The key takeaways are about the importance and glories of the Bhagavad Gita as outlined in the seven verses of Gita Mahatmyam composed by Adi Sankaracharya.

The main points covered in the Gita Mahatmyam verses are that properly following the instructions of the Gita can free one from all miseries, sincerely reading and practicing the Gita can remove reactions from past misdeeds, bathing even once in the Gita is more purifying than daily water baths, the Gita is the essence of all Vedic scriptures as it is directly spoken by Krishna.

The Bhagavad Gita states that Krishna/Vasudeva should be known through all Vedas, as Krishna states that he is the knower and compiler of the Vedas and Vedanta, and all scriptures remind souls of Krishna.

Meaning of "BHAGAVAN"

The Sanskrit word bhagavn is explained by the great spiritual authority Parara Muni, the father of
Vysadeva as "Bhaga" means OPULENCES & "Van" means POSSESSER. So bhagavn means
"POSSESSER OF ALL OPULENCES".

The Supreme Personality who possesses all Six opulences namely all Riches, all Strength, all Fame, all
Beauty, all Knowledge and all Renunciation is called Bhagavn. There are 33 million demigods starting
from Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva who are very rich, very powerful, very beautiful, very famous, very
learned and very much detached, but no one can claim that he possesses all riches, all power, etc.,
entirely. Only KRISHNA can claim this because He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead as confirmed
in all the Vedic literatures. No other living entity starting from all incarnations of Lord Krishna and
demigods like Lord Brahm, Lord iva etc. can possess opulences as fully as Lord Sri Krishna.

Therefore it is concluded in the Brahma-sahit by Lord Brahma

(Brahma-sahit 5.1)

"isvara parama ka

sac-cid-nanda-vigraha

andir dir govinda

sarva-kraa-kraam"

"Lord Krishna is the Supreme Personality of godhead who is the ultimate controller of all the
controllers. No one is equal to or above Him. His form is eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. He has no
source (andir) and he is the source of all other sources (dir). He is the primeval lord (Bhagavn)
Govinda, who is the supreme cause of all causes".

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.28

"ete ca-kal pusa

kas tu bhagavn svayamindrri-vykula lokamayanti yuge yuge"

"All the lists of the Yuga avatars of Godhead like Lord Narasimha, Varaha etc. are expansions of the
Supreme Godhead, but KRISHNA is the Original Supreme Personality of Godhead himself (KAS TU
BHAGAVN SVAYAM), the ultimate Absolute Truth. All of them appear on planets to protect the
theists whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists"

There are many personalities possessing the qualities of Bhagavn at different percentages but Lord
Sri KRISHNA who possesses cent percent of all these qualities is the only Supreme source of these
qualities and none can equal or excel Him. That is the verdict of all the Vedas, Puranas and
Upanishads. Krishna is not an "AVATAR" but "AVATARI" who is the source of all of his Avatars and all
the 33 million demigods.
GITA GROUP Class 4
STAUNCH DEVOTEES

Staunch Devotees are of two types. One with little spiritual knowledge and the other out of some
sentimental affection. Both are good. We become devoted to some god including the Supreme Lord
Sri KRISHNA due to our parents, friends or relatives. They are the only cause for us getting attached to
a particular god. This is the first step in devotion which will gradually lead one to acquire Vedic
knowledge. Then after acquiring real authentic vedic knowledge one will very gradually come to know
that Sri KRISHNA is the source of all the (33 million Demigods starting from Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva
etc.) who is known as "MUKUNDA" (The giver of Mukti or Liberation).

For instance someone's favourite god may be Durga Devi also known as Maya Devi or Kali Devi who is
referred in Vedas by the great spiritual authority Lord Brahma as one of the important potency of the
Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.

Prayers by Lord Brahma

In Brahma Samhita Lord Brahma very clearly explains the position of each demigod in relation to the
Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. He confirms in each and every sloka that Lord GOVINDA is the Primeval
Lord and is the source of the power of each and every demigods.

Brahma Samhitha Text 5.44

"srustisthiti-pralaya-sdhana-aktirek

chyeva yasya bhuvanni bibharti durg

icchnurpam api yasya ca chestathe s

govindam di-purusham tam aham bhajmi"

"The external potency My who is of the nature of the shadow of the internal potency of Govinda is
worshiped by all people as Durg, the creating, preserving and destroying agency of this temporary
mundane world. I adore the primeval Lord GOVINDA in accordance with whose will Durg conducts
herself"

Similarly if you are attached to Lord Ganesh, then you will find in

Brahma Samhitha Text 5.50

"yat-pda-pallava-yugam vinidhya kumbha-

dvandve pranama-samaye sa gandhirjaha

vighnn vihantum alam asya jagat-trayasya

govindam di-purusham tam aham bhajmi"

"I adore the primeval Lord GOVINDA, whose lotus feet are always held by Lord Ganesha upon the pair
of tumuli protruding from his elephant head in order to obtain power for his function of destroying all
the obstacles on the path of progress of the three worlds"

Similarly for Sun God

Brahma samhitha Text 5.52

""yac-caksur esa savit sakala-grahnaam

rj samasta-sura-mrtir assesha-tejha

Yasyagnya bhramati sambhrata-kla-cakro

govindam di-purusham tam aham bhajmi"

"The sun who is the king of all the planets, full of infinite effulgence, the image of the good soul, is as
the eye of this world. I adore the primeval Lord GOVINDA in pursuance of whose order the sun
performs his journey mounting on the wheel of time"

So after acquiring Vedic knowledge if one gradually surrenders to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, then
he need not further separately endeavour to satisfy all other 33 million demigods and will
automatically attain their blessings. The perfect spiritual path is not to glorify and worship all
demigods but to follow their instructions strictly which is nothing but surrendering unto the Supreme
Godhead Sri Krishna. The ultimate purpose and the essence of all the Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads
is to gradually bring each and every living entity towards the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord Sri
Krishna and nothing else.
GITA GROUP Class 5

Meaning of "MANTRA"

In Sanskrit "MAN" means the mind and "TRA" means to relieve. "MANTRA" means to relieve the
Mind. So the mind has to be relieved from mundane thoughts and should be directed for spiritual
progress through chanting of the holy name. "MAHAMANTRA" means the great chanting for
deliverance. Hare Krishna maha-mantra is so powerful that if one chants loudly or softly, in any
condition, one can be protected from all evils of material existence and will finally attain eternity in
the kingdom of the Supreme Lord.

Why do we chant the holy name ?

From "Brihad Naradiya purana" composed by deva Rishi Narada muni

"harer nama harer nama

harer namaiva kevalam

Kalau nasty eva nasty eva

nasty eva gatir anyatha"

"In this age of kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self realization than
chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of Lord Hari"

Moreover the "HARE KRISHNA MAHAMANTRA" is DIRECTLY and SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the
"KALI-SANTARAA UPANIAD" (a part of Atharva Veda) which serves as a specific guide for the
people in the age of Kali to get rid of the cycle of Birth, Old age, Disease and Death (Janma, Mrtyu,
Jara, Vyadhi)
Lord Brahma's instructions to his son Narada Muni

"HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA

KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE

HARE RMA HARE RMA

RMA RMA HARE HARE

iti oaaka nmn

kali-kalmaa-nana

nta parataropya

sarva-vedeu dyate"

After searching through all the Vedic literature, one cannot find a sublime method of religion for
destroying the evil effects of the age of KALI than chanting of these sixteen names composed of 32
syllables which is the YUGA DHARMA for kali Yuga"

YUGA DHARMA means the one and only practical process of surrendering to the supreme lord in a
particular Yuga through which one can escape from the vicious cycle of "Janma, Mrtyu, Jara, Vyadhi"
(Birth, Death, Old age, Disease) and can attain the lotus feet of the supreme lord eternally.

Meaning of Hare Krishna

Hare means Mother Hara, the pleasure potency of the Lord, Srimathi Radharani. By chanting one
prays to mother Radha, "Please allow me to serve and love Krishna".

Krishna means the "all attractive". Rama means the "Reservoir of eternal spiritual bliss".

The meaning of Hare Krishna Mahamantra is "O energy of Krishna (Hare,Radhe), O Krishna Please
engage me in your devotional service".
So everyone must chant at least 108 times of Hare Krishna Mahamantra everyday.

GITA GROUP Class 6

Potency of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra

In the Hare Krishna Mahamantra

"Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna,

Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare,

Hare Rma, Hare Rma,

Rma Rma, Hare Hare"

there are 4 Krishnas & 4 Ramas.

"sree rama rama rameti

rame raame manorame

sahasranama tattulyam

rama nama varanane"

According to "Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra" one name of Rama = thousand names of Vishnu.

"sahasra nam nam punyanam

trir avrttya tu tat phalam

ekavrttya tu krsnasya

namaikam tat prayacchati"

According to "Brahmanda Purana" one name of Krishna = 3 names of Rama.

So in the Hare Krishna Mahamantra there are 4 Krishnas (which=12 Ramas) & 4 Ramas. So total 16
Ramas.

1 Rama = 1000 Vishnus and therefore in one Hare Krishna Mahamantra there are 16000 Vishnus.

So just by chanting these sixteen syllables one will obtain all the results that can be obtained by
chanting 16000 names of lord Vishnu.

In each and every second of our life everyone of us are striving to drive away all the inauspiciousness
and struggles to bring as much auspiciousness as possible through various means. But one cannot
even imagine the unlimited amount of auspiciousness that one will acquire by chanting the holy name
of the Supreme Lord Sri krishna. When one starts chanting the name of the supreme lord all the
accumulated sins of his previous million births is burned to ashes immediately which is the one and
only cause for all the inauspiciousness in one's life. This is repeatedly confirmed in all the Vedic
literatures.

