die kleinste. Die niedrigste Stufe eignet sich
fr sehr stark einfallende Sender (z. B. Lokalsender). Fr schwache Signale
eine hhere Stufe whlen. Probieren Sie verschiedene Stufen und whlen
Sie dann das fr Ihr Empfinden angenehmste Ergebnis.
EINSTELLEN VON SSB-EMPFANG

SSB ermglicht die KW-Gegensprechfunktion unter Nutzung des Einseitenbandmodus wie beim Amateurfunk, Morsekode, Wetterfax usw. Weitere
Informationen hierzu finden Sie im Internet oder in Ihrer rtlichen Bibliothek.
Geben Sie unter einer Suchmaschine Begriffe wie Amateurfunk oder
Einseitenband ein.
Zur Verwendung des SSB-Reglers, Gert einschalten und auf KW einstellen. Die SSB-Taste drcken. Rechts neben SW wird USB angezeigt. Die
SSB-Taste erneut drcken. Rechts neben SW wird LSB angezeigt. USB ist
die Abkrzung fr Upper Sideband (oberes Seitenband) und bezeichnet
das Frequenzband oberhalb der Trgerfrequenz, whrend LSB fr Lower
Sideband (unteres Seitenband) steht. Zum Empfang mssen Sie eines der
Seitenbnder einstellen. Zur Feinabstimmung eines Seitenbandsignal dient
der Knopf SSB BFO rechts unten an der Vorderseite des Gerts. BFO steht
fr Beat Frequency Oscillator (berlagerungsoszillator).

HF-VERSTRKUNGSREGLER
An der Vorderseite rechts befindet sich der HF-Verstrkungsregler (RF
Gain). Durch Linksdrehen des Knopfes bis zum Anschlag wird die Position
AUTO eingestellt. Das Gert regelt den Empfang nun automatisch. Durch
Rechtsdrehen kann die Verstrkung der Hochfrequenz (Radio Frequency)
manuell geregelt werden und so Interferenzen von benachbarten Frequenzen unterdrckt werden. Dies ist besonders bei KW-Empfang ntzlich. Bei
UKW-Empfang besitzt der Regler keine Funktion.
RAUSCHSPERRE
Mit der Rauschsperre (Squelch) knnen Hintergrundgerusche gedmpft
werden. Der Regler wird vorwiegend fr Flugfunk verwendet. Der Regler
befindet sich an der Vorderseite unten rechts. Zur Aktivierung den Regler
im Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Zum Ausschalten bis zum Einrasten nach links
drehen.

EINSTELLEN VON SENDERN
ABSTIMMKNOPF
Zum Einstellen von Sendern knnen die Tasten oder der Abstimmknopf verwendet bzw. die Frequenz direkt eingegeben werden.
Mit dem Abstimmknopf knnen ebenfalls Sender eingestellt werden. Mit

der STEP-Taste unter dem Abstimmknopf lsst sich zwischen Fein- und
Grobeinstellung whlen (SLOW/FAST). Die Unterschiede zwischen den
beiden Einstellungen unterteilt nach Bndern werden in der Tabelle unten
dargestellt. Zum Sperren des Abstimmknopfes die STEP-Taste ca. 3 Sekunden gedrckt halten. Durch kurzes Drcken wird der Abstimmknopf wieder
entriegelt.
DIREKTE FREQUENZEINGABE
Wenn die Sendefrequenz eines Radiosenders bekannt ist, kann diese
direkt eingegeben werden. Das Gert einschalten und den gewnschten
Empfangsbereich einstellen (z. B. UKW). Mittel- und Kurzwellenfrequenzen
werden in Kilohertz (kHz) eingegeben (z. B. 810 kHz, 162 kHz oder 9475
kHz), whrend UKW und Flugfunk in Megahertz (MHz) ohne Dezimalkomma
eingeben werden (z. B. 102,9 MHz oder 124,870 MHz). Den Frequenzwert
ber die Zifferntasten eingeben.

Das Gert einschalten und den gewnschten Empfangsbereich einstellen
(z. B. UKW). Durch kurzes wiederholtes Drcken der Tasten wird der Frequenzbereich nach oben bzw. unten eingestellt. Durch Gedrckthalten wird
die automatische Sendersuche aktiviert. Beim automatischen Suchlauf wird
ein neu gefundener Sender fr ca. 5 Sekunden wiedergegeben. Danach
sucht das Gert nach dem nchstverfgbaren Sender. Um den automatischen Suchlauf zu beenden eine der -Tasten drcken.
Mit dem 2-stufigen Bandbreitenschalter knnen Interferenzen auf einigen

Frequenzen reduziert werden. Die jeweilige Einstellung (WIDE oder NARROW) wird unten rechts in der Ecke des Displays angezeigt. Mit der breiten
Einstellung (WIDE) ist die Tonwiedergabe normalerweise besser, whrend
die schmale Einstellung (NARROW) diese etwas einschrnkt.
UKW-STEREO-TASTE (FM ST. / FM STEREO)

Stereomodus ist bei der Verwendung von Kopf-/Ohrhrern wichtig. Bei
normaler Wiedergabe ber Lautsprecher kann auch der Modus Mono
verwendet werden.

