Synopsis
This document discusses the system study details conducted at canteen of AlSalama Group.
The document covers the details and requirements for implementing the same.

DETAILS OF THE STUDY


Background:
I have completed a system study at Al Salama Canteen to come up with a software
solution to manage the canteen with the objective of improving overall management
efficiency, stocking, reporting, accountability and an improved online process backed by
information technology.
Objective
1) To manage the canteen in a single platform.
2) To bring in more improvement in process and systems.
3) Overall accountability, control on canteen staff, stock monitoring, and generate
various reports.
4) To increase the quality of the canteen and reduce food wastage.
5) To minimize the mismanagement.

Current Software in use


1) No software is using
2) No stock updating

Currently Management of Operations


1. All the activities through offline mode .
2. Purchase request through offline mode.
3. No online platform for checking stock details, accounts and sales reports.
4. Lack of stock and sales collection monitoring.

Suggested Solution
The proposed solution is a combination of SAP. The application is concentrates of the
canteen areas where as SAP manages of the overall reports. We can reduce the loss
happening in the canteen, we can manage the stock through these.
Who gets the Login?
The proposed application should contain following stake holders. Each person should
be assigned operations of certain modules based on his designation by using a
permission management module. The top management/ IT head should have the
provision to decide who has the rights to view, add contents corresponding to various
modules. The application should provide access to following designations.

System admin can manage the entire operations related to canteen. He can
take all necessary reports , make changes in data and assign permissions to a user/ user
types based on the requirement.