This one MAHAMANTRA has the potency of all the other powerful mantras and No other Mantra is
equal to or greater than this Hare Krishna Mahamantra. This is not only an easy substitute for all the
other mantras including the topmost Gayathri Mantra but also possess some unlimited, extraordinary
and unimaginable potency as it directly connect us to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna who is the source
of all vedic mantras and tantras.

The potency of chanting the Mahamantra is unimaginable & it is the only authentic, sublime, direct,
easiest and the surest process of surrender to attain the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna in
this KALI Yuga.

"KALI YUGA" means the age of Quarrel & Hypocrisy.

So we must allot just 8 minutes of our every 24 hours to chant at least 108 times, the Hare Krishna
Mahamantra everyday from today and fills our life with unlimited auspiciousness.

cleanliness; steadiness; self-control; renunciation of the objects of sense gratication; absence of false
ego; the perception of the evil of "BIRTH, DEATH, OLD AGE and DISEASE"; detachment; freedom from
material entanglement; even-mindedness amid pleasant and unpleasant events; constant and
unalloyed devotion to Me; accepting the importance of self-realization; and philosophical search for
the Absolute Truth all these I declare to be KNOWLEDGE, and besides this whatever there may be is
IGNORANCE"

In these verses the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna himself very clearly clarifies what is KNOWLEDGE and
IGNORANCE. A Bonafide Spiritual Master is one who is a pure devotee of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna
and who guides all others towards the path of surrendering unto him through authentic Vedic
instructions.

From all these verses the very first basic thing which every one of us have to understand are the evils
of "BIRTH, DEATH, OLD AGE and DISEASE (JANMA-MTYU-JAR-VYDHI)" in the above "TEXT 13.9"
which are the four main pillars and the source for all our other problems. Almost every one in this
world is seeking for spiritual enlightenment. Even atheists used to argue to show God so that they will
believe him. But the ULTIMATE AUTHENTIC spiritual Messages and Guidance lies in the Sanskrit Slokas
compiled by Srila Vyasa Dev which is not at all accessible in this modern world filled with various types
of So called spiritual-isms and yoga processes which are fully based on the mental speculation of
many unscrupulous persons who never takes shelter of the Vedic Scriptures.

There are two levels in spirituality

1. BETWEEN Birth and Death (Level of Ignorance)

2. BEYOND Birth and Death (Level of Real Vedic Knowledge)

Almost everyone of us are always trying to get a "TEMPORARY RELIEF" through some process for all
our problems which occurs again and again in between our Birth and Death. But Bhagavad gita always
focuses only towards giving a "PERMANENT SOLUTION" to all our problems and guides us to become
really intelligent enough to cut one's own vicious cycle of BIRTH and DEATH which is the ultimate
source to all our problems. It gives us both TEMPORARY RELIEF and also bestows a PERMANENT
SOLUTION.

One who is really Intelligent must first clearly understand that whether one consider himself a Hindu,
Christian, Muslim, Indian, American, Rich, Poor, Beautiful, Ugly or identifies himself with any other
temporary designations or whether he follows a particular method of so called spiritual or yoga
process, he must face the four common problems of BIRTH, OLD AGE, DISEASE and DEATH. Almost
98% of the human population all over the world think that there is no life after death, so let's enjoy
this one life and don't waste our precious time in breaking our heads in understanding the Vedas. This
is the very basic foundation of our IGNORANCE. If it is true then there is no need for the Supreme Lord
Sri Krishna to recite Bhagavad Gita. Through Gita the supreme lord guides all the living entities to
come out of the vicious cycle of (BIRTH, OLD AGE, DISEASE, DEATH) and attain his Eternal Kingdom
VAIKUNTA out of his causeless mercy and nothing else. In sanskrit "KUNTA" means miseries and
"VAIKUNTA" means absence of miseries.

The very first basic lesson in spirituality is that "We are not this Temporary BODY but Eternal SOUL
(Atma)". All the Vedic literatures repeatedly condemns those persons as animals who waste this rare
human form of life in always focusing only towards the four common activities namely "Aahaara,
Nidra, Bhayam, Maithuna" (Eating, Sleeping, Defending and Breeding) which is also found in Dogs and
Hogs without understanding the recurring problems of Birth and Death.

In simple words an Intelligent person must think "If Iam going to die the next second then what is the
use of (all my material and so called spiritual endeavours, artificial boosting up of Self Confidence,
worries, strugglings, lamentations, hankerings, so called temporary relief etc.) which is going to repeat
Birth after Birth.

The Supreme lord has given intelligence to everyone of us and we must apply it to our maximum
capacity in understanding the root cause of all our problems. So it's upto us to decide EITHER to
continue our journey in the platform of IGNORANCE and rotate again and again in the cycle of
repeated Birth and Death
OR

to elevate ourselves to the platform of real vedic KNOWLEDGE through surrendering to the Supreme
Lord Sri Krishna and to his instructions thereby escape from this vicious cycle which is the one and
only purpose of this rare opportunity of human form.

How to perfectly understand and attain the Supreme Lord

Three general steps to know about any person perfectly.

1. Hear directly from the person.

2. Enquire from other authentic persons about him.

3. Move closely with him personally.

Here Arjuna is expressing his authentic realisation about the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna after following
these three steps.

Bhagavad Gita 10.12

arjuna uvca

"para brahma para dhma pavitra parama bhavn purua vata divyam

di-devam aja vibhum"

Bhagavad Gita 10.13

"hus tvm aya sarve

devarir nradas tath

asito devalo vysa

svaya caiva bravi me"

ARJUNA said

"You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate abode, the ultimate purest, the supreme
Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the ultimate source, the unborn,
the greatest. All the great sages such as Nrada, Asita, Devala and Vysadev conrm this truth about
You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me"

In these two verses the Supreme Lord gives a chance through his dearmost devotee Arjuna to the
MYVD philosopher to rectify themselves who considers the Supreme Lord and other living beings
are one after liberation. MYVD philosophers are those who believe that the supreme absolute
truth is formless and after liberation we will get merged with it. But here Arjuna declares "PURUA
VATA DIVYAM" (Eternal Transcendental Person). From this it is very clear that the Supreme is
eternally a person with a beautiful form and he is always different from the ordinary individual soul
like us even after liberation. Arjuna, after hearing the essential verses of Bhagavad-gt in this
chapter, became completely free from all doubts and accepted Krishna as the Supreme Personality of
Godhead. He at once boldly declares, You are para brahma, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
And the supreme lord Sri krishna repeatedly confirms that he is the originator of everything and
everyone. All the 33 million demigods, every human being and all living entities in the entire creation
are dependent on him.

But some men and demigods who got puffed up by their temporary power think that they are
absolute and independent of the Supreme Godhead out of ignorance. That ignorance will be removed
completely only by the discharge of devotional service. Arjuna is accepting Him as the Supreme Truth,
in concordance with all the Vedic injunctions. It is not that because Krishna is Arjunas intimate friend,
Arjuna is attering Him by calling him the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Absolute Truth.
Whatever Arjuna says in these two verses is conrmed by Vedic truth. Vedic injunctions afrm that
only one who takes to devotional service to the Supreme Lord can understand Him, whereas others
cannot.

This is also conrmed by great sages and spiritual authorities, of whom Nrada Muni is the chief. But
unfortunately those proud of their academic education, despite so much EVIDENCE in Vedic
literatures, stick to their obstinate conviction that the Supreme Lord Sri KRISHNA is an ordinary
person. So following in the footsteps of Arjuna we must first hear the instructions directly from the
Supreme Lord through "BHAGAVAD GITA" and then enquire from great spiritual authorities like Lord
Brahma, Lord Shiva, Yamaraj, Vyasadev, other pure devotees like Prahalad Maharaj, Dhruva Maharaj,
Narada Muni etc. through other important Vedic literatures like "SRIMAD BHAGAVATHAM" and
"BRAHMA SAMHITHA" about that Supreme Lord Sri Krishna so that finally by his mercy each one of us
will get the opportunity to move directly with him eternally. This is the only Authentic Vedic
procedure to perfectly understand and approach the omnipresent, omnipotent and the omniscient
supreme lord Sri Krishna and he cannot be approached by any other so called spiritual or yoga
processes which are fully based on the mental speculations of many unscrupulous persons who never
takes guidance from Vedic scriptures.
GITA GROUP Class 9

THE DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION (GURU SHISHYA PARAMPARA)

If one is really serious in "LEARNING" or "TEACHING" exact Vedic knowledge, the very first basic thing
one must do is to drive away all his own personal opinions and speculations about spiritualism from
his mind which are fully based on his ignorance and should keep it open and clean.

Hearing discussions among the pure devotees is the only means to receive the powerful message of
the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna As It Is without misinterpretations. For instance,
Bhagavad-Gt has been well known all over the world for a very long time, especially in the western
world, but because the subject matter was not discussed by devotees, there was no effect. Not a
single person in the west became Krishna conscious before the establishment of ISKCON
(International Society For Krishna Consciousness). But when the same Bhagavad-Gt was presented
As It Is through the "DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION" the effect of spiritual realization was immediately
manifested and many persons became devotees all over the world because

"Many persons may understand the words of the supreme lord but only a 'PURE DEVOTEE' from a
proper Disciplic Succession can understand the heart of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna and can reveal
the exact factual purpose of Lord's Personal Instructions"

Bhagavad- gt 4.2

"eva parampar-prptam

ima rjarayo vidu

sa kleneha mahat

yogo naa paran-tapa"

"This supreme science was thus received through the chain of DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION, and the saintly
kings understood it in that way. But in course of time the succession was broken, and therefore the
science As It Is appears to be lost"
Here the supreme lord sri krishna himself clearly states that the Gt was especially meant for the
saintly kings because they were to execute its purpose in ruling over the citizens. Certainly
Bhagavad-gt was never meant for the demonic persons, who would dissipate its value for no ones
benet and would devise all types of misinterpretations according to personal whims. As soon as the
original purpose was scattered by the motives of the unscrupulous commentators, there arose the
need to re-establish the DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION. 5000 years ago it was detected by the Supreme Lord
himself that the Disciplic Succession was broken, and therefore he declared that the purpose of the
Gt appeared to be lost. In the same way, at the present moment also there are so many editions of
the Gt (especially in English), but almost all of them are not according to authorized DISCIPLIC
SUCCESSION and adulterated with someone's personal opinion and mental speculation . There are
innumerable interpretations rendered by different mundane scholars, but almost all of them do not
accept the Lord Sri Krishna as Supreme source of all sources and the cause of all causes which was
repeatedly confirmed throughout the chapters of Bhagavad Gita, although they make a good business
on his instructions. This spirit is demonic, because

"DEMONS DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD BUT SIMPLY ENJOY HIS PROPERTY"

Since there is a great need of an edition of the Gt in English, As It Is received by the Guru Sishya
parampar (DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION) system, an attempt is made herewith to fulll this great want. If
Bhagavad-gt is accepted As It Is without any alteration or adulteration then it is a great boon to
humanity, but if it is accepted as a treatise of philosophical speculations it is simply a waste of time.