ABSPEICHERN VON SENDERN (fahren sie fort)
Mit diesen Reglern knnen Sie die Wiedergabe von Hhen und Bssen ganz
nach Ihrem Klangempfinden einstellen. Durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn wird
die Strke jeweils erhht. Durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn wird die
Strke jeweils verringert.
Um einen Sender automatisch auf dem nchsten, freien Speicherplatz unter

der ausgewhlten Seite zu speichern, M drcken. Hinweis: RESET blinkt,
es wird die Ziffer des nchsten freien Speicherplatzes angezeigt. Durch
Drcken von M wird der Sender automatisch auf dem nchsten, freien
Speicherplatz abgelegt bzw. wenn das Blinken endet, wird der Sender auf
dem Platz gespeichert, der geblinkt hat.

Zum manuellen Abspeichern eines Sender zuerst die Seite whlen, dann
den Speicherort und anschlieend die Frequenz speichern. Fr die folgenden Anweisungen gilt: MEMORY=PRESET.

Das Radio einschalten und den gewnschten Radiosender einstellen.

MEMORY-Taste antippen (die Preset leuchtet rechts auf der LCD Anzeige).
PAGE-Taste antippen und mit den / -Tasten die Seite anwhlen,
unter welcher der Sender abgespeichert werden soll. Zur Besttigung
erneut PAGE drcken.
Solange der Speicherort blinkt, mit den / -Tasten den gewnschten
Speicherort whlen.
Zur Besttigung die MEMORY-Taste drcken. Ohne Eingabe wird die
Auswahl nach 3 Sekunden automatisch besttigt.
Das Radio einschalten. PAGE drcken und die gewnschte Ziffer der Seite
ber den Ziffernblock eingeben.
Die VM/VF-Taste drcken. In der Ecke oben rechts im Display wird PAGE
und PRESET angezeigt.
Um sich innerhalb der Speicherpltze zu bewegen die Hoch- oder Runtertaste (
) kurz drcken oder den Abstimmknopf verwenden.
Um den Speicher automatisch abzusuchen, die Hoch- oder Runtertaste ca.
2 Sekunden gedrckt halten, bis PRESET blinkt. Das Radio wechselt nun
von einem gespeicherten Sender zum anderen, wobei ein Sender fr ca.
5 Sekunden eingestellt bleibt. Um den Suchlauf abzubrechen, die Hochoder Runtertaste kurz antippen.

UHR(ZEIT)EINSTELLUNG
Das Radio einschalten und die VM/VF-Taste drcken, bis in der Ecke oben

Den zu lschenden Speicherplatz ber die Hoch-/Runtertaste (

Zum Lschen die DELETE-Taste ca. 1 Sekunde gedrckt halten, loslassen
und erneut drcken.
Die Uhrzeit wird im 24-Stundenformat angezeigt und kann bei ein- oder
ausgeschaltetem Gert eingestellt werden. Bei ausgeschaltetem Radio wird
die Uhrzeit in der Mitte des Displays angezeigt. Bei eingeschaltetem Radio
wird die Uhrzeit oben rechts in der Ecke des Displays angezeigt.

Uhrzeit einstellen:
1. TIME-Taste 1 Sekunde gedrckt halten, bis die Stundenanzeige blinkt.
2. Whrend diese blinkt, mit dem Abstimmknopf die richtige Uhrzeit (Stunden) einstellen. Erneut die TIME-Taste drcken, bis die Minutenanzeige
blinkt.
3. Whrend diese blinkt, mit dem Abstimmknopf die richtige Uhrzeit (Minuten) einstellen. Erneut die TIME-Taste drcken.
Nach Einstellen der jeweils richtigen Stunden- und Minutenangaben
werden diese auch ohne Drcken der TIME-Taste nach einer gewissen Zeit
automatisch bernommen.
EINSTELLEN DER WECKZEIT

Das SATELLIT 750 verfgt ber zwei individuell programmierbare Ein-/
Ausschalttimer zum Wecken.
ATS (AUTO TUNING STORAGE): AUTOMATISCHE

SENDERSPEICHERUNG
Hierber lassen sich automatisch die strksten UKW-, MW- und LW-Sender
auf Seite 0 (P0) speichern.
Das Radio einschalten und den Frequenzbereich whlen, auf dem ATS
durchgefhrt werden soll (MW/LW oder UKW(FM)). MW/LW oder FM fr ca.
2 Sekunden gedrckt halten. In der Ecke oben rechts erscheint Seite 0 (P0).
Die Presets rechts daneben steigen an, wenn das Band abgesucht wird und
Sender abgespeichert werden.

