Teaching Philosophy
As teachers, we have the power to make a difference in the present but also in the future.
507.251.9005 Working directly with the next generation and often times spending more time with the children
than anyone else, educators have the privilege and the responsibility of shaping future citizens. It
is imperative that teachers are aware of this power, to use it for the betterment of the world in all

Education
This classroom incorporated center-based learning. For math and reading especially, I was able to
cater toward individual and small group needs through the use of ability grouped centers. These
BACHELOR OF ARTS centers allowed me to attend to particular needs and work closely with individuals on specific
Elementary Education goals.

Co-taught using one teach/one observe, one teach/one assist, parallel teaching,
Magna Cum Laude | GPA 3.8 station teaching, alternative teaching, and team teaching
2017 Developed in-depth lesson plans incorporating Gardners Multiple Intelligences
Created unique lessons using Smart Projector technology and one-to-one iPads
Organized and facilitated an off-site field trip, utilizing tour guides catered toward
students
Designed hands on projects and summative assessments for students to

Licensure Implemented a lesson utilizing American Sign Language
INCLUSION STAFF
Madison School & Community Recreation/May 2016-August 2016
During the summer intermediate camp, I worked with students with varying disabilities on
academic and social skills. I applied behavior management techniques utilized by most school
districts including choice theory and positive reinforcement. Student disabilities ranged from
Autism to deaf and blind.