A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupda (The founder Acharya of ISKCON) is the 32nd Acharya
in the "BRAHMA MADHVA GAUDIYA" Sampradaya.

The book "BHAGAVAD-GT AS IT IS" is received through this DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION starting from the
Supreme Lord Sri Krishna himself

1. Krishna 2. Brahm

3. Nrada 4. Vysadev

5. Madhvacharya 6. Padmanbha
7. Narahari 8. Mdhava

Therefore A "GURU" (Bonafide Spiritual Master) is a pure devotee and a true messenger of Sri Krishna
who comes under a proper "DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION" starting from the Supreme Lord himself. Without
the mercy of a BONAFIDE GURU one cannot make any real spiritual progress. A Bonafide Guru can
convert even a Third class DEMON who commits all the worst sinful activities that are condemned by
the Vedas to a First class PURE DEVOTEE of the Supreme Lord Sri KRISHNA. Srila Prabhupad has
converted lakhs and lakhs of such Demons all over the world through his purity and the strong
conviction he had towards his Guru and towards the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. Even after his
departure from this mortal world to the Supreme abode, he is still converting many through his books
filled with very authentic and straight forward commentaries and Vedic references.

At present there are many unscrupulous persons who suddenly becomes a Guru based on his
excellent ORATORICAL TALENTS without proper training in Vedic knowledge and guidance by a
Bonafide spiritual master, thereby conveys his own peace formula and artificially boost up the self
confidence of the general public based on his own mental speculation, while a Bonafide spiritual
master is one who comes under an authentic DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION (Guru Shishya Parampara) and
conveys the same knowledge as it was imparted to Arjuna by the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna around
5000 years ago without any alteration or adulteration, thereby acts as a true spiritual messenger of
the Supreme Lord and guides everyone to acquire natural conviction on the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.

In the last 12th Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam there is a list of predictions and prophecies about
the dark times for the present age of Kali Yuga. The following 2 predictions, written around 5,000
years ago by sage Vyasadev, are amazing because they appear so accurate.

Bhagavatam 12.2.4

liga evrama-khytv

anyonypatti-kranam

avrtty nyya-daurbalyam

pnditye cpalam vaca

"A persons spiritual position will be ascertained merely according to external symbols, and on that
same basis people will change from one spiritual order to the next. A persons propriety will be
seriously questioned if he does not earn a good living. And one who is very clever at juggling words
will be considered a learned scholar"

Srimad Bhagavatam 12.3.38

"dr pratigrahyanti

tapo-veopajvina

dharma vakyanty adharma-j adhiruh yottamsanam"

"Uncultured men will accept charity on behalf of the Lord and will earn their livelihood by making a
show of austerity and wearing a mendicants dress. Those who know nothing about religion will
mount a high seat and presume to speak on religious principles"

So let us be aware of Spiritual TEACHERS and CHEATERS by thoroughly understanding the following
Vital checklists through which we can very easily distinguish between BOGUS and REAL spiritual
institutions

1. BOGUS focuses only matters that occurs between birth and death while REAL focuses on matters
between birth and death as well as gives more clarity beyond birth and death which is the core point
of spirituality.

2. BOGUS always gives some "Temporary Relief" while REAL always guides us towards a "Permanent
Solution" to all our problems which includes some Temporary Relief as well.

3. BOGUS always boost up our self confidence artificially while REAL boost up our confidence towards
the Supreme Lord which is very natural as we are by default helpless in this temporary material world
with recurring trials and tribulations.

4. BOGUS always focuses in pleasing our mind while REAL focuses in delivering the exact message of
the Vedas and never cares whether it pleases us or not.

5. BOGUS rarely takes support from scriptures while REAL always depends fully on the scriptures and
never deviates.

6. BOGUS easily gets followers within a very short period of time while REAL takes much more time to
establish the authentic Vedic facts.

7. BOGUS teachings will be contradictory to the teachings of the Vedas while REAL teaches as it is
given in the Vedas without any alterations and adulterations.

8. BOGUS sometimes refer slokas from scriptures but mostly present their own mental speculations
about spiritualism and personal advices while REAL does not have any personal opinions about
spiritualism and never delivers messages without referring to the vedic slokas.

9. BOGUS focuses on giving satisfaction to our temporary body and mind while REAL focuses in
delivering the eternal soul (our real original self) to the Kingdom of the Supreme Lord (VAIKUNTA).

10. BOGUS teaches us to be independent which is absolutely illusory while REAL teaches to be always
dependent on the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna which is our eternal factual position. Even if we claim
ourselves as independent out of illusion in this temporary material world, we are factually always
dependent and controlled by material nature (Parasakthi) who is the external potency of the Supreme
Lord Sri Krishna. (Refer Class 4 Page 2)

11. BOGUS spiritual master suddenly becomes a guru based on his excellent Oratorical Talents
without proper training in vedic knowledge and guidance by a Bonafide spiritual master, thereby
conveys some peace formula based on his own mental speculation while REAL spiritual master is one
who comes under an authentic DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION (Guru Shishya Parampara), becomes a Guru
only with the permission of his own spiritual master and conveys the original eternal vedic peace
formula as it was imparted to Arjuna by the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna around 5000 years ago.

12. BOGUS always tries to promote themselves by presenting their own colourful mental speculations
without referring to Vedas while REAL rather than promoting themselves always tries to promote the
exact Vedic knowledge as it was compiled by Vyasadev without adulteration.

13. BOGUS spiritual masters always present themselves to the public as their real well wisher and
saviour while REAL hides himself behind the Supreme Lord and always presents the Supreme Lord Sri
Krishna as the eternal well wisher and real saviour to the public. For instance Lakhs and lakhs of
people all over the world are aware of ISKCON but only a very few thousands know about Srila
Prabhupad (The founder Acharya of ISKCON).

14. BOGUS misguides everyone by distributing the knowledge generated by his own mental
concoctions while real always encourages and guides everyone to get the exact spiritual knowledge
directly from the Vedas.

AND

15. Last but not the least only the REAL will teach us about the "YUGA DHARMA" (the Authentic Vedic
practical process of surrender) for the current KALI YUGA while BOGUS does not even know what is
"YUGA DHARMA" and thereby misleads everyone to follow some Yoga or Thought process based on
their own mental speculation which may give some illusory Temporary relief and peacefulness
without any permanent solution.

In total BOGUS never guides us to elevate by gaining vedic knowledge and will always teaches how to
live happily in this Temporary material world thereby keeping everyone in the illusory platform of
ignorance while REAL teaches that this world is "Full of miseries" (Dukhalayam) and is "Temporary"
(Asasvatam) and guides everyone towards the path of attaining the eternal kingdom of god.

Any INTELLIGENT person can very easily understand that "If something is temporary then where is the
place for real eternal happiness".

The word spiritualism is derived from the word spirit which means Eternal Soul and not our
Temporary Body and mind which changes birth after birth based on our previous karma (activities). So
real spirituality is that which gives us the real knowledge of our original constitutional position and
not to keep us all in the same platform of ignorance where we already exist. And a real spiritual
institution is that which serves only as an absolute communication media for Vedic injunctions
without adulterating it with their own personal instructions and opinions.

When one wants to get real spiritual enlightenment we must always remember that Srila VYASADEV
who is the ultimate authority for spiritualism and who is the literary incarnation of the Supreme Lord
himself has out of his causeless mercy compiled a very vast ocean of 4 Vedas, 18 Puranas and 108
Upanishads only for the purpose of enlightening all the suffering ignorant souls in this temporary
material world and not for his timepass. Of all the scriptures "BHAGAVAD GITA or GITOPANISHAD" is
the essence of all the upanishads and "SRIMAD BHAGAVATHAM" the 18th Purana is the complete
essence of all the Vedas, Puranas and Upanishads. Just like we get the knowledge of our father only
through our mother, the Vedas are the only reliable source which reveals our Supreme Father who is
the ultimate cause of all causes and the source of all sources.

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.43

"ke sva-dhmopagate

"This Bhgavatam Pura is as brilliant as the sun, and it has arisen just after the departure of Lord
Krishna to His own abode, accompanied by religion, knowledge, etc. Persons who have lost their
vision due to the dense darkness of ignorance in the Age of Kali shall get light from this Pura"

Our original constitutional position

What is our relationship with the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna

Bhagavad Gita (15.7)

"mamaivo jva-loke

jva-bhta santana

mana-ahnndriyiprakti-sthni karati"

"The living entities in this conditioned world are My "ETERNAL FRAGMENTAL" parts and parcels. Due
to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind"

In this verse the identity of the living being is clearly given as the eternal fragmental part and parcel
of the Supreme Lord. It is not that he assumes individuality in his conditional life and in his liberated
state becomes one with the Supreme Lord. He is "ETERNALLY FRAGMENTED" even after liberation. It
is clearly said, SANTANA (ETERNALLY). According to the Vedic version, the Supreme Lord manifests
and expands Himself in innumerable expansions, of which the primary expansions are called
viu-tattva and the secondary expansions are called the jiva-tattva or ordinary living entities. In other
words, the viu-tattva is the personal expansion, and the living entities are the separated expansions.
By His personal expansion, He is manifested in various forms like Lord Narayana, Rma, Nsiha-deva,
Viumrti and all the predominating Deities in theVaikuha planets. While the separated
expansions, the living entities, are ETERNALLY SERVITORS.