Weckzeit einstellen:
1. AL.1- oder AL.2-Taste ca. 1 Sekunde lang gedrckt halten, bis die Weckzeit (Stunden) oben recht im Display blinkt. Whrend die Stundenanzeige
fr die Weckzeit blinkt mit dem Abstimmknopf die gewnschte Weckzeit
(Stunden) einstellen und anschlieend die AL.1- oder AL.2-Taste drcken.
Jetzt blinkt die Minutenanzeige fr die Weckzeit.
2. Whrend die Minutenanzeige blinkt, mit dem Abstimmknopf die gewnschte Weckzeit (Minuten) einstellen und anschlieend die AL.1- oder
AL.2-Taste drcken. Die Abschaltautomatik blinkt nun in einem Kstchen
oben im Display.

3. Whrend diese blinkt, mit dem Abstimmknopf die Zeit einstellen, nach
der das Get sich abschaltet und anschlieend die AL.1- oder AL.2-Taste
drcken.
Nach Einstellen der jeweils richtigen Stunden- und Minutenangaben
werden diese auch ohne Drcken der AL.1- oder AL.2-Taste nach einer
gewissen Zeit automatisch bernommen.
Sobald der Wecker einschaltet (durch Radio oder Summton), lassen sich
nur noch die folgenden Tasten bettigen: POWER, SLEEP, LIGHT/SNOOZE
und RESET. Durch Drcken der POWER- oder SLEEP-Taste wird der Alarm
ausgeschaltet.
AKTIVIERUNG UND DEAKTIVIERUNG DER WECKFUNKTION

Die Weckfunktion muss zuerst aktiviert werden. Dies kann bei ein- oder
ausgeschaltetem Gert erfolgen.
Ob und welcher Weckmodus aktiviert ist, sehen Sie oben in der Anzeige
rechts neben TIMER A und TIMER B. Die AL.1 ON/OFF- oder AL.2 ON/
OFF-Tasten kurz antippen. Wird der Lautsprecher angezeigt, ist Wecken mit
Radio aktiviert; bei Anzeige der Glocke erfolgt das Wecken ber Summton;
wird nichts angezeigt, ist die Weckfunktion deaktiviert.
SCHLAFFUNKTION
WECKEN MIT SUMMTON
[AL.1 on/off]-Taste drcken, um unter Abschnitt Timer A auszuwhlen.
Das Wecken mit Summton ist nun aktviert.
Hinweis: Zeichenerklrung unter Abschnitt Timer A:

ber die Abschaltautomatik lsst sich das Gert nach einer bestimmten Zeit
(1 120 Minuten) automatisch ausschalten.
Zum Aktivieren der Abschaltautomatik die SLEEP-Taste oben rechts an

der Vorderseite des Gerts drcken. Im Display werden die Minuten der
Abschaltautomatik angezeigt. Solange diese angezeigt werden, die SLEEPTaste mehrfach drcken, bis die gewnschte Minutenzahl erreicht ist. Nach
dieser Anzahl der Minuten schaltet das Gert automatisch ab.
LICHT UND SCHLUMMERFUNKTION (LIGHT/

SNOOZE)
Durch Drcken der Taste LIGHT/SNOOZE beim Wecken wird der Alarm fr
10 Minuten unterbrochen. Whrend eines Weckvorgangs kann die LIGHT/
SNOOZE-Taste dreimal zum Unterbrechen des Weckens genutzt werden.
Erneutes Drcken der Taste deaktiviert dann das Wecken.

Durch kurzes Drcken der LIGHT-Taste werden das Display und die Anzeige
der Signalstrke fr ca. 5 Sekunden beleuchtet. Durch langes Drcken dieser Taste bleibt die Beleuchtung so lange an, wie das Gert eingeschaltet
ist. Bei Betrieb ber Netzteil ist dies eine ntzliche Funktion. Bei Betrieb
ber Batterien ist jedoch zu bedenken, das Licht kann an ununterbrochen
gelassen werden.

KOPFHRERANSCHLUSS
Ferner verfgt das Gert ber einen schwarzen und roten Steckplatz mit
der Bezeichnung 500 Ohm und 300-600 Ohm zum Anschluss von hochohmigen Kurzwellenantennen und Langdrahtantennen. Schlieen Sie einen
10-35 m langen Draht an den roten Steckplatz an und richten ihn mglichst
gerade in Richtung Boden aus, ohne das er Metallgegenstnde berhrt.
Im Innenbereich sollte der Draht mglichst nah am Fenster verlaufen.
Schlieen Sie einen 10-20 m langen Draht an den schwarzen Steckplatz
an und fhren ihn ber den Boden. Alternativ knnen Sie den schwarzen
Steckplatz ber einen mglichst kurzen Draht mit einem Kaltwasserrohr
verbinden.
Der Kopfhreranschluss befindet sich unten links an der Vorderseite des

Gerts und ist mit EAR bezeichnet. Kopf-/Ohrhrer mit 3,5-mm-Stereoanschluss verwenden. Vor dem Anschlieen der Kopfhrer die Lautstrke
komplett nach unten regulieren.
LINE-IN-BUCHSE
Die LINE-IN-Buchse befindet sich unten links an der Vorderseite des Gerts.
Hierber lassen sich externe Audiogerte anschlieen. Ein Kabel mit
3,5-mm-Stereoanschluss verwenden. Die Buchse verwendet einen LinePegel-Eingang mit Industriestandard.
STECKPLTZE LINE OUT
An der rechten Seite des Radios befindet sich eine BNC-Buchse (50 Ohm)
zum Anschluss einer UKW- und Kurzwellenantenne. Zum Anschluss dieser
Spezialantenne kann ein 50- oder 75-Ohm-Koaxialkabel verwendet werden.
Um eine passende Antenne zu finden, empfehlen wir eine Online-Suche.
Geben Sie dazu UKW-Antennen oder Kurzwellenantennen als Suchbegriff ein.
Auf der drehbaren MW-Antenne oben auf dem Gert befindet sich eine Buchse fr einen 50- oder 75-Ohm-Stecker zum Anschluss fr MW-Antennen.
Den Wahlschalter an der rechten Seite des Gerts auf EXTERNAL stellen,
wenn externe Buchsen verwendet werden. Bei der Verwendung der
internen Antennen des Radios den Schalter auf ANTENNA stellen.
Hinweis: Bei Gewitter und Gewitterwarnung stets alle Auenantennen
vom Gert trennen.
Auf der Rckseite des Gert befinden sich die Steckpltze Line out rechts
und links. Die Anschlsse entsprechen einem Line-Pegel-Ausgang mit Industriestandard und knnen mit einem gleichwertigen Line-Pegel-Eingang
verbunden werden.

SYSTEMCODE EINSTELLEN
Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) ist digitaler Rundfunk auf Kurwelle. Zur
Demodulation ist eine Software erforderlich, die auf dem Rechner installiert
werden muss und die die Zwischenfrequenz (IF) auf ca. 12 kHz heruntermischt. Die erforderliche Software finden Sie im Internet. Nach der Installation sollten Sie die Anleitung lesen. ber den DRM-Ausgang lsst sich DRM
nun ber den Rechnern wiedergeben. Dazu diesen Ausgang (12K IF OUT/
DRM READY) auf der Rckseite des Gerts mit dem Eingang der Soundkarte

verranno indicate di seguito:
Alimentate la vostra SATELLIT 750 installando batterie alcaline 4 D o batterie Ni-MH o collegando lapparecchio direttamente con ladattatore 6 VDC
AC. Ladattatore pu essere inserito nellapposita presa DC da 6 Volt sulla
parte sinistra della radio. Licona di una batteria apparir nella parte inferiore

Nel Nord America, le stazioni AM sono localizzate sui 10 KHz. In Europa e

in altre aree sono, invece, localizzate intorno ai 9 KHz. Nel Nord America, la
banda FM comincia a 88 MHz. In altre parti del mondo, pu cominciare a 76
MHz o 87 MHz. Seguite la seguente procedura per impostare la radio per la
vostra zona:

Prima di effettuare le modifiche, assicuratevi che la vostra SATELLIT 750

sia spenta. Premete il tasto ENTER e il simbolo - - comincer a lampeggiare
nellangolo destro superiore del display. Quando il simbolo -- appare, digitate
sulla tastiera numerica 09 o 10 e premete nuovamente il tasto ENTER.
Ripetere questa procedura, premete i tasti 88, 87 o 76 e quindi premete
ENTER.

Dopo aver acceso la SATELLIT 750, ruotate la manopola VOLUME, che si

trova nella parte inferiore sinistra, in senso orario per aumentare il volume
ed in senso antiorario per diminuirlo.

La radio Satellit 750 riceve le stazioni in FM sui 88-108 MHz, AM sui 5201710 KHz, Onde Lunghe sui 100-519 KHz, Onde Corte sui 1711-29999
KHz e Aircraft sui 118 -137 MHz.
Accendete la Satellit 750. Selezionate FM semplicemente premendo il tasto
FM, MW(AM) e Onde Lunghe premendo il tasto MW/LW (premere due volte
consecutivamente, se necessario), Onde Corte premendo il tasto SW in