As fragmental parts and parcels of the Supreme lord, the living entities also have fragmental portions
of His qualities, of which independence is one. Every living entity, as an individual soul, has his
personal individuality and a minute form of independence. By misuse of that independence one
becomes a conditioned soul, and by proper use of independence he is always liberated. In either case,
he is qualitatively eternal, as the Supreme Lord is. In his liberated state he is freed from this material
condition, and he is under the engagement of transcendental loving service of the lord; in his
conditioned life he forgets the transcendental loving service of the Lord. As a result, he has to struggle
very hard to maintain his existence in this vicious temporary material world.

The living entities includes not only ordinary human beings, cats and dogs, but even the greater
controllers of the material world the 33 million demigods starting from Lord Brahm, Lord iva etc.
are all eternal parts and parcels of the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna. The word karati ("struggling or
grappling hard) is very signicant. The conditioned soul is bound up, as though shackled by iron
chains. He is bound up by the false ego, and the mind is the chief agent which is driving him in this
material existence. It is clear, in this verse, that the conditioned soul is covered by the material body,
with the mind and the senses, and when he is liberated this material body perishes, but his spiritual
body manifests itself in its individual capacity as the eternal servitor of Lord Sri Krishna.

The following information is there in the Mdhyandinyana-ruti:

"sa v ea brahma-niha ida arra martyam atisjya brahm bhisampadya brahma payati
brahma oti brahma aiveda sarvam anubhavati"

"when a living entity gives up this material embodiment and enters into the spiritual world, he
revives his spiritual body, and he can see the supreme Personality of Godhead face to face. He can
hear from him, speak to Him and can understand the Supreme personality as he is"

So due to forgetfulness of our eternal relationship with our supreme father Sri Krishna we are
struggling day by day through getting unnecessary attachment towards our temporary relationships
with our parents, children, siblings, relatives, well wishers and friends which is going to vanish at any
point of time. Either they will leave us first or we will leave them. Therefore after gaining authentic
Vedic knowledge all intelligent persons must gradually divert their attachment
FROM all other temporary (Relationships & Assets)

TO their eternal Supreme Father.

They must also guide all their temporary relatives right from their parents, children etc. to realize
their own eternal relationship with the supreme lord. Thereby they places themselves and all their
dearones in their original constitutional position as the part and parcel of Sri Krishna, gets rid of all
their unnecessary (Lamentations & Hankerings) and finally attains eternal spiritual bliss. This is perfect
detachment. Real detachment is not nullifying all our attachments which is impossible as the nature
of everyone is to get attached to someone or something. Many unscrupulous persons may make a
show of false detachment from everything. But it will not last long as he tries to do something which is
totally out of his real nature. But when one diverts his attachment towards his eternal supreme father
Sri Krishna, automatically he gets detached from all other temporary relations and assets which is the
only source of all his anxieties.

In vedas false detachment is referred as "phalgu vairagya" and perfect detachment as "yukta
vairagya". This phalgu should be pronounced as falgu just like physics.

The scientific explanation about "REBIRTH"

Bhagavat Gita 2.13

"dehino smin yath dehekaumra yauvanam jartath dehntara-prptirdhras tatra

na muhyati"

"As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body from childhood to boyhood to youth to old
age, the soul similarly passes to another body at death. A sober person is not bewildered by such a
change".

Since every living entity is an eternal individual soul, each one is changing his body every moment,
manifesting sometimes as child, sometimes as a youth and sometimes as an old man. Yet the same
spirit soul is there and does not undergo any change. This individual soul nally changes the body at
death and transmigrates to another body. Since it is sure to have another body in the next birth either
material or spiritual, there was no cause for Arjuna to lament on account of death for Bhma or for
Dronacharya, for whom he was so much concerned. Rather, he should rejoice for their changing
bodies from old to new ones, thereby rejuvenating their energy. Such changes of body account for
varieties of enjoyment or suffering, according to ones work in life (Karma). So Bhma and Drona
being noble souls, were surely going to have spiritual bodies in the next life, or at least life in heavenly
bodies for superior enjoyment of material existence. So, in either case, there was no cause of
lamentation.

Any man who has perfect knowledge of the constitution of the individual soul(atma), the
Supersoul(paramatma), and nature both material and spiritual is called a dhra, or a sober man.
Such a man is never deluded by the change of bodies.

In "PADMA PURANAM" Lord Shiva tells to Goddess Parvati about the different species of bodies a soul
gets birth after birth based on its activities (Karma) when it does not fully surrenders to the Supreme
Lord Sri Krishna.

"jalaja nava lakshani

sthavara laksha vimsati

krimayo rudra sankyakaa

pakshinam dasa lakshanam

trimsal lakshani pasavahaa

chatur lakshani manusaha"

"There are 84 lacs species of body a soul can get in a birth based on its karma.

9 lacs Aquatics , 20 lacs Plants & Trees , 11 lacs Insects & Reptiles , 10 lacs birds , 30
lacs Quadrupeds (Four legged animals)

AND 4 lacs Human ".

Only when a Soul gets human body one can realize himself and his ultimate creator the supreme Lord
Sri Krishna. But most of us waste this human form of life focusing always in comfortable "eating,
sleeping, defending and breeding" ("aahaara nidra bhayam maithuna") which we have already done in
our previous births in the body of a dog or a hog. Due to ignorance we identifies ourself with our
present body and always try to satisfy our temporary bodily needs which is nothing but "chewing the
chewed" and will ultimately result in getting a body other than human form in the next birth. The Soul
is forcefully injected into the womb of an animal or in a seed based on his activities (Karma).

The ultimate fact is that

"WE ARE NOT LIVING THIS LIFE BUT ARE PREPARING FOR OUR NEXT LIFE".

When one starts surrendering to the Supreme lord Sri Krishna and chants his holy name, then it
gradually nullifies all of his previous karmas (both pious and sins) and his next body will be spiritual in
the eternal kingdom VAIKUNTA which is the one and only ultimate purpose of our human form and
which is impossible in other bodies.

DIVISIONS OF FAITH

Bhagavad Gita 7.21

"yo yo y y tanu bhakta raddhayrcitum icchati

tasya tasycal raddh

tm eva vidadhmy aham"

"I am in everyones heart as the Supersoul (Paramatma.) As soon as one desires to worship some
demigod, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to that particular deity"

Bhagavad Gita 9.25

"ynti deva-vrat devn

pitn ynti pit-vrat

bhtni ynti bhtejy

ynti mad-yjino pi mm"

" Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those who worship the
ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and spirits will take birth among such beings;
and those who worship Me will live with Me"

The supreme lord has given independence to everyone; therefore, if a person desires to have
material enjoyment and wants very sincerely to have such facilities from the demigods, the Supreme
Lord, as Supersoul (Paramatma) in everyones heart, understands and gives facilities to such persons.
As the supreme father of all living entities, He does not interfere with their independence, but gives
all facilities so that they can fulll their material desires. Our supreme father Sri Krishna has created
various planetary systems with various demigods who are incharge of their respective planets to
satisfy everyone's desire but simultaneously he is also giving guidance through Vedic scriptures to
attain his eternal kingdom "VAIKUNTA". If one has any desire to go to the moon, the sun, svarga or
any other planet of any other demigod, one can attain the desired destination by following specic
Vedic principles recommended for that purpose, such as the process technically known as
DARA-PAURAMSA. These are vividly described in the fruitive activities portion of the Vedas, which
recommends a specic worship of demigods situated on different heavenly planets. Men who are
addicted to temporary material happiness aspire to reach the moon, Venus or Indraloka (Svargaloka),
Brahmaloka etc. But the cycle of birth and death exists even in all the heavenly planets although the
duration of life time is very long compared to our earth planet. Not only this earth but also all the
heavenly planets of the universes are places of misery because in none of the planets (except
Vaikunta) within the universe is there eternal life, eternal bliss and eternal knowledge.

Similarly, one can attain the pithruloka planets by performing a specic yaja or, one can go to many
ghostly planets and become a Yaka, Raka or Pica. Pica worship is called black arts or black
magic. There are many men who practice this black art, and they think that it is spiritualism, but such
activities are completely materialistic and one cannot get rid of the cycle of birth and death. But, a
pure devotee, who surrenders only unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, achieves the planets of
VAIKUHA or KRISHNALOKA without a doubt. There is no one in the heavenly planets who is an
atheist or nonbeliever. Thus any devotee of the Lord on the surface of the earth is always praised by
all the demigods and by their powers they will help the devotees in all respects, so that the supreme
Lord Sri Krishna is pleased with them. There is an invisible chain of complete cooperation between the
Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, the demigods and the devotee of the Lord on earth.

It is very easy to understand through this important verse that if by simply worshiping the demigods
one can achieve the heavenly planets, or by worshiping the pithru achieve the pithruloka planets, or
by practicing the black arts achieve the ghostly planets, why can't the pure devotee achieve the planet
of Krishna (Vaikunta) ? Unfortunately many people have no information of these sublime planets
where the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna resides, and because they do not know of them they fall down to
suffer in the cycle of repeated Birth & Death. Even the impersonalists who believe that the supreme is
formless fall down from the BRAHMA-JYOTI. The Krishna consciousness movement is therefore
distributing sublime information to the entire human society to the effect that by simply chanting the
Hare Krishna Mahamantra one can become perfect in this life and go back home, back to Godhead
and can permanently get rid of the cycle of birth and death.