OTTIMIZZARE LA RICEZIONE DELLE ONDE CORTE
TASTO ANTENNA ATTENUATOR (ANT.ATT)
Le onde corte vi permetteranno di ascoltare emittenti che si trovano a

grosse distanze, addirittura in altri paesi o continenti. Le seguenti informazioni vi permetteranno di ottenere migliori risultati.
Durante il giorno, utilizzate le bande con frequenze superiori ai 13000 KHz.
Di notte utilizzate bande con frequenze superiori ai 13000KHz.
Al tramonto e allalba, la ricezione dellintero spettro delle bande in onde
corte in genere buona.
Avvicinatevi il pi possibile ad una finestra per migliorare la ricezione delle
stazioni in onde brevi.
Il tasto ANT.ATT, che si trova nella parte anteriore della radio, in alto sulla
destra, viene utilizzato per attenuare il segnale. Sintonizzate una stazione e
quindi premete il tasto ANT.ATT. Notate a questo punto che lindicatore della
forza del segnale, che si trova nella parte sinistra del display, si modifica
a tre livelli. Il livello massimo il guadagno massimo e il livello pi basso
il guadagno minimo. Utilizzate il livello pi basso se il segnale estremamente forte e locale. Utilizzate il livello intermedio per segnali medi e il
livello pi alto per segnali deboli. Prendete confidenza con questo comando
per conoscerne lesatto funzionamento e sintonizzare al meglio i vostri
segnali preferiti.
SINTONIZZAZIONE DELLA SINGLE SIDE BAND (SSB)
TELECOMANDO RF
SSB vi permette di ascoltare e ricevere comunicazioni in onde corte utilizzando la modalit single sideband come ad esempio radio per amatori, codice Morse, trasmissione di fax meteorologici o altri segnali comunemente
conosciuti come segnali di utilit. Internet e la vostra libreria di fiducia sono
delle risorse inesauribili per approfondire questo argomento. Inserire nel
campo di ricerca del vostro motore di ricerca preferito frequenze radio per
amatori o sideband.
La manopola di comando RF si trova nella parte anteriore della radio sulla

destra. Potete decidere di lasciarla girata completamente in posizione AUTO
antioraria, nel qual caso funzioner automaticamente o potete ruotarla in
senso orario per controllare la RF (frequenza radio). Utilizzando il comando
manualmente, potete eliminare le interferenze da frequenze adiacenti,
specialmente sulle Onde corte. Il comando non funziona in FM.
Per utilizzare il comando SSB, accendere la radio SATELLIT 750 e sintonizzatevi nelle Onde Corte. Premete il tasto SSB e licona USB apparir sul display,
sulla destra dellicona SW. Premete nuovamente il tasto SSB e licona LSB
apparir sulla destra dellicona SW. USB sta per Upper Sideband, mentre LSB
sta per Lower Sideband. necessario scegliere una di queste metodiche per
sintonizzare il segnale. Notate inoltre che nella parte anteriore della radio,
in basso sulla destra, presente una manopola di controllo contrassegnato
SSB BFO. BFO sta per Beat Frequency Oscillator. Questa manopola di
controllo utilizzata per sintonizzare un segnale di sideband.

CONTROLLO DEL SILENZIATORE

Il comando del silenziatore vi permetter di eliminare i rumori di sottofondo.
Questo comando utilizzata normalmente nella banda Aircraft. Si trova
nella parte anteriore, in basso sulla destra, della radio. Per utilizzarlo, girate la
manopola in senso orario. Per spegnerlo, girate la manopola completamente
in senso antiorario.

SINTONIZZARE LE STAZIONI
MANOPOLA DI SINTONIZZAZIONE
Le stazioni possono essere sintonizzate utilizzando la funzione Direct

Frequency Entry, i Tasti e la manopola di sintonizzazione.
La manopola di sintonizzazione pu essere utilizzata per sintonizzare le

stazioni. Selezionate le modalit di sintonizzazione FAST o SLOW con il
tasto STEP, che si trova sotto la manopola di sintonizzazione. Le modalit
di sintonizzazione FAST/SLOW sono mostrate nella tabella sottostante
per ciascuna banda. Se desiderate bloccare la manopola di sintonizzazione,
premete il tasto STEP per circa 3 secondi. Premete in maniera breve e veloce
per sbloccarla nuovamente.
INSERIMENTO DIRETTO DELLA FREQUENZA DESIDERATA

Utilizzare questo metodo se si conosce la frequenza della stazione radio
prescelta. Accendete la vostra SATELLIT 750 e selezionate la banda che
desiderate. Le frequenze in AM e SW sono espresse in Kilohertz (KHz), per
esempio 810 KHz o 9475 KHz; le frequenze in FM sono espresse in Megahertz (MHz), per esempio 102.9 MHz, ignorando il punto decimale. Utilizzate
i tasti della tastiera numerica per inserire la frequenza.

TASTO PER LA SINTONIZZAZIONE
Accendete la vostra SATELLIT 750 e selezionate la banda che desiderate. Pressioni veloci, brevi e sequenziali dei tasti vi permetteranno di
selezionare la frequenza in maniera crescente o decrescente. Una pressione
prolungata attiver la funzione di Auto Tuning. In modalit Auto Tuning
la radio passer automaticamente da una stazione allaltra, rimanendo su
una stazione circa 5 sec. e poi passando alla successiva. Per arrestare la
funzione di Auto Tuning, premere uno dei tasti .
Utilizzate il tasto BANDWIDTH per scegliere il tipo di selezione, ampia o

stretta. Licona appare nella parte inferiore destra del display come WIDE
o NARROW. Questa funzione aiuta a ridurre le interferenze su alcune
frequenze. La funzione WIDE, in genere, aiuta ad ottenere unalta fedelt
dellaudio, mentre la scelta della funzione NARROW riduce la fedelt
dellaudio.
TASTO FM ST. (FM STEREO)

Premere il tasto FM ST. quando si desidera attivare la modalit di ricezione
stereo, mentre si sintonizzati sulle bande in FM. Quando si in modalit
stereo, licona STEREO apparir sotto la frequenza sulla sinistra nel display,
accanto allicona FM. Se non state utilizzando cuffie o auricolari, si pu
rimanere in modalit mono.

MEMORIZZARE LE FREQUENZE NELLA MEMORIA

(Continui)
Utilizzate queste manopole per controllare i bassi e le audiofrequenze elevate a vostro piacimento. Girando la manopola in senso orario, aumenterete
i bassi o le audiofrequenze elevate. Girando la manopola in senso antiorario,
diminuirete i bassi o le audiofrequenze elevate.
Per salvare automaticamente una frequenza nello spazio di memoria seguente disponibile sulla pagina che avete selezionato, premere e poi rilasciare
il tasto M. Notare che a questo punto licona PRESET comincer a lampeggiare indicando il numero seguente di memoria disponibile. Premere il tasto
M per salvare automaticamente la frequenza nello spazio di memoria seguente disponibile e quando smetter di lampeggiare, la frequenza prescelta
sar salvata nello spazio di memoria che stava lampeggiando.

MEMORIZZARE LE FREQUENZE NELLA MEMORIA

Ci sono due gruppi sperati di 500 spazi di memoria che vi permetteranno di
aver maggiore flessibilit di memoria. Osservate la tabella sottostante.
Pagina di memoria PAGE 0, indicata come P0, consiste di 500 spazi di
memoria, 100 assegnati rispettivamente per FW, SW, SSB e Air Band; e 50
memorie rispettivamente per AM e LW.
Pagina di memoria PAGE 1 10, indicata come P1, P2, etc., consiste di
50spazi di memoria per pagina, 500 memorie in totale.
Per salvare manualmente una frequenza in una memoria, scegliere prima
di tutto la pagina, quindi la posizione nella memoria e a questo punto
potete salvare la frequenza. Nelle seguenti istruzioni, si prega di notare
che MEMORY (memoria) = PRESET (preimpostazioni). Seguire le istruzioni
sottostanti.
Accendete la radio e sintonizzatela sulla stazione che desiderate salvare
nella memoria.
Premete brevemente il tasto MEMORY (la Il tasto PRESET, preselezione
lampeggia nellangolo destro dello schermo LCD).
Premete brevemente il tasto PAGE e utilizzate i tasti
/ per selezionare la pagina nella quale volete salvare la stazione; premete a questo
punto nuovamente il tasto PAGE per confermare la vostra scelta.
Utilizzati i tasti
/ per selezionare la posizione di memoria mentre
sta lampeggiando.
Premere il tasto MEMORY per confermare la vostra scelta (o verr confermata automaticamente dopo 3 secondi).

Accendete la radio e passate alla pagina corretta, premendo il tasto PAGE
e inserendo il numero corrispondente con la tastiera numerica.
Premete e rilasciate il tasto VM/VF e notate che le icone PAGE e PRESET
compariranno nellangolo superiore destro del display.
Per passare da una memoria allaltra, premete in modo veloce i tasti su e
gi (
) o utilizzate la manopola di sintonizzazione.

ASCOLTO DELLE FREQUENZE SALVATE (Continui)

Per la memoria di Auto-Scan, premete uno dei tasti di sintonizzazione, su o
gi, per circa 2 secondi e notate che licona PRESET comincer a lampeggiare. La radio comincer a passare da una memoria allaltra, rimanendo su
ogni memoria per circa 5 secondi. Per arrestare lopzione di scan, premete
in maniera veloce il tasto di sintonizzazione su e gi.
CANCELLARE UNA MEMORIA

Accendete la radio e premete il tasto VM/VF. A questo punto le icone
PAGE e PRESET appariranno nellangolo destro superiore del display.
Utilizzate la tastiera numerica, la manopola di sintonizzazione o i tasti di
sintonizzazione su/gi (
) per selezionare la memoria che desiderate
cancellare. Per cancellare la memoria, premere il tasto DELETE per circa 1
secondo, quindi rilasciare e premere nuovamente.
CANCELLARE UNA PAGINA DI MEMORIA

Accendete la radio e selezionate la pagina che desiderate cancellare,
premendo il tasto PAGE. Notate che a questo punto licona comincer
a lampeggiare nellangolo destro superiore del display. Mentre licona
lampeggia, utilizzate la tastiera numerica, la manopola di sintonizzazione
o i tasti di sintonizzazione su/gi (
) per selezionare la memoria che
desiderate cancellare.
Premete e rilasciate il tasto VM/VF e notate che le icone PAGE e PRESET
compariranno nellangolo superiore destro del display. Se licona - - appare
sopra licona PRESET nellangolo superiore destro del display, la pagina
gi stata cancellata e non dovete proseguire.
Premere DELETE per circa 3 secondi o fino a quando licona PAGE comincer a lampeggiare e premete nuovamente il tasto DELETE.