DIVISIONS OF FAITH ENDS AFTER SURRENDERING TO THE SUPREME

LORD

Bhagavad Gita 2.41

"vyavasytmik buddhir

ekeha kuru-nandana

bahu-kh hy anant ca buddhayo vyavasyinm"

"Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the
Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched"

A strong faith that by Krishna consciousness one will be elevated to the highest perfection of life is
called "VYAVASYTMIK" intelligence. Faith means uninching trust in something sublime. When one
is engaged in the duties of Krishna consciousness, he need not act in relationship to the material
world with obligations to family traditions, humanity or nationality. Fruitive activities are the
engagements of ones reactions from past good or bad deeds. When one is awake in Ka
consciousness, he need no longer endeavor for good results in his activities. When one is situated in
Ka consciousness, all activities are on the absolute plane, for they are no longer subject to dualities
like good and bad. The highest perfection of spirituality is renunciation of the material conception of
life which is automatically achieved by progressive Krishna consciousness. The resolute purpose of a
person in Krishna consciousness is based on knowledge.

Bhagavad Gita 7.3

"manuy sahasreu

kacid yatati siddhaye

yatatm api siddhn

kacin m vetti tattvata"

"Out of many thousands among men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have
achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth".

Bhagavad Gita 7.19

"bahn janmanm ante jnavn m prapadyate vsudeva sarvam iti

sa mahtm su-durlabha"

"After millions and millions of births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto Me,
knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare"

A person in Krishna consciousness is the rare good soul who knows perfectly that Vsudeva, or
Krishna, is the root of all causes. As by watering the root of a tree one automatically distributes water
to the leaves and branches, so by acting in Krishna consciousness one can render the highest service
to everyone namely self, family, society, country, humanity, etc. One who is not rmly xed in mind
is diverted by various types of fruitive acts. On the other hand if Krishna is satised by ones actions,
then everyone will be satised.

Service in Ka consciousness is, however, best practiced under the able guidance of a Spiritual
master who is a bona de representative of Krishna and who knows the nature of the student and can
guide him to act in perfect Krishna consciousness. As such, to be well versed in Krishna consciousness
one has to act rmly and obey the representative of Krishna, and one should accept the instruction of
the bona de spiritual master as ones mission in life. By satisfaction of the spiritual master, the
Supreme Personality of Godhead becomes satised and one is promoted to the plane of Krishna
consciousness. The whole process, however, depends on perfect knowledge of the soul beyond the
conception of the body not theoretically but practically, when there is no longer a chance for sense
gratication manifested in the form of fruitive activities.

The ultimate fact behind the creation.

Bhagavad Gita 10.8

"aha sarvasya prabhavo

matta sarva pravartate

iti matv bhajante m

budh bhva-samanvit"

I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who
perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.

Srimad Bhagavatam TEXT 1.3.1

"jaghe paurua rpa

bhagavn mahad-dibhi sambhta oaa-kalam

dau loka-siskay"

"In the beginning of the creation, the Lord first expanded Himself in the universal form of the purua
incarnation and manifested all the ingredients for the material creation. And thus at first there was
the creation of the 16 principles of material action. This was for the purpose of creating the material
universes".

PURPORT The Bhagavad-gt states that the Personality of Godhead, r Krishna, maintains
these material universes by extending His expansions. So this purua form is the confirmation of the
same principle. The original Personality of Godhead Vsudeva, or Lord Ka, who is famous as the son
of King Vasudeva or King Nanda, is full with all Opulences. A part of His opulence is manifested in 3
purua features in the material creation, namely Kraodakay Viu or Mah-Viu is the first of
the 3. The others are known as the Garbhodakay Viu and the Krodakay Viu, which we
shall know one after another.

The innumerable universes are generated from the skin holes of this Kraodakay Viu, and in
each one of the universes the Lord enters as Garbhodakay Viu. Then from the navel of
Garbhodakay Viu a Lotus flower sprouts on the top of which Lord Brahma the Secondary creator
appears. After that Lord Brahma creates all the living entities and all the temporary planets as per the
instructions given by the Supreme Lord. In each atoms of all the planets and in the hearts of each
living entity the Lord again enters as Krodakay Viu who is referred in Vedas as the all
pervading PARAMATMA. The temporary material world is created at certain intervals and then again
destroyed. There are two categories of living entities 1. nitya siddha 2. nitya baddha. The nitya
siddhas are fully surrendered souls who resides in VAIKUNTA with the lord. We nitya-baddhas or the
conditioned souls who are always subject to the condition of Birth, Old Age, Disease and Death have
the sense of individuality or ahakra, that dictates to them sense enjoyment, which they are unable
to have constitutionally. The Supreme Lord Sri Krishna is the only enjoyer, and all others are enjoyed.
But the eternally conditioned souls, forgetful of this constitutional position, have strong aspirations to
enjoy. So the chance to have temporary material enjoyment is given to the conditioned souls in the
material world, and side by side they are given the chance to understand their real constitutional
position through Vedic Scriptures.

[3:27 PM, 3/19/2017] +91 98404 03435: GITA GROUP Class 15 Page 3

Those fortunate living entities who catch the truth and surrender unto the lotus feet of Vsudeva
after many, many births in the material world join the eternally liberated souls and thus are allowed
to enter into the kingdom of Godhead (VAIKUNTA). In sanskrit "KUNTA" means miseries and
"VAIKUNTA" means complete absence of miseries. After this, such fortunate living entities need not
come again within the occasional material creation. But those who does not have the desire to catch
the constitutional truth are again merged into the mahat-tattva at the time of the annihilation of the
material creation and will be put in the cycle of Birth, Old Age, Disease and Death again and again.

Primarily this mahat-tattva is divided into 16 parts, namely the 5 gross material elements (pancha
bhutam) which includes earth, water, re, air and ether

AND
the 11 working instruments or senses namely 5 for acquiring knowledge: the eyes, ears, nose, tongue
and skin. Then 5 working senses: voice, legs, hands, anus and genitals and above the senses, there is
the Mind.

Thus Bhagavan Sri Krishna is the ULTIMATE ROOT CAUSE of the entire creation and those who
completely surrenders unto him attains eternity.
GITA GROUP Class 16

The appearance of Lord BRAHMA

Srimad Bhagavatam TEXT 1.3.2

"yasymbhasi aynasya

yoga-nidr vitanvata

nbhi-hradmbujd sd

brahm viva-sj pati"

"A part of the supreme lord lies down within the water of the universe, from the navel lake of his
body sprouts a lotus stem, and from the lotus flower atop this stem, BRAHM, the master of all
engineers in the universe, becomes manifest".

For creation the supreme Lord SRI KRISHNA expands as three purua-avatras. First as
"KRAODAKAY VIU or MAHAVISHNU". From his skin holes innumerable universes have sprung
up. In each and every universe, the MAHAVISHNU enters as the "GARBHODAKAY VIU". He is
lying within the half of the universe which is full with the water of his body. And from the navel of
GARBHODAKAY VIU has sprung the stem of the lotus flower, the birthplace of BRAHM, who is
the father of all living beings and the master of all the Demigods who is engaged in the perfect design
and working of the universal order. Within the stem of the lotus there are fourteen divisions of
planetary systems, and the earthly planets are situated in the middle. Upwards there are other, better
planetary systems, and the topmost system is called BRAHMALOKA or SATYALOKA. Downwards from
the earthly planetary system there are seven lower planetary systems inhabited by the asuras and
similar other materialistic living beings.

From GARBHODAKAY VIU there is expansion of the "KRODAKAY VIU", who is the all
pervading Paramtm in the heart of all living beings. He is called hari, and from him all incarnations
within the universe are expanded.

Therefore, the conclusion is that the purua-avatra is manifested in three features - First the
Kraodakay who creates aggregate material ingredients for creation, Second the
Garbhodakay who enters in each and every universe, and Third the Krodakay Viu who is
the Paramtm of every material object, moving or non moving. One who knows these features of the
Personality of Godhead knows Godhead properly, and thus the knower becomes freed from the
material conditions of Birth, Death, Old age and Disease, as it is confirmed in Bhagavad-gt.

In this loka the subject matter of Mah-Viu is summarized. The Mah-Viu lies down in some
part of the spiritual sky by His own free will. Thus He lies on the ocean of kraa, from where he
glances over his material nature, and the mahat-tattva is at once created. Thus electrified by the
power of the Lord, the material nature at once creates innumerable universes, just as in due course a
tree decorates itself with innumerable grown fruits. The seed of the tree is sown by the cultivator, and
the tree or creeper in due course becomes manifested with so many fruits. Nothing can take place
without a cause. The Kraa Ocean is therefore called the Causal Ocean. KRAA means CAUSAL.

We should not foolishly accept the atheistic theory of creation. The description of the atheists is
given in the Bhagavad-gt. The atheist does not believe in the creator, but he cannot give a good
theory to explain the creation. Material nature has no power to create without the power of the
purua, just as a prakti, or woman, cannot produce a child without the connection of a purua, or
man. The purua impregnates, and the prakti delivers. We should not expect milk from the fleshy
bags on the neck of a goat, although they look like breastly nipples. Similarly, we should not expect
any creative power from the material ingredients; we must believe in the power of the purua, who
impregnates prakti, or nature. Because the Lord wished to lie down in meditation, the material
energy created innumerable universes at once, in each of them the Lord lay down, and thus all the
planets and the different paraphernalia were created at once by the will of the Lord. The Lord has
unlimited potencies, and thus He can act as he likes by perfect planning, although personally he has
nothing to do.