SALVATAGGIO DI MEMORIA ATS (AUTO TUNING

STORAGE)
possibile salvare automaticamente le stazioni pi forti in LW, AM o FM
nella Pagina 0.
Accendete la radio e selezionate la banda nella quale desiderate che il
sistema ATS operi, MW/LW o FM. Premete il tasto MW/LW o FM per 2 secondi. Notate che a questo punto licona indicante la pagina 0 (P0) apparir
nellangolo superiore destro del display assieme alle altre impostazioni e aumenter di grado non appena una banda stata sintonizzata e le frequenze
sono salvate nella memoria.
IMPOSTAZIONE OROLOGIO
Lorologio della SATELLIT 750 in formato 24 ore e pu essere impostato

quando la radio accesa o spenta. Quando la radio spenta, lorologio apparir al centro del display. Quando la radio accesa, il simbolo dellorologio
apparir nellangolo destro della parte superiore del display.
Impostare lorologio
1. Premere il tasto TIME per circa un secondo o fino a quando licona delle
ore non comincer a lampeggiare.
2. Mentre licona sta lampeggiando, girate la manopola TUNING per impostare lorario correttamente; quindi premete il tasto TIME e notate che
licona dei minuti comincer a lampeggiare.
3. Mentre licona lampeggia, utilizzate la manopola di sintonizzazione per
settare correttamente i minuti. Quindi premete il tasto TIME.
Notare che dopo aver impostato lorario o i minuti, potete semplicemente
lasciare il numero lampeggiante, senza premere il tasto TIME.

CONFIGURARE LALLARME
ALLARME CON SUONERIA (Continui)
La SATELLIT 750 ha due allarmi che possono essere programmati in maniera indipendente per entrare in funzione o essere disattivati ad un orario
stabilito.
significa che quando il timer si azioner, verr attivata la radio.

significa che quando il timer si azioner, verr attivata una suoneria.
significa che il timer disattivato.
Impostare un allarme
1. Premere il tasto AL.1 o AL.2 per un secondo o fino a quando licona indicante lorario dellallarme comincer a lampeggiare nellangolo superiore
sinistro del display. Mentre licona lampeggia, impostare lorario con la
manopola di sintonizzazione. Quindi premere il tasto AL.1 o AL.2. Notate
che a questo punto licona indicante i minuti dellallarme comincer a
lampeggiare.
2. Mentre licona lampeggia, impostare i minuti dellallarme con la manopola
di sintonizzazione. Quindi premere il tasto AL.1 o AL.2. Notate che a
questo punto licona del sleep timer comincer a lampeggiare nel quadrante superiore del display.
3. Mentre licona lampeggia, impostare lorario nel quale la radio deve attivarsi con la manopola di sintonizzazione. Quindi premere il tasto AL.1 o
AL.2.
Notare che dopo aver impostato lorario o i minuti, potete semplicemente
lasciare il numero lampeggiante, senza premere il tasto Al.1 o AL.2.
Una volta che lallarme stato attivato (tramite radio o suoneria), possono
essere utilizzate solo le opzioni POWER, SLEEP, LIGHT/SNOOZE e RESET.
Premere i tasti POWER o SLEEP per spegnere lallarme.
TASTO LIGHT/SNOOZE
Quando lallarme attivato, premete il tasto LIGHT/SNOOZE per disattivare
temporaneamente il timer per 10 minuti. Potete premere il tasto LIGHT/
SNOOZE 3 volte durante lallarme, prima che possiate spegnere lallarme
premendo il tasto nuovamente.
ATTIVAZIONE/DISATTIVAZIONE DELLALLARME
Perch un allarme possa funzionare e azionare la radio deve essere attivato.
Per attivare lallarme, la SATELLIT 750 pu essere accesa o spenta.
Per attivare lallarme, osservate la parte superiore del display, dove
compaiono le icone TIMER A e TIMER B. Premete velocemente i tasti AL.1
ON/OFF o AL.2 ON/OFF. Se gli speaker sono attivati, la radio comincer a
funzionare; nel caso in cui sia attivata la suoneria, sar questa ad entrare in
funzione. Se non udite niente, lallarme disattivato.
ALLARME CON SUONERIA

Premere lopzione [AL.1 on/off] per selezionare la sezione Timer A. A
questo punto quando lallarme si azioner sar attivata una suoneria.