Thus Lord Brahma has been created by Lord Krishna through the expansion of his expansion
Garbhodakay vishnu for creating the temporary material world for those living beings who want to
be independent of the supreme lord Sri Krishna. And the knowledge for creation has also been
bestowed to Lord Brahma by the supreme lord.

" NO ONE IS GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO HIM"

That is the verdict of all the Vedas.

In the beginning, Lord Brahm created four great sages named Sanaka, Sananda, Santana and
Sanat-kumra for further creation. The four sons of Brahm, who were called the four Kumras,
declined to become family men even on the request of their great father, Brahm. Brahm spoke to
his sons after generating them. My dear sons he said, now generate progeny. But due to their
being attached to Vsudeva, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, they aimed at liberation, and
therefore they expressed their unwillingness" On the refusal of the sons to obey the order of their

[iva] the greatest of Vaiavas, similarly rmad-Bhgavatam is the greatest of all Puras"

In the above sloka it is clearly mentioned that Lord shiva is the greatest Vaisnava (devotee of lord
Vishnu).

In Brahma samhitha 5.43

Lord Brahma clearly explains the position of the abode of Durga, Shiva and the Supreme lord Hari. He
also affirms Lord Govinda as "di-purusham" which means the ultimate source of all the sources and
the cause of all the causes.

"goloka-nmni nija-dhmni tale ca tasya

devi mahesa-hari-dhmasu tesu tesu

te te prabhva-nicay vihits ca yena

govindam di-purusham tam aham bhajmi"

" Lowest of all is located Devi-dhma [mundane world], next above it is Mahesa-dhma [abode of
Maheswara]; above Mahesa-dhma is placed Hari-dhma (abode of Narayana who is the expansion of
the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna) and above them all is located Krishna's own realm named GOLOKA. I
adore the primeval Lord Govinda, who has allotted their respective authorities to the rulers of those
graded realms"
The realm of GOLOKA stands highest above all others. Brahm looking up to the higher position of
Goloka is speaking of the other realms from the point of view of his own realm. The first in order is
this mundane world called DEVI-DHMA consisting of the fourteen worlds, viz., Brahmaloka, Svarga
loka etc. Then next above Devi-dhma is located Shiva-dhma or KAILASH where Lord Shiva resides.
And above it appears Hari-dhma or the transcendental Vaikuntaloka of Narayana. In Vaikuntaloka
there are different planets alloted for each expansions of the supreme lord such as Narasimha,Varaha
etc. At the top of Vaikunta lies the abode of the original supreme personality of godhead Sri Krishna
known as "GOLOKA VRINDAVAN". Except in "VAIKUNTALOKA" all the other residents in all the
different planets are subject to birth and death although the life span may be much more compared
to us.

Rig Veda 1.22.20

"om tad vishno paramam padam sada pasyanti surayaha"

" To be always at the lotus feet of Lord Vishnu is the glorious qualification of all the demigods"

Many insignificant souls like us are mostly insubordinate and rebellious against the Supreme Lord
whereas all the very powerful 33 million demigods (devas) starting from Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva etc.
always humbly consider themselves subordinate and meditates on the Lotus feet of the Supreme
Lord as they are fully cognizant of the Supreme position of Lord Sri Krishna. So we should honour the
demigods for being exalted devotees and pray to them to acquire sufficient Vedic knowledge for
perfectly surrendering to the supreme lord Sri Krishna. They are definitely more powerful than
ordinary human beings but still are subordinate to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.

Who is the man in material perplexities?

It is he who does not understand the real problems of life and the purpose of this rare human form.

In the Bhad-rayaka Upanishad (3.8.10) the perplexed man is described as follows

"yo v etad akara grgy AVIDITVSM lokt praitisa KPAA"

He is a miserly man who does not solve the problems of life as a human and who thus quits this
world like the cats and dogs wasting his entire life in eating, sleeping, breeding & defending without
understanding the science of self-realization and God-realization.

This human form of life is a most valuable asset for the living entity, who can utilize it for solving the
recurring problems of life namely Birth, Old Age, Disease and Death. The word "AVIDITVSM" is
very significant which means "MISUSE" of human form. Every one of us is in this vicious cycle but due
to illusion most of us always fails to understand the evils of "BIRTH, DEATH, OLD AGE and DISEASE
(JANMA-MTYU-JAR-VYDHI)" in each and every birth. One who does not utilize this opportunity of
human form properly is a miser.

"Ya etad akara grgi VIDITVSML lokt praitisa BRHMAA."

"On the other hand, there is the brhmaa, or he who is intelligent enough to utilize this body to solve
all the problems of life."

Here the brahmana refers to the quality of a person and not the "CASTE BY BIRTH". Any person born
in any caste can become a Brahmana by understanding the science of self realization. The word
"VIDITVSM" is very significant which means "PROPER USE" of human form. The kpaas, or miserly
persons, waste their time in being overly affectionate for family, society, country, etc., in the material
conception of life. One is often attached to temporary family life, namely to wife, children and other
members, on the basis of "Skin Disease. The kpaa thinks that he is able to protect his family
members from death or that his family or society can save him from the verge of death. Such family
attachment can be found even in the lower animals who take care of their children.

The real purpose of human form is to get liberated from the vicious cycle of birth, old age, disease and
by reviving our eternal relationship with the supreme godhead Sri Krishna (MUKTI). This can be
done only by chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and gaining the real ultimate knowledge from
Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic scriptures.

The three modes of Material nature

Bhagavad Gita 14.5

"sattva rajas tama iti

gu prakti-sambhav nibadhnanti mah-bho

dehe dehinam avyayam"

"Material nature consists of three modes GOODNESS (Sattva Gunam), PASSION (Rajo Gunam)and
IGNORANCE (Tamo Gunam). When the eternal living entity comes in contact with nature, O
mighty-armed Arjuna, he becomes conditioned by these modes".

PURPORT The mode of GOODNESS, being purer than the others, is illuminating, and it frees one
from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode become conditioned by a sense of happiness
and knowledge and not so much affected by material miseries. The representative type is the
brhmaa, who is supposed to be situated in the mode of goodness. The best examples are the
scientist and the philosopher. The difculty here is that each is very proud of his knowledge, and
because they generally improve their living conditions, they feel a sort of material happiness. This
sense of advanced happiness in conditioned life makes them bound by the mode of goodness of
material nature. Thus there is no likelihood of liberation, or of being transferred to the spiritual world.
Repeatedly one may become a philosopher, a scientist or a poet, and repeatedly become entangled in
the same disadvantages of birth and death. But, due to the illusion of the material energy, one thinks
that sort of life is pleasant.

The mode of PASSION is born of unlimited desires and longings, and is characterized by the
attraction between man and woman . has attraction for man, and has attraction for woman.
This is called the mode of passion. And when the mode of passion is increased, one develops the
hankering for material enjoyment. For sense gratication, a man in the mode of passion wants some
honor in society, or in the nation, and he wants to have a happy family, with nice , wife and . These
are the products of the mode of passion. As long as one is hankering after these things, he has to work
very hard. Therefore it is clearly stated here that he becomes associated with the fruits of his activities
and thus becomes bound by such activities. In order to please his wife, children and society and to
keep up his prestige, one has to work. Therefore, the whole material world is more or less in the
mode of passion. If there is no liberation for those in the mode of goodness, what to speak of those
who are entangled in the mode of passion.

The mode of IGNORANCE, is the delusion of all embodied living entities. The results of this mode are
madness, indolence and sleep, which bind the conditioned soul. The denition of the mode of
ignorance is stated in the Vedic literature.

"Vastu-ythtmya-jnvaraka viparyaya-jna-janaka tama"

"under the spell of ignorance, one cannot understand a thing as it is"

For example, everyone can see that his grandfather has died and therefore he will also die and the
children that he conceives will also die. So death is sure. Still, people are madly accumulating money
and working very hard all day and night, not caring for the ETERNAL SPIRIT. This is madness. When
they are invited to associate for spiritual understanding, they are not much interested. Another
symptom of one embedded in the mode of ignorance is that he sleeps more than is required. Six
hours of sleep is sufcient, but a man in the mode of ignorance sleeps at least ten or twelve hours a
day. Such a man appears to be always dejected and is addicted to intoxicants and sleeping. These are
the symptoms of a person conditioned by the mode of ignorance.

Simple foodstuff like grains, vegetables, fruits and milk is considered to be in the mode of GOODNESS.
Hot, pungent foodstuffs is for persons in the mode of PASSION. Non Vegetarian foodstuffs,
Intoxicants is for those in the mode of IGNORANCE.

When the mind is in the mode of GOODNESS,his activities are good; when the mind is in the mode of
PASSION,his activities are troublesome;and when the mind is in the mode of IGNORANCE, he travels
in the lower species of life.

When one dies in the mode of GOODNESS, he attains to the pure higher planets of the great sages.
When one dies in the mode of PASSION, he takes birth among those engaged in fruitive activities; and
when one dies in the mode of IGNORANCE, he takes birth in the animal kingdom. But all of them will
be in the vicious cycle of Birth, Old age, Disease and Death.

By chanting the HARE KRISHNA MAHAMANTRA one gradually raises above the three modes of
Material nature called the UDDHA-SATTVA GUNAM (PURE GOODNESSS)

rmad-Bhgavatam (4.3.23)

Here Lord iva explains when can one becomes qualified to understand the supreme godhead
Vasudeva.

"sattva viuddha vasudeva-abdita yad yate tatra pumn apvta sattve ca tasmin bhagavn
vsudevo hy adhokajo me manas vidhyate"

The condition of PURE GOODNESS [uddha-sattva], in which the Supreme Personality of Godhead
is revealed without any covering, is called Vasudeva state. In that pure state the Supreme Godhead,
who is beyond the material senses and who is known as Vsudeva, is perceived by my mind.

One can transcend all the activities of the three modes of material nature namely GOODNESS
(Sattva Gunam), PASSION (Rajo Gunam)and IGNORANCE (Tamo Gunam) simply by understanding
them properly from the liberated souls who are in the mode of PURE GOODNESSS (uddha sattva
gunam). The real spiritual master is Ka, and he is imparting this spiritual knowledge to Arjuna.
Similarly, it is from those who are fully in Ka consciousness that one has to learn this science of
activities in terms of the modes of nature. Otherwise, ones life will be misdirected.

Therefore, the Lord and the pure devotees are called "NIVTTA-GUA-VTTI" (not affected by three
modes of material nature). When the embodied being surrenders to Lord Sri Krishna he will transcend
these three modes associated with the material body, will be in the mode of PURE GOODNESSS
(Suddha Sattva Gunam) and become free from birth, death, old age & death and can finally attain
VAIKUNTA even in this life. In Kali Yuga the one and only way to transcend the three modes is
chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

Stages of realization of Bhagavan Sri Krishna

rmad-Bhgavatam (1.2.11)

"vadanti tat tattva-vidas

tattva yaj jnam advayambrahmeti paramtmetibhagavn iti abdyate"

"Learned transcendentalists who know the Absolute Truth call this nondual substance as BRAHMAN,
PARAMTM or BHAGAVN"

PURPORT: The conception of the Absolute Truth is realized in three phases of understanding by the
knower ofthe Absolute Truth. Such phases of the Absolute Truth are expressed as Brahman,
Paramtm and Bhagavn. These three divine aspects can be explained by the example of the sun,
which also has three different aspects, namely the sunshine, the suns surface and the sun planet
itself. One who studies the sunshine only is the preliminary student. One who understands the suns
surface is further advanced. And one who can enter into the sun planet is the highest.

Ordinary students who are satised by simply understanding the sunshine, its universal
pervasiveness and the glaring effulgence of its impersonal nature may be compared to those who can
realize only the BRAHMAN feature of the Absolute Truth. The Student who has advanced still further
can know the sun disc, which is compared to knowledge of the PARAMTM feature of the absolute
Truth. And the student who can enter into the heart of the sun planet is compared to those who
realize the personal features of the Supreme absolute Truth "Bhagavn Sri Krishna".

Therefore, the devotees who have realized the Bhagavn feature of the Absolute Truth are the
topmost transcendentalists, although all are engaged in the realisation of the Absolute Truth. The
sunshine, the sun disc and the inner affairs of the sun planet cannot be separated from one another,
and yet the students of the three different phases are not in the same category
GITA GROUP Class 21

The FIVE factors that determine each and every action of every
individual living beings.

Bhagavad Gita 18.14

"adhihna tath kart

karaa ca pthag-vidham

vividh ca pthak ce

daiva caivtra pacamam"

"The place of action [the body], the performer (atma), the various senses, the many different kinds of
endeavor, and ultimately the Supersoul (paramatma) these are the ve factors of action".

The word adhihnam refers to the body. The soul within the body is acting to bring about the
results of activity and is therefore known as kart, the doer.

The soul is the knower and the doer is stated in the ruti.

Ea hi dra sra ( Prana Upaniad 4.9).

The instruments of action are the senses, and by the senses the soul acts in various ways. For each
and every action there is a different endeavor. But all ones activities depend on the will of the
Supersoul (Paramtm) who is seated within the heart as a friend. The Supreme Lord is the
supercause. Under these circumstances, he who is acting in Ka consciousness under the direction
of the Supersoul situated within the heart is naturally not bound by any activity and he will be
liberated from the vicious cycle of birth & death. All his pious as well as sinful accounts will be
nullified.

The fact is that every individual living entity is eternally a part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, and so
the living entities have fragmental portions of his qualities, of which "INDEPENDENCE" is one. The
supreme lord has given MINUTE INDEPENDENCE to every one because he expects "SPONTANEOUS
TRUE LOVE AND NOT COMPULSORY SUBORDINATION" from every living being. Therefore, the living
entity has the tendency to reject the sanction of the Supreme Lord and act independently in an
attempt to dominate nature, and because he has this tendency he is called the MARGINAL energy of
the Supreme Lord.

The living entity can be situated either in the MATERIAL energy or in the SPIRITUAL energy. He is just
like a "CAT ON THE WALL" and has the minute independence to jump on any side. As long as he is
conditioned by the material energy, the Supreme Lord, as his friend, the Supersoul, stays with him just
to get him to return to the spiritual energy. The Lord is always eager to take him back to the spiritual
world, but due to his minute independence the individual entity is continually rejecting the
association of spiritual light. This misuse of independence is the cause of his material strife in the
conditioned nature. The lord therefore, is always giving instruction from within and from without.
From without He gives instructions through Bhagavad-gt, and from within He tries to convince the
living entity that his activities in the material eld are not conducive to real happiness. Just give it up
and turn your faith toward Me. Then you will be happy" He says. Thus the intelligent person who
places his faith in the Paramtm (Supersoul) or the Supreme Personality of Godhead begins to
advance toward a blissful eternal life of knowledge.

As the supreme father of all living entities, He does not interfere with their independence, but gives
all facilities based on one's pious Karma so that they can fulll their material desires. Minute
independence is always there. The change his body undergoes depends upon him. At the time of
death, the consciousness he has created will carry him on to the next type of body. If he has made his
consciousness like that of a cat or dog, he is sure to change to a cats or dogs body. And if he has xed
his consciousness on godly qualities, he will change into the form of a demigod. And if he is in Ka
consciousness, he will be transferred to Kaloka in the spiritual world and will associate with Ka.
One who does not try to understand the instructions of the Gt is faithless, and is to be considered
to be misusing the fragmental independence awarded to him by the Lord.

Those in complete Krishna consciousness are not ultimately responsible for their actions. On the other
hand the soul which is far away from Ka consciousness will be completely responsible for his each
and every action which ultimately result in temporary suffering & happiness in the vicious cycle of
birth, old age, disease & death. Everything is ultimately dependent on the supreme will of the
Supersoul (the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna) and the Lord sanctions facilities as per
the desire of each and every individual beings.
GITA GROUP Class 22
This world is full of miseries and is temporary.

"DUKHLAYAM AVATAM"

A real spiritual institution is one which teaches that this material world is full of miseries and should
guide the people to get rid of it permanently through vedic injunctions. Almost all the spiritual
institutions are exploiting the general public by giving them false hope that they will solve their
problems which is not at all possible in this temporary material world which is full of miseries. Here

"TEMPORARY ABSENCE OF MISERIES IS CONSIDERED AS HAPPINESS"

Bhagavad Gita 8.15

"mm upetya punar janma dukhlayam avatam npnuvanti mahtmna sasiddhi param
gat"

"After attaining Me, the great souls, who are yogs in devotion, never return to this temporary world,
which is full of miseries, because they have attained the highest perfection"

PURPORT : Here the word "DUKHLAYAM AVATAM" is very significant. "DUKHLAYAM"

means "A place full of miseries" and "AVATAM" means "Not permanent". The one and only wish of
all living beings is "ETERNAL HAPPINESS". Every one of us is trying in each and every second of our life
to be happy always without interruption. Because as ETERNAL SOULS we deserve that. But we are
trying to achieve this in a wrong place. Just as a which struggles to live out of . Our original
destination is "VAIKUNTA" which means "ABSENCE OF MISERIES" and "KUNTA" means "FULL OF
MISERIES". Since this temporary material world is full of the miseries of birth, old age, disease and
death, naturally he who achieves the highest perfection and attains the supreme planet, Kaloka
(Goloka Vndvana) does not wish to return.

Bhagavad Gita 8.16

"-brahma-bhuvanl lok

punar vartino arjuna

mm upetya tu kaunteya

punar janma na vidyate"

"From the highest planet (Brahmaloka) in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of
misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains to My abode, O son of
Kunt, never takes birth again"

In the vedas it is mentioned

"brahma saha te sarve samprpte pratisacare

parasynte kttmna

pravianti para padam"

When there is devastation of this material universe, Brahm and his devotees, who are constantly
engaged in Krishna consciousness, are all transferred to the spiritual universe".

PURPORT: All kinds of yogs karma, jna, haha, etc. eventually have to attain devotional
perfection in bhakti-yoga, or Krishna consciousness, before they can go to Kas transcendental
abode and never return. Those who attain the highest material planets, the planets of the demigods
namely BRAHMA LOKA, SVARGA LOKA etc. are also subjected to repeated birth and death although
the life span may be much more compared to us. As persons on earth are elevated to higher planets,
people on higher planets such as "BRAHMALOKA, CANDRALOKA and INDRALOKA(SVARGALOKA)" fall
down to earth after their pious credits finishes. The practice of sacrice called pacgni-vidy,
recommended in the Chndogya Upaniad, enables one to achieve Brahmaloka, but if, on
Brahmaloka, one does not cultivate Krishna consciousness, then he must return to earth. Those who
progress in Krishna consciousness on the higher planets are gradually elevated to higher and higher
planets and at the time of universal devastation are transferred to the eternal spiritual kingdom
(Vaikunta).
GITA GROUP Class 23

TO WHOM WE SHOULD SURRENDER

Neither Lord Brahma nor Lord Shiva, Karthikeya, Ganesa, Durga etc. or any other demigods ever
demanded surrender from other living entities, as they are fully cognizant of the supreme position of
Lord Sri Krishna who is known as "MUKUNDA" the one who gives MUKTI to every living beings. The
demigods are in charge of providing temporary material benefits for all. But if any soul is very serious
in getting rid of the cycle of birth and death then the particular demigod with whom the soul is
attached will guide him to surrender to Lord Sri Krishna. Even Lord Jesus claimed himself as the "SON
OF GOD". But there are some unscrupulous ordinary persons who possess some extraordinary talents
claim themselves as God and demands surrender from others. There are also persons who worship
pure devotees of the Lord like Sri Raghavendra, Hanuman etc. as God by mistake.