SLEEP TIMER
PRESA LINE-IN
La funzione sleep timer permette alla SATELLIT 750 di funzionare per un

numero stabilito di minuti, 1 - 120 minuti, e poi di spegnersi automaticamente.
La presa LINE-IN si trova nella parte anteriore, in basso a sinistra, della radio
e vi permette di far passare il suono da un altro dispositivo alla Satellit 750.
Utilizzate un cavo con una presa stereo da 3,5 mm. Questa presa usa un
input di livello di linea industriale standard.
Per attivare la funzione sleep timer, premete il tasto SLEEP nella parte anteriore, in alto sulla destra, della radio. Notare che a questo punto apparir sul
display il numero dei minuti in cui questa opzione rimarr attiva. A questo
punto, premete il tasto SLEEP ripetutamente. Lasciatelo quindi sui minuti
nei quali volete che questa funzione sia attiva.
PRESE LINE OUT

Nella parte posteriore della radio sono alloggiate le prese sinistra e destra di
line-out, contrassegnate dalla scritta LINE OUT. Queste prese utilizzano un
output di livello di linea industriale standard e possono essere collegate a
qualsiasi input di livello di linea industriale standard.
UTILIZZARE IL TASTO DELLA LUCE

Una pressione veloce del tasto LIGHT offre circa 5 secondi di illuminazione
allindicatore della forza del SEGNALE e al display. Una pressione prolungata
offre una illuminazione pi lunga quando la radio accesa. Fate attenzione
se state utilizzando le batterie, questa funzione ne consumer la carica
velocemente. Nel caso in cui, invece, ladattatore AC sia connesso, non ci
sono problemi a lasciare accesa la luce, LA luca pu essere posta a sinistra
permanentemente.
PRESA PER GLI AURICOLARI

La presa per gli auricolari si trova nella parte frontale, in basso a sinistra,
sulla radio ed contrassegnata dalla scritta EAR. Inserite gli auricolari o le
cuffie utilizzando una presa stereo da 3,5 mm. Abbassate il volume prima di
collegarli.

PRESE PER LANTENNA ESTERNA

Le prese per lantenna esterna vengono utilizzate per connettere la SATELLIT 750 ad antenne dalle performance avanzate.
Nella parte destra della radio sono alloggiate delle prese da 50 Ohm tipo
BNC per FM e Onde Corte. Cavi coassiali da 50 o 75 Ohm possono essere
utilizzati per alimentare in modo adeguato lantenna. Per trovare lantenna
appropriata, vi raccomandiamo di far prima una ricerca in internet, cercando
nel vostro motore di ricerca preferito Antenne FM o Antenne per Onde
Corte.
Sono inoltre presenti una presa nera ed una rossa, contrassegnate con
500 Ohm, sviluppate per lavorare con unantenna per Onde Corte ad alta
impedenza, 300-600 Ohm, come, ad esempio, unantenna a cavo lungo.
Inserite un cavo lungo, da 10 a 35 metri, nella presa rossa e posizionatela
sul pavimento, allungando il cavo il pi possibile e facendo attenzione che il

TASTO RESET
cavo non venga a contatto con altri oggetti metallici. Se siete allinterno di
un edificio, posizionate il cavo il pi vicino possibile alla finestra. Inserite un
cavo da 10 a 20 metri nella presa nera e lasciatelo scorrere sul pavimento.
Oppure collegate alla presa nera una sonda dacqua fredda con un pezzo di
cavo pi corto possibile.
Il pulsante di reset si trova a sinistra sotto la manopola TUNING. Quando

lunit spenta o sembra fermarsi, premere il pulsante di reset per riavviarla.
I dati immagazzinati e la sveglia non saranno eliminati. Una volta premuto
Reset sar necessario impostare nuovamente le frequenze in AM per il Nord
America.
Sullantenna AM ruotante, che si trova sulla radio, presente una presa per
antenne AM da 50 o 75 Ohm.
Quando utilizzate prese esterne, selezionate lopzione EXTERNAL con
linterruttore di selezione presente sulla parte destra della radio. Quando
utilizzate le antenne interne, selezionate lopzione ANTENNA.
NOTA BENE: ricordarsi di disinserire tutte le antenne che sono montate
allesterno in presenza di un temporale.
PRESA READY 12K OUT/DRM

Per coloro che desiderano ricevere i segnali in DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale),
presente una presa READY 12K OUT/DRM nella parte posteriore della
radio. I segnali DRM sono segnali digitali mandate attraverso le frequenze
in onde corte per le quali necessario un software speciale per poterle
demodulare. Potete trovare questo software, semplicemente inserendo nel
vostro motore di ricerca DRM radio software. Installare il software e leggere
le istruzioni. Fate passare il segnale da questa presa alla scheda del suono
del vostro computer con un cavo stereo. Pi informazioni a questo riguardo