Here the one and only person who is worshipped by all the 33 million demigods and who is really
capable of accepting surrender is commanding and demanding surrender from all the living beings as
the Supreme well wishing father of every one.

Bhagavad Gita 18.66

"sarva-dharmn parityajya

mm eka araa vraja

aha tv sarva-ppebhyo mokayiymi m uca"

"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful
reactions. Do not fear"

PURPORT: The Lord has described various kinds of knowledge and processes of religion. And now in
summarizing Bhagavad-gt, the Lord says that Arjuna should give up all the processes that have been
explained and he should simply surrender to him. That surrender will save him from all kinds of sinful
reactions, for the Lord personally promises to protect him. one may think that unless he is free from
all sinful reactions he cannot take to the surrendering process. To such doubts it is here said that even
if one is not free from all sinful reactions, simply by the process of surrendering to r Ka he is
automatically freed. There is no need of strenuous effort to free oneself from sinful reactions. One
should unhesitatingly accept Ka as the supreme savior of all living entities and with faith & love,
one should surrender unto Him.

There are different kinds of transcendentalists some of them are attached to the impersonal
Brahman vision, some of them are attracted by the Supersoul feature, etc., but one who is attracted
to the personal feature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead as Ka Himself, is the most perfect
transcendentalist. In other words, devotional service to Ka, in full consciousness, is the most
condential part of knowledge, and this is the essence of the whole Bhagavad-gt. Karma-yogs,
empiric philosophers, mystics and devotees are all called transcendentalists, but one who is a pure
devotee is the best of all.

The particular words used here, m uca, Dont fear, dont hesitate, dont worry, are very
signicant. One may be perplexed as to how one can give up all kinds of religious forms, rituals etc.
and simply surrender unto KRISHNA, but such worry is useless. The ultimate purpose and goal of
human life is Surrendering to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna.

The process of surrender for this kali Yuga is chanting of the HARE KRISHNA MAHAMANTRA and every
intelligent person must immediately start surrendering to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna with perfect
knowledge and clarity.
GITA GROUP Class 24

YUGA DHARMA
(The process of SURRENDER for each Yuga)

Srimad Bhagavatam 12.3.52

"kte yad dhyyato viu trety yajato makhai

dvpare paricaryy

kalau tad hari-krtant"

"Whatever result was obtained in SATYA-yuga by meditating on Viu, in TRET-yuga by performing

sacrifices, and in DVPARA-yuga by serving the Lords lotus feet can be obtained in KALI-yuga simply
by chanting the Holy name of Hari"

There are four Yugas. In SATYA-yuga the YUGA DHARMA was Tapas (Meditation) on Krishna, in
TRET-yuga it was performing Yajna (sacrifices), in DVPARA-yuga the Yuga dharma was serving the
Lords deities lotus feet (paricaryy) and in KALI-YUGA the Yuga dharma is CHANTING the

"HARE KRISHNA MAHAMANTRA"

HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA

KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE

HARE RMA HARE RMA

RMA RMA HARE HARE

(hari-krtant).

"YUGA" refers to certain number of years. The SATYA YUGA is characterized by virtue, wisdom and
religion, there being practically no ignorance and vice, and the yuga lasts 1,728,000 years. In the
TRET-YUGA vice is introduced, and this yuga lasts 1,296,000 years. In the DVPARA-YUGA there is an
even greater decline in virtue and religion, vice increasing, and this yuga lasts 864,000 years. And
nally in KALI-YUGA (the yuga we have now been experiencing over the past 5,000 years) there is an
abundance of strife, ignorance, irreligion and vice, true virtue being practically nonexistent, and this
yuga lasts 432,000 years. In Kali-yuga vice increases to such a point that at the termination of the yuga
the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna Himself appears as the KALKI avatra, vanquishes the demons, saves His
devotees, and commences another Satya-yuga. Then the process is set rolling again.

"YUGA DHARMA" refers to the one and only process of surrender to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna
through which each living entity irrespective of Caste, Country or Species can get rid of the cycle of
Birth, Old age, Disease and Death in a particular Yuga. But this can be implemented only in human
form. Yuga Dharma alone can protect a living entity from the evil effects of his past sins in each and
every second of a particular Yuga. Yuga Dharma nullifies the results of both the pious and sinful
activities of a living entity which is the root cause for one's REBIRTH. If a person starts implementing
the process of Yuga Dharma with FULL SERIOUSNESS and UNFLINCHING FAITH then he need not
follow any other ritualistic process prescribed in the Sastras such as for the Birth (Punya janam, Ayush
omam), Death (Shradha Ceremony) or Maintenance of a living entity (House warming, Sandhya
Vandanam, Other Yajnas etc.) . All the ritualistic activities may serve as a temporary atonement for
our previous sins whereas the YUGA DHARMA nullifies our previous sins and gradually uproots the
propensity to commit further sins.

" YUGA DHARMA is the ultimate END of all RITUALISTIC ACTIVITIES and the BEGINNING of PURE
DEVOTIONAL SERVICE"

The ultimate purpose of all the rituals are to bring a living entity to the ultimate level of implementing
the Yuga Dharma with complete knowledge and unflinching faith so that each living entity can attain
its supreme eternal destination "VAIKUNTA". RITUALS may give some TEMPORARY RELIEF but the
YUGA DHARMA gives a PERMANENT SOLUTION to all the problems. RITUALS only takes care of the
requirements "BETWEEN BIRTH & DEATH". But the YUGA DHARMA takes care of "BETWEEN BIRTH &
DEATH" and also"BEYOND BIRTH & DEATH". All the RITUALS becomes SPIRITUALS only when it is
performed for satisfying the Supreme Lord SRI KRISHNA.

Therefore Lord Sri Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita 18.66

"sarva-dharmn parityajya

mm eka araa vraja "

"Abandon all Dharma and just surrender unto me"

Only when a living entity takes the process of Yuga Dharma his final journey towards "VAIKUNTA"
starts gradually. Otherwise he will be in the repeated cycle of Birth, Old age, Disease & Death in this
temporary material world which is full of "KUNTA". KUNTA" means miseries and "VAIKUNTA" means
absence of miseries.

The final conclusion (Siddantham) of all the vedas compiled by srila

Vyasadeva.

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.2829

"vsudeva-par ved

vsudeva-par makh

vsudeva-par yog

vsudeva-par kriy

vsudeva-para jna

vsudeva-para tapa

vsudeva-paro dharmo

vsudeva-par gati"

"In the revealed scriptures, the ultimate object of knowledge is r Ka, the Supreme Personality of
Godhead. The purpose of performing sacrifice is to please Him. Yoga is for realizing Him. All fruitive
activities are ultimately rewarded by Him only. He is supreme knowledge, and all severe austerities
are performed to know Him. Religion [dharma] is rendering loving service unto Him. He is the
supreme goal of life".

PURPORT That r Ka, the Personality of Godhead, is the only object of worship is confirmed in
these two lokas. In the Vedic literature there is the same objective: establishing ones relationship
and ultimately reviving our lost loving service unto Him. That is the sum and substance of the Vedas.
In the Bhagavad-gt the same theory is confirmed by the Lord in His own words: the ultimate
purpose of the Vedas is to know Him only.

Bhagavad Gita TEXT 15.15

"sarvasya cha hdi sannivio matta smtir jnam apohana ca vedai ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vednta-kd veda-vid eva cham"

" I am seated in everyones heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness.
By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vednta, and I am the knower of the
Vedas"

All the revealed scriptures are prepared by the Lord through His literary incarnation as rla
Vysadeva just to remind the fallen souls, conditioned by material nature, of r Ka, the
Personality of Godhead. No demigod can award freedom from material bondage. That is the verdict of
all the Vedic literatures. Impersonalists who have no information of the Personality of Godhead
minimize the omnipotency of the Supreme Lord and put Him on equal footing with all other living
beings, and for this act such impersonalists get freedom from material bondage only with very great
difficulty. They can surrender unto Him only after many, many births in the culture of transcendental
knowledge.

One may argue that the Vedic activities are based on sacrificial ceremonies. That is true. But all such
sacrifices are also meant for realizing the truth about Vsudeva. Another name of Vsudeva is Yaja
(sacrifice), and in the Bhagavad-gt it is clearly stated that all sacrifices and all activities are to be
conducted for the satisfaction of Yaja, or Viu, the Personality of Godhead. This is the case also with
the YOGA systems. YOGA means to get into touch with the Supreme Lord. The process, however,
includes several bodily features such as sana, dhyna, pryma and meditation, and all of them
are meant for concentrating upon the localized aspect of Vsudeva represented as Paramtm.
Paramtm realization is only a partial realization of Vsudeva, and if one is successful in that
attempt, one realizes Vsudeva in full. But by ill luck most yogs are stranded by the powers of
mysticism achieved through the bodily process. Ill-fated yogs are given a chance in the next birth by
being placed in the families of good learned brhmaas or in the families of rich merchants in order to
execute the unfinished task of Vsudeva realization. If such fortunate brhmaas and sons of rich men
properly utilize the chance, they can easily realize Vsudeva by good association with saintly persons.
Unfortunately, such preferred persons are captivated again by material wealth and honor, and thus
they practically forget the aim of life.

This is also so for the culture of knowledge. According to Bhagavad-gt there are eighteen items in
culturing knowledge. By such culture of knowledge one becomes gradually prideless, devoid of vanity,
nonviolent, forbearing, simple, devoted to the great spiritual master, and self-controlled. By culture of
knowledge one becomes unattached to hearth and home and becomes conscious of the miseries due
to death, birth, old age and disease. And all culture of knowledge culminates in devotional service to
the Personality of Godhead, Vsudeva. Therefore, Vsudeva is the ultimate aim in culturing all
different branches of knowledge. Culture of real knowledge leads one to the transcendental plane of
